The welcome at Caesar House was just what I needed after an early flight, much traffic, and being concerned I was late for my meeting. The staff greeted me by name and took care of everything, sending me on my way with directions that worked. The rooms are all individual and beautifully appointed. Beds and sheets are very comfortable and the bathrooms roomy. I use the plural because I had one room and then moved to another (becuase of the wifi - see below). Breakfast can be served in the bedroom - really delicious with fruit and extra coffee - and the soft drink bar is free. The second best thing about Caesar House is location - right next to restaurants and super sights, even if, like me, you ended up only having an hour or so to look around. The car to the airport was 27 euros in the early morning (50 in traffic). One point - the wifi is not super good. It only reaches certain rooms and then is very erratic. This caused me problems, because I was in Rome on business. If they upgrade, then Caesar house would be my preferred hotel anytime. However, the staff were so helpful, and made every effort to move me to a better connected room. Thanks Caesar House!

This was our second stay at Caesar House and the staff couldn't have been nicer in welcoming us back. Although this visit to Rome was short, we were provided with outstanding recommendations for restaurants and for somewhat less crowded places to see while we were there. The location of Caesar House is perfect for us, at the first metro stop from the train station, and is within walking distance for many major city sites. I highly recommend it.

The booking was very easy,no complications at all.Hotel practically faultless.A little noisy outside one night, big group of people up to something outside in the early hours, clearly couldn't be helped.Staff at hotel were beyond helpful.Never had service so good. All the advice you could ask for, details, websites.Booked restaurant for me for girlfriends birthday. They also helped enormously when I told them I intended to propose whilst there.Would strongly advise anyone to stay here.If I visit Rome again I wouldn't even bother to look at other hotels.Brilliant!.

Great central location; we were able to walk to all the sites - Coliseam, Trevi Fountain, Vatican City, etc. Best linen's we ever sleep on, and greta service. Only negative (in our minds) was that it took toilet about 5-10 minutes to fill after flushing. We thought it was broken, but was told it was the norm.

The quality of the Caesar House hotel enhanced our stay in Rome enormously. From the first welcome to the final goodbye we were treated like treasured friends. Nothing was too much trouble, with every request met with graciousness, and with superb attention to detail. The rooms were stylish, comfortable and spotless. The breakfast delicious, generous and varied. There was a sitting room and a gym, both of which we took advantage of, well equipped and comfortable. The location couldn't be better: a short walk to the Colosseum in one direction, and the Piazza Venezia in the other, with their associated public transport links. In the small square behind the hotel was a restaurant we kept returning to, great food and service, reasonable prices - sorry can't remember its name - the hotel staff suggested it! We highly recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to return.

We were thrilled with the stay at the Caesar House. The staff were warm and welcoming and extremely helpful. They secured transportation for us for our 4am flight which was prompt and courteous. The room was on the street side and very quiet! We were worried initially about the proximity to the street, but were happy after all. The beds are very comfortable- luxury linens and the breakfast solid. It is 2 minutes from the colliseum and Roman Forum. Thanks for offering this lovely B&B on your website. We recommend it whole-heartedly to any who travel to Rome.

We loved the location of our hotel - close enough to many historic sites to enable us to return to our room to rest between sites. The staff was extremely helpful (in English) at recommending places to visit and eat and providing maps and directions. Free internet was available in the lobby and cable tv had several English channels. The rooms were very nice, clean, and included a breakfast. We would definitely recommend the hotel. Be prepared to take a elevator a couple of floors up to get to the lobby.

Rome is very expensive to eat and drink in but the surrounding areas around Ceaser house are very welcoming and great value for money. We dined where the local residents dine and the prices are half of the tourist areas. The staff are superb and I would not hesitate to recomend this hotel. All sights are within walking distance and there are two metro stops within 10 minutes of the hotel. A truly safe and welcoming area of Rome.

We LOVED this hotel. It's close to many historical sites, restaurants, and shopping. Everything (except the Vatican) is within walking distance and there is a metro station just up the street. Our hosts, Roseanna, Yunni, and Julia, were wonderful!!! They were gracious, friendly, warm, helpful -- we couldn't have asked for more. When we were planning our trip we hoped to find something a little less expensive, (the dollar is very weak right now:) -- but the price was comparable to other hotels we condsidered. The rooms were larger than most hotel rooms in Europe and were very clean. If we ever have the opportunity to go back to Rome we would definitely stay at the Ceasar House again.

This was the first stop in our three city tour of Italy, and it spoiled us - the next two hotels couldn't come close. The rooms were really nice, the beds relatively comfy, everything was spotless, and the people were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect - we were able to get everywhere either by foot or by the nearby metro stops. There were some nice restaurants nearby (just ask Rosanna where to eat, she gave us two great places), and an excellent gelataria just a few doors down. I highly recommend this hotel, if I am ever lucky enough to return to Rome I would definitely stay there again.

It is very difficult when looking at all these different hotels but I must recommend this one. It was so clean and the staff so friendly. It has such a perfect location for all the sites and is a good location for the Metro too so even if you want to be lazy and not walk it is only 3 mins to the subway. I will definitely be going back to this hotel in the future. It was made so special as my girlfriend and I got engaged as well while we were there and this place made the icing on the cake as it was so good. Thanks for a great stay!

This a small family hotel that offers a very nice atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and clean and the hotel is located close to the Coloseum. Staff was discrete, friendly and very helpful in providing extra info. The only drawback is the price 180 euros/night which I consider relatively high for a small hotel during the off peak season.

After discovering the "Caesar Residence House" on the website and reviewing the amenities offered, we thought we had discovered a good place to stay while visiting Rome. When we arrived there we discovered it was a "great" place to stay in Rome. I almost don't want to tell everyone how wonderful the people there were or how satisfied we were with the rooms and location, since it may make it difficult for us to rebook when we return to Rome. The hospitality we received and the concern for helping us have a wonderful stay in Rome was shown in every contact we had with all the people at Caesar House.

I chose this hotel based on the comments made by previous occupants and they were spot on. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, to the point of enquiring if we were both okay as we had not made it down to breakfast on our second morning (breakfast was included so they were being genuine). Initial impression when you first arrive is that you are at the wrong place, as the hotel is on the 3rd floor, however once inside you will not be disappointed. The rooms have recently been refurbished to a high standard and there is plenty of room. But the best bit about this hotel is the location - your are literally seconds away from an amazing outlook over the Palantine and the Colosseum (it will take you a couple of minutes to actually walk there) and all the action is right on your doorstep. All-in-all I will definitely be recommending this hotel to all my friends and family.

The hotel is on the second floor with lift access from a common stairwell which is quite plain. The decor inside is bright and cheerful. The rooms are reasonably sized. Despite being on a busy street, traffic noise is low. The bed was firm. The fridge had soft drinks and a safe. The digibox for the TV didn't sit well beside the TV. The tiled floors are cool but you get slippers to keep you cosy. The staff were helpful without being in your face. If you ask, they will tell you what you need to know but they don't push themselves on you. There isn't tea/coffee in the room but they will get you coffee if you ask. Breakfast is delivered to the room on a tray at the time requested - cereal, coffee, juice, bread rolls, fruit, yogurt. Lots. The location is obviously what you pay for. Colesseum, forum, Vittoriana within minutes. There is no big sign outside the hotel so if you take public transport (117 bus), be sure you know where to get off.

I think this could be a truly excellent place that is let down by some small details and largely one member of staff. Small things like toilet paper not being replaced, dirty towels being taken away and not replaced & promises being made and not delivered on (for instance on our last morning we were told to stay in our room, we'd be served an early breakfast and they'd tell us when our cab arrived - only to sit in our room, the time for our cab to arrive came, a cab sat outside, we went to ask was that our cab, were told yes it was. As we pick up our bags to get the cab THEN we are asked do we want breakfast - um, what's the point, our cab's waiting). Rosanna was amazing, but the other staff let her down. Thanks Rosanna!

This was our first trip to Rome, as a surprise for my wife's 60th ! Rome was brilliant, and the whole occasion was enhanced by the lovely reception & attention to detail shown by the staff at Caesar House. A slight downside for some (but not us)is that there is no real opportunity to meet other guests - there is no bar etc.

It wasn't until the following morning in the daylight that you realise that the Caesar House in right in the middle of Ancient Rome. Across the road is the Roman Forum and the Coloseum is just 5 mins walk. Couple that with a very friendly hotel, clean and spacious rooms with advice on where to go, when and how. Travel arranged to and from the airport, it was just so easy. If you can put up with a slighty unusual entrance, then this hotel has to be at the top of the list. For my money couldn't be a better hotel, better placed in Rome.

The hotel reception area is unprofessional looking and the entrance to the hotel is very unattractive. However, the rooms are very large, attractive, and quiet. Although we did have to change rooms because of a bad odor which smelled like mildew, our second room was fine. Ask for the newer wing which is nicer. The hotel is a great value. We were not told of all the amenities until the last day, nor could the person who checked us in recommend any restaurants. Very close to the ruins.

Caesar House was fantastic. The staff are so friendly and eager to please. Very well run hotel. This is a boutique hotel and so naturally you won't find the facilities of a Hilton, but you will find character, charm, and personal service which you will certainly not get in a larger hotel. The other advantage is that it is right in the city - everything is a short walk away. If you stay in a large international chain hotel, you will spend a fortune on taxis etc. The rooms in this hotel are individual and very well furnished with all mod-cons. The staff will let you know the best sights and how best to see them, which restaurants are good and which to avoid (just tell them what kind of food, location and budget and they will recommend something). Can't rave enough about this place. We will stay there any time we go to Rome. Unbelievable for the price.

WE SPENT 2 NIGHTS AT THE CAESAR HOUSE, THE LOCATION NEAR THE COLISEUM WAS IDEAL BOTH FOR WALKING OR TAKING THE TRAIN FROM THE NEARBY STATION. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. THE BREAKFAST WAS DELICIOUS. ROSANNA AT THE SERVICE DESK WAS TREMENDOUSLY HELPFUL. SHE GAVE EXCELLENT TOURIST ADVICE, AS WELL AS DELICIOUS RESTAURANT SUGGESTIONS. WE ASKED FOR SIMPLE TRADITIONAL ITALIAN CUSINE, AND THE TWO RESTAURANTS SHE SUGGESTED SERVED SOME OF THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD OF OUR TWO WEEK TRIP. A PERFECT STAY. There were 6 of us staying in 3 double rooms for 2 weeks. We had a excellent stay. The rooms were terrific, clean, spacious, and very comfortable with excellent temp control. The best of the best feature was the superb staff. Enough can't be said for their service, attention, and friendliness, attending to all our special needs. They created a truly comfortable home-style atmosphere. The location was great too, only a 5 minute walk to the Forum and Colosseum area and to the Metro for getting around most all of Rome. My daughter and I were first time visitors on a two week Italian trip but have travelled extensively. Guilia, the young gentleman, Simona, and Michelle were delightful and thoughtful hosts. I felt like we were living in someone's home. There was a misunderstanding with the room rate when we added a room one night but Guilia graciously split the difference. My daughter particularly enjoyed the "breakfast in bed" each morning. This by far was my favorite accomodation in Italy!

The Caesar House Residenze Romane was phenomenal! The location was superb, the staff was extremely helpful and gracious, and the rooms were beautiful. When we arrived, we got settled in our room and then Julia (one of the owners), highlighted an evening walking tour on a map of Rome... she served us wine and crostini as we relaxed before our night on the town. Everything during our stay was perfect, and it was quite a bargain for the price, considering 3-star hotels were more expensive and less intimate. The Roman Forum is literally right outside the door of the inn, and the Colloseum, Pantheon, Piazza de Navona, Trevi Fountain, etc. are all within short walking distance. It was certainly a trip to remember!
