Bed and Breakfast Betania - Rome

Georgetta (owner) is very helpful & kind. She gives all information to get a wonderful stay in Rome. The last day we received even an roundtrip in the city by here. The city center is only 15min by bus, but to trafic jams its more often 30min The breakfast is very Italian, this means almost nothing! But there is no heaven on earth:) Ideal to stay in Rome, We'll go / come back!

Prima ontvangste. Hoewel het appartement niet in het centrum ligt, is het redelijk gemakkelijk te bereiken. Het enige is, dat je het de eerste keer moeilijk vindt. Het B&B zit in een flatgebouw (1e verdiepeing) maar dit is echt geen probleem. Verdere aanrader is, om na het centrum van Rome bezichtigd te hebben, naar het appartement te gaan, en aldaar te gaan dineren. Veel goedkoper en beter dan in de binnenstad. Overigens niet ongezellig. De eigenaresse kan je prima restaurants aanwijzen. Zij bracht ons met haar auto naar het centrum toen de bussen op 1 mei niet reden. Helaas spreekt zij slechts Italiaans en Roemeens. Ik spreek een beetje Italiaans, dus konden wij (mijn vrouw en ik) enigszins communiceren. B@B heet niet voor niets Betania: een Bijbelse naam voor huiselijk onderdak. En zo wil de eigenaresse van deze B&B het ook hebben. Minpuntje (het enige) is het ontbijt. Prima koffie, met een croissantje uit een cellofaantje. Kennelijk dit laatste wettelijk voorgeschreven. Ik was hiervoor gewaarschuwd, dus geen probleem. Op weg naar de binnenstad, bij de bushalte haalden wij de schade in. Al met al een aanrader. Tenslotte: zeer goed bereibaar met de trein (lees de website van deze B&B voor de juiste overstapstations). Met de (locale) trein gemakkelijker te bereiken (en te vinden!!) dan via trein (Termini, metro en daarna bus). Met locale stoptrein van of naar het vliegveld totaal binnen het uur. Van het station is het dan nog een 10min lopen (naar beneden, dus de berg af). Johann Grunbauer

Our stay in Rome was absolutely wonderful. The owner of the bed and breakfast (Georgetta) took us out in her own car the night we arrived and showed us where we needed to go to catch the bus, showed us the sights we should check out and generally got us oriented. This made it so much easier for us getting around the next couple of days. She even showed us where and how to take the train back to the airport. I'm sure we would have been much more stressed out and it would have cost us a lot more money if we didn't have such a wonderful host to help us out. The B&B was very nice and very clean and we would highly recommend it and would definitely like to return there one day.

The hostess struggled with the English language, as did we with Italian, which proved difficult however her daughter was fluent in English and a great help when available. The B and B was difficult to find with no signage out front. Also a long bus ride into the main city.Was a good insight into living in Rome, taking local buses etc.

We really enjoyed our stay In Betania.The B&B was very close to all the main city attractions.Everything was clean and quiet.I would really like to give a special thanks to the owner who does everything she can to help you make your way around,give good advices and in case of problem, she's always here to help you.We are very gratefull about that.We warmly recommend you this very good place to stay, if we come back in Rome we'll go to betania for sure !

Giorgetta, the person in charge of this B&B is so kind with the tourist, and always available to help and to give information about the city. Our experience in Betania's B&B was very good. It is well located, calm and well communicated by buses. Everything is quite good, except for the breakfast (poor and simple).

We enjoyed our 7-night stay at the Betania. The proprietor, Georgetta, and her family are wonderful, and her daughter, Irene, is fluent in many languages. They made us feel at home and gave us a quick tour of the Balduina location (markets, newsstands, bus stops, gelaterias). Balduina is readily accessible by many buses which will also take you to the Metro. The B&B is on the 2nd floor of an apartment building. We found our room, a double, to be quite adequate and a reasonable value considering Rome's prices. We shared a bathroom with another guest (no problems). Be prepared for the usual minimal Italian B&B breakfast, i.e., packaged croissant/cookie with strong coffee. However, our host noticed we ate yogurt and also provided us with that, too. When we go back to Rome we'll stay there again.

the lady in charge Giorgetta, she is really kind, and take you the first day, to Rome center and show you how to go around, she is special with the guest, which is what you are looking for. the whole family is very special.
