The hotel room was very small, but exceptionally clean and quiet. (We had a room on the back side of the hotel, away from the street.) We requested 2 beds and were told that would be possible, but received an email just before we arrived saying that we would only have one king size bed. The room was arranged with the bed up on a platform; had to climb up two stairs to get to it. This was a little dangerous for my elderly mother. The breakfasts were wonderful, and Irina, the girl who works there, was really pleasant and helpful.

"The Pantheon" is in an excellent location in a newly renovated apartment; the staff were welcoming; it was perfect for our vacation stay. There are some stairs with no lift but this was no problem for us. my cousin was at the second location marketed on the website called "the Vatican". That location was a nightmare with antagonistic staff who screamed the two sites have recently been sold and will be operated independently and demanded cash payment in advance. Do not go there.

We didn't use a taxi for the 3 days we were there, everything is within walking distance. The breakfast was fabulous, eggs, bacon, croissants, coffee and fruit delivered hot and right on time.

Irina was great. There was a young man in the evening that was not very helpful. The location was perfect-could not have asked for better. We felt very safe in the area and hotel access. The tv/dvd was a little difficult to operate-maybe we were just electronically inept! If you have extremely heavy suitcases-there are stairs to climb so be prepared. Breakfast was outstanding. My only problem was not being able to make coffee as soon as we woke up and having to wait until breakfast. The room was smaller than expected but very comfortable.

In Rome for a wedding. The location was outstanding, the welcome sincere and breakfast superb. Could not fault BestBB. Rooms smaller than anticipated (fish eye lens on camera) but knew ALL rooms in Rome can be small but this one larger than Rome average. Very highly recommended for long weekend away.

Perfect location to explore Rome. Very good service. Excellent room design and decoration, even though rooms could be a bit bigger and walls thicker - once neighbours get too excited / drunk and awake you it can be problem to get back to sleep(happened just once during 4 nights stay).

It is a little hard to find at first, a bit hidden but once you do it was no problem. Really enjoyed that it was a great location in Rome. Alot could be seen in walking distance, or just across the street is a taxi stand. A variety of resturants and shops in close vacinity. Breakfast was very good and plentiful, more choices than your typical european breakfast. We only spent one night here but look forward to staying again in this hotel.

Excellent location, although noisy as on 1st floor and rooms face busy street. Room was great: big and clean; ditto bathroom altho' requires shower curtain over bath. Not much by way of toiletries. Tricky to get hold of staff; woman on mobile phone duty doesn't pick up very often and is surly when she does. Breakfast abundant & delicious; fairly priced honesty mini-bar. Checkout ridiculously early @ 10am but they will store bags. On balance, would stay there again.

Everything is excellent, new and modern. We stayed in room no. 4, a very spacious room with a jacuzzi. The breakfast is really gorgeous, big and freshly made. The Pantheon, one of the most charming buildings of Rome, is around the corner and there is a farmacy, a drugstore, a supermarket and three banks just over the way. The only flaw is the street noise - bring ear plugs!

stayed here in early March 2009 and perfect location in the centre of Rome, a few minutes walk from the beautiful Pantheon......the double glazed doors cut out most of the traffic noise (which can be unbearably loud in Rome) and we were given a remote to control our own air conditioning unit which was very effective. The breakfast was terrific with lots of fruit as well as our choice of eggs and coffee/hot water for tea - and the free WiFi was very handy indeed (and a decent speed), as well as the use of the public computer in the hallway. The welcome was just what we needed to settle us in and then we were left to come and go as we pleased. A nice touch too having the use of a cupboard after we checked out in which to leave our bags. I am very happy with the accomodation and would happily, whole heartedly recommend it to anyone else, maybe more for singles or couples than families with children though as facilities are fairly limited. The apartments are in a wonderful building and felt very safe (but mind the step just before the staircase, at the partition door)- access could be difficult if you have mobility problems though as you HAVE to use the staircase to reach the floor where the apartments are.....a relatively steep climb. Also, the corners of the bed are quite sharp so if you pull the mattress up to the wall, be careful not to knock your leg as you walk around. On our next visit to Rome, a real buzzing and interesting city....we would definately check here first for availability again.

Finding yourself in the heart of Rome and being able to walk everywhere from the Best B&B was absolutely amazing. This was an excellent place to stay. The location is fantastic, the rooms were small but beautiful, and the breakfast was hot and yummy. We really only had two complaints... it was hard to figure out where to put your luggage so it was out of the way and the room itself was kind of hot. From what we could tell we were unable to control the temperature. Neither is that big of a deal so our stay was still great. I would highly recommend this place.

The male hotel staff was very rude, he scolded us when we're not able to check in on time at 10 am as we're not aware that there'll be nobody around after 10 am! This is the first time I've encountered a hotel/B&B which doesn't have staff to assist the customer after 10 am and has the cheek to scold customer! I'll DEFINITELY not stay there again and will not recommend anyone to stay there. But one good thing about the B&B is the lady staff preparing the breakfast, she was friendly & breakfast was good.

This place was excellent for our stay in Rome. *Location* is fantastic ~ 5-10 minute walk to Pantheon, Piazza Venezia, Piazza Navona, etc. (~ 15 minute walk to Colosseum, Roman Forum...). *Breakfast* was great - delivered promptly to our room each day. Very friendly service. Included cereals, your choice of coffee drink, meats, eggs, toasts/croissants, dried fruit, etc. Room was *very clean*. Bathroom was small but this is typical of Italy. Towels were supplied daily and were clean. Room was cleaned daily. *Street noise* was significant but only when patio-doors were open. No noise problems from other rooms. I am a light sleeper and had earplugs (I always sleep with them) - my wife and I had no trouble sleeping. We used the *car-pickup service* from the airport, which was convenient but would have been cheaper by cab. That said, we were met by someone from the B&B as soon as we were dropped off at the door by our driver (i.e. this was well coordinated). My wife wanted to mention that we got *free disposable slippers* given to us, which we used for the rest of our stay in Italy. *Wireless internet* worked well and was included in the price. Very convenient. The *air-con* worked well for us. The suites are on the floor above-ground. You will need to *carry your bags* up a flight of stairs. In general, we did not experience any of the negative comments that others mentioned in some of the comments. I would happily stay at Best B&B Pantheon again.

Excellent accomodation. What you see in the photographs of the B + B Best panthenon website is exactly what you get. It is very modern and clean. The breakfast in the morning delivered to your room is enormous and the variety and qulaity of food is great. Free internet was and added bonus. Central location was ideal. We had some misgivings when we arrived outside the main street access on what was our first trip to Rome. However the exterior of the main building belies the wonderful accomodation on the first floor (B + B Best Panthenon has four rooms on the first floor). Excellent value for money

this hotel is in excellent locale and is very modern and efficient...no interaction with other guests occurs as you are served breakfast in your room...facility is only 4 rooms and has one narrow hallway connecting them..locks and access are all electronic...if you want interaction stay away...but: you are two blocks from Pantheon, close to Plaza Navona and Campo di Fiori, can walk easily to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain and tons of restaurants and shops...one mile to Colisseum (an easy walk)...negative: hotel is a tenant in a large building and access is only if someone is there to meet you and they were not there so we had to call them even though we had emailed them twice we were coming and were there at time indicated....and entry is up several stairs so you need to carry luggage...great locale to do anything and go anywhere and double paned windows worked well as it fronts a busy street but that gives you access wherever you need...do not miss Il Fornaio on side street as it is best bakery and deli ever encountered

The room itself was really clean with new furniture. The bathroom is also clean with the exception of some of the tiles in the shower. The two negative things that we came across were: breakfast is only served between 8 and 9:30 am .... sometimes they will push it to 10am and the second thing is that you have to be out of your room by about 1030 am if you want it to be cleaned for that day. The service is okay... we had asked the housekeeper to confirm a taxi for us the day before we were leaving... however, it never showed up... so we were late getting to the airport for our flight. It always seemed like the housekeeper was in a rush. I must admit that this was our first time staying in a bed and breakfast, so maybe we are accustomed to hotel service.

A great location ... almost everything we wanted to see was in walking distance. We took a cab to the Vatican, but we could have easily walked. It was just really hot that day. Had a wonderful 4 night stay at the Best Pantheon in June of 2008. The B&B was situated in a fantastic location, within minutes of the Pantheon. The breakfast offered was one of the best we experienced whilst in Italy, with fresh produce and excellent coffee served daily. I'd recommend that by catching the train to Termini and then transfer on one of the buses to Largo Argentina stop would be the easiest way of arriving. The B&B is hidden away behind a big set of wooden double doors, so keep a careful eye out for it when you arrive. Some people have complained of the noise, but I thought that the double glazed windows kept the room very quiet at night. Free internet was a nice extra too.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone, unless you are looking for a quiet place. There is street noise, but we were able to sleep. Free internet access and fantastic breakfast is a plus.

Ditto to all the great reviews you will read about this hotel. Only one word of caution though. I had used one of the bathroom towels to wipe up a food spill. Since it was now too dirty to be used as a hand towel, I left it on the bathroom floor the next morning (to indicate the towel should be changed out). Later that evening, we returned to our room to find the housekeeper had hanged it up on the towel rack as though it were a fresh towel. Out of curiosity I repeated this the next morning, this time folding the towel so that the food stain was clearly noticeable. She hung it back up again! So don't assume your towels were changed each morning - you'll have to specifically ask for it.

Sadly, I cannot recommend this beb & breakfast for the simple reason that they lose power frequently. On three occasions our room was without power and this can be very inconvenient when it is dark outside and you are trying to get ready to leave for the day. On two of the instances there definitely was power in the building but our unit was without power. Our breakfast was delayed, our A/C did not work for a whole night, which was very uncomfortable, and we had to shower and dress in the dark one morning. Through this entire expereince we could not get anyone to respond to our emails or phone calls. No one came to fix the problems or compensate us for this poor service.

My husband and I stayed for 7 nights at the B&B Best and loved our stay. The B&B is in an ideal location for walking to major tourist attractions. (It took us 25 min. to walk to the Forum, 10 min to get to the Pantheon and 10 min to the Wedding Cake.) It is also very close to a bus and train stop and there is a small grocery store right across the street. The room has a mini bar, with very reasonably priced items. Breakfast was a feast that we looked forward to each day - I especially loved the fresh squeezed orange juice and perfect croissants. Sharon was the person on site for the first half of each day. She was very pleasant and helpful. We had a room facing the road, but did not find it noisy. My only advice would be to not forget your room keys (as we did!) since the B&B is not staffed 24/7. Luckily another guest came in just as we realized we didn't have our keys. The B&B is located up two short flights of stairs without elevator access, which might be problematic if you have heavy luggage.

Would you wish to have a quiet room, it is better to specifically ask for the room in the courtyard as there is only one which is very nice and very quiet.

We highly recommend this B&B. The formula was convenient for us. It is located in the centre of the historic city and all sites are accesssible by walking. The only caveat is that it is located on one of the most busiest streets in Rome Via Emmanuelle ll and therefore it is very noisy but it does calm down a bit during the night.Even with this we would recommend the place, just aslk for a room not on the street, there is only one. If you want quieter the B&B Vatican is also a very good place close to Vatican and metro and quieter.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the room was both clean and quiet and the breakfast was fab! far too much for us to manage! Bathroom was also really nice and towels were changed daily. We found the maid, not sure of her name, welcoming, friendly and helpful. The internet access was very convenient, it's not actually in the room but just outside. We arranged with the owner for a transfer from the airport, this was most convenient - I don't think we would have found the B & B ourselves as it is not obvious from the outside of the building where it is. On the journey back, we walked down to the taxi rank (about 3 minute walk) and picked one up straight away. The big TV was great although there were not many english channels, not that we had much time to watch it! There are a small number of DVD's to borrow as well if you get the time, we were usually fast asleep by 10pm! Our flight home was in the evening, we were allowed to leave our cases in a locked area so we did not have to carry them around with us all day - we were provided with a key. The B & B itself was extremely well placed for all the main sites, about 10 minute walk to the pantheon. Loads of restaurants, pubs etc on the doorstep, would recommend the Scholars Lounge Irish Pub - the food was great and they televise all the major sporting events. Would definitely recommend this B & B, hope to return with our children at some point in the future.

Great location near Largo Argentina and wonderful rooms. Very modern and extremely clean. Sharon, the person who signed us in and did breakfast makes some of the best cappuccino in Rome. Breakfast was wonderful each day. It isn't served until 0800 at the earliest, so if you want to get a really early start, this may not work for you. The only problem was not with th B&B. The building is very old and the stairs are a bit treacherous. Lighting in the stairwell is dim and stairs are grey veined marble which are not all standard. Husband fell twice on stairs with no ill effect, but I fell on last day and twisted my ankle. Made for difficult touring for a while. The B&B itself is wonderful. The phone number given for problems worked great. Couldn't find the hair dryer -turned out it is in the little basket on the sink. The location of the satellite TV box made it a bit difficult to use. There was no news channel in English. Got a little depressing hearing about the fall of the dollar vs euro and stockmarket when getting ready for the day.

Best Pantheon is a set in a nice old building on one of the main city centre roads in Rome. Therein lies both the positive and negative of a stay here. Its position offers great access to the city with Piazza Navona, The Pantheon and Campo Di Fiori all within 5 minutes walk. Other attractions around the historic centre are also easily walkable. On the downside the road traffic noise is considerable even with the double glazed windows. The noise issue when added to the limited space in the room probably makes Best Pantheon a bit pricey. There are other properties where you can get more space and less noise for less money. On the plus side the rooms are well decorated and the 42in plasma with surround sound would be lovely if you could hear it above the road noise. Our contact at the rooms looked after us very well with excellent breakfasts and timely room cleaning and we did enjoy a bit of a slice of Roman life dropping in and out of the rooms as if it was our own apartment. All things said and done I would not stay here again and would look to the quieter areas around Campo Di Fiori and Spanish Steps where the traffic is not allowed.

We loved the Best B&B Pantheon. The location was perfect, the room was clean, and the breakfast was very nice. It was a bit noisy when people would try to open the front door at night as there are no rugs in the hallway to absorb sound. We would stay here again for sure.

We stayed in a standard room overlooking the street which suffered from traffic noise at night. It was the first time we stayed here and would absolutely use this B&B again.

We had a great stay one week stay at the Best (Pantheon). We had 3 of the 4 rooms to house our family. The location is ideal for touring the city. Quality breakfast, and very clean rooms. Although located on a busy street we had no noise problems (a major issue in Rome). We would gladly stay there again.

This was a great B&B our reception was fantastic although a little late (we waited about 20 minutes to get in) however Julia was very welcoming and gave us heaps of good info. The rooms were great and the breakfasts were amazing...everyday brought to your room right on time and layed out in front of you on a trolley. The internet facility was excellent and they had books available on Rome. The location was SO, SO central to EVERYTHING and there was even a supermarket directly across the road. We loved our stay there and would definately recommend it and go back ourselves.

Absolutely terrific little bed and breakfast! Each morning I looked forward to having our yummy breakfast wheeled in to our room. The free computer and internet access was a huge bonus. For those travelers wishing to stay in the heart of historic Rome, this is the place for you! (One caveat: not easily accessible for physically disabled persons requiring an elevator.)

I've travelled throughout Italy over the last 15 years and nothing compares to the Best - both the Vatican and Pantheon properties are outstanding. Rodolfo met us warmly and graciously and oriented us to the b&b. Unbeatable breakfast - brought to your room at the time you specify. There is no elevator so that might be a problem for people with any disabilities. (Rodolfo carried up my suitcase.)

Having never stayed in a B&B before I was unprepared for the fact that there are no staff at the hotel and we were fortunate that a young lady from the USA heard our frantic ringing of the doorbel and opened the door for us. We then called the owner who took over an hour at arrive to let us into our room. This is a tiny venue with only 4 rooms and no lift so be prepared to haul your luggage up the 3 flights of stairs to get to the entrance. The saving grace was the sensational decor and the absolutely fantastic breakfast which is delivered to the room each morning.

I have been to Rome several times - staying in 2-5 stars. This is my first stay at a Rome BB. I hope it will not be my last. It was wonderful. As others wrote, the stairs are a slight problem (I am disabled – knee doesn’t bend/should problem) – thankfully my beau carried the bags. There are handrails if you need to hold on. The noise didn’t bother either of us, but I like the noise of Rome. With the window closed, you can hardly hear anything. My friends stayed at the Grande Hotel Minerva and yes, a beautiful hotel, with concierge, etc., but this is exactly what I wanted at a price I could afford (barring the exchange rate). We were less than 5 minutes walking between the two. In fact, for what we did – our location was even better. 15 min walk to Trastevere region (great restaurants, recommend, great prices – Scarpaccio Pensari (? is my favorite), 20 min (for me – 30 min) walk to Vatican/Basilica, 6 min walk to Pantheon, 10 min to Trevi Fountain, etc. All very close by. I wouldn’t walk to Coliseum but my mom & grandma did from comparable location 2 years ago. There is a grocery store across the street, a mini-fridge in the room. The items left for us to use were fair-priced, & on the honor system. The BB had charm and class and a lot of modern amenities – including remote AC control, huge plasma TV, etc. And, the towels were fine – no waffle towels as mentioned previously. (I ate at the café across the street the previous visit to Rome, so didn’t want to go back – wasn’t great for me). If you go out the front door – go right for about 2-3 blocks. You’ll see a church on your left after a hotel named Titus or something. There is a restaurant/café just past the church on the left side of Corso Emmanuel Vittorio – Rico something (?) but only one – eat there – great portions, great food. But, go a little further on your left – see a gelato stand sign – eat there. Really good – especially banana, mango and lemon. Yum, wrot

Best Pantheon was a fantastic property. It was beautiful and clean and very centrally located within walking distance to all of the many historical sites. The breakfast every morning was delicious and consisted of scrambled eggs, italian bacon, assorted rolls, cereal and yogurt and fantastic espresso, capuccino and biscotti! All told it was truly a great value for the cost. The only thing lacking is that the elevator in the building does not stop on the floor of the Best Pantheon units and it was hard getting our lugguge up the two flights of stairs. Take that into consideration and pack light as it is still worth it to stay there.

Best B&B Pantheon was everything we hoped it would be and more. While we expected the breakfast to be substantial (based on reviews we read) we were nonetheless impressed with the size, quality and variety. Certainly the best breakfast of anywhere we stayed, including much more expensive hotels in Sienna, etc. The location was even better than I had expected. It was an easy 10 min. walk to Piazza Navona, minutes to Pantheon, 15 min. to Trevi, and 10 min. to the Forum. It just couldn't have been better. The girl who brings breakfast and checked us in was very nice, although her English is quite limited. It helped that I spoke some Italian. Not to worry, Carlo in the office speaks impeccable English and is only a phone call away. Carlo was absolutely the nicest guy and was so helpful, patient and honest. Best B&B also has a computer in the common area which I was able to use to make Skype calls to back home. Many places have wireless access (so does Best B&B) but many leisure travelers don't want to take a laptop, so having a computer available to email, etc. was a great touch. All in all, Best B&B Pantheon was a pleasure. We also stayed at their Vatican location, though it is not quite an nice as Pantheon. I have already recommended Best B&B to others and will definitely stay there again.

This place is fabulous. Clean, modern, spacious, excellent breakfast, great location - we could walk to all the major sights. My only comment would be, if you like absolute quiet when you sleep, then ask for a room off the road. The double glazed windows cut out a lot of the noise, however there is a small amount - to be expected on a main street in Rome though. My summary is - this place is fantastic.

The Best B&B has a great location, was clean, modern, and the room service (breakfast, room cleaning) was excellent. There were however a few downfalls: 1. Greeting/check-in: we had made an appointment to check-in at noon. On the day of check-in, there was a taxi strike and we tried to contact the Best B&B using the phone number on our reservation confirmation email. The phone number was no longer valid. We finally got help from a previous hotel we were staying in to track down a valid phone number to reach the Best and coordinate a new check-in time due to the strike. While staying at the Best, several times, we answered the doorbell when other guests were trying to get in and also could not reach the Best due to the phone number confusion. We were able to give the other guests updated phone information - but this burden should not lie with guests like us. I think the Best needs to do a better job making sure guests have proper phone number information to reach the management team especially because the managmement is rarely on site. 2. Our bed was on a metal platform with VERY sharp corners that are dangerous. My husband cut his leg on one of the corners. This was in room 3. I think the bed needs to be evaluated and perhaps some kind of padding be placed over these very sharp corners of the bed platform. 3. The street noise in our room was really bad. We finally noticed after a few nights that the door to the balcony did not fully seal properly which made the street noise worse. We were able to push a suitcase against the door and improve the seal/reduce the noise. But this should also be addressed. With a few small changes to the bed, the door seal, and better communication about contact information for check-in coordination, the Best could be first class. The location is great and it is a nice, modern propery.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Best Pantheon. The rooms were excellent as are the apartment style facilities provided. It suited us exactly. The location to Rome's attractions is exceptional and all are within easy walking distance. Staff are friendly and efficient. Breakfast provided is worth getting out of bed for. If there is any drawback at all (and any are hard to find), it is the traffic noise from the rather busy road the apartment sits on. It is noisy but internal noise from adjoining apartments is excellent.Maybe another room not facing the main street would be quieter.

B&B Pantheon is a fairly good value for the price. It is cheaper than many hotels in the area. Our room was very quiet and the breakfast was very good. It was delivered to our room every morning at the time we asked. My only two complaints were it was hard to find and was not as clean as the other hotels we stayed in. Even though the room was very nice the shower was dirty. Overall, it was a nice b&b that is within walking distance of many of the historial sights in Rome and close to a major bus stop.

We stayed two nights from Sep 24 to Sep 26. The location is excellent as it is easy to either walk around (Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Capitoline Hill, Colosseo, etc)or take a bus. The area is safe, and the rooms are extremely clean. The Room#1 which we stayed the first night is a bit small, but as expected, but we got moved into Room#4 the 2nd night which is the spacious suite that my husband and I simply loved! We showed the photos to our friends and all were impressed. Would certainly recommend this to anyone.
