BB Corso 22 is in a great location, it's on one of the many shopping streets in Rome but is located on the pedestrian zone end of Via del Corso, this makes for a nice quiet street at night and during the day as it's mostly people walking up and down. The only regular motorised traffic are the electric mini buses 117 & 119 that begin at the end of Corso a minutes walk from 22 Corso. Bus 117 will bring you to the Colosseum and 119 will bring you to Via de Torre Argentina which is the beginning of tram route 8 which goes to Trastevere, 3 stops. We stayed in the apartment, which would be small to live in but is perfect for a holiday, it was nice to come back there everyday and the air con works very well and very quietly. In fact we didn't need to use it a lot because the room was always much cooler than outside. Lizzy is very helpful, ask her anything. We really enjoyed our stay in Corso 22.

Absolutely central location, at the same time quiet garden take you opportunity to relax. Our TWIN room was quite small, but clean and looked nice. Central aircondition worked automaticly every 30 minutes, for me it wasn't enough, we kept our window opend (using ear plugs at night). Breakfast was OK, we prepared good natural cafe. Staff (Lissy) was very very helpfull and spoke russian.

First time in Rome, first time at BB Corso 22. Very nice place, comfortable, hot water, good breakfast (though basic). Very centrally located and very close to Metro at Piaza Popolo. Only downside, walls are not good at keeping sound out from room next door (we stayed in the room next to the office/dining area).

Great location:in the center of all the sites, shopping & transportation. The 1st night we got the tiny blue room /with bathroom in the hallway, not convenience for us. Very noisy, you can hear people talking on the street, loud music/band. Changed to the red room with bath (inside our room)for the 2nd & 3rd nights, less street noise but with constructions going on all day long.

Bed was terribly uncomfortable. The bathroom had not been cleaned from the previous guest so I had to clean it, because the owner would not return calls once we had paid. And no tv!

This is the second Use. If there is not a resident care what the owners need you to come to the phone. B & B Still, given the high cost of hotels in Rome, this price is exceptional in the best location.

We really enjoyed our stay at the BBCorso22. The room was very clean, cool (aircondition) and very nicely decorated. The location is good although not in the "nightlife center" - but that makes it comfortably quiet at night. if you walk down Via del corso, it takes you about 15-20 minutes to Pantheon & Piazza Navona. breakfast is good for italian standards (yoguhrt, cornflakes, tea, fruit juice, toast & sweet stuff as much as you want to have - but you will miss cheese, ham, fruit, real coffee or fresh bread). it pays to take the bigger room with a window & a clean private bathroom.Angelo (the owner) is very helpful & friendly & speaks good English

We stayed two nights on November. Excellent room and cosy, clean b&b overall. Angelo very nice and helpful. Surroundings do not offer that many nice restaurants as, say, Trastevere or Navona. Corso avenue is good for shopping. It's surpringly quiet late autumn and we slept soundly.

Angelo, the proprietor, is a really nice guy, speaks good English. Not around during the day but can be reached by phone. The double room with extra bed and its own bath is a much better deal than the twin room. Lots of street noise during the day but quiet enough to sleep at night. Convenient location for a day or 2 of sightseeing on foot.

The hotels in Rome are very expensive so I found that the relationship between price and quality was not so good. But our room was quiet (except for the first night where our neighbours were loud), very clean (cleaning lady comes every day) and the location is very good. Breakfast could be improved but was ok. The breakfast room is nice. Our bathroom was on the floor (I was afraid of that) but it wasn't a problem at all at the end.

The B&B is newly renovated and very nice furnished. The location is just perfect, just a view minutes walk from the spagna and all ancient sites in the centre. Also the next tube station ist just a couple of minutes away. Angelo, the B&B keeper, is very friendly and caring. Breakfast is perfectly fine, especially for Italy. The breakfast room is very nice, too. Remarkable for mild summer nights: the terrace. For a quick coffee or sandwich go for autogrill five minutes down the corso. Dinner is recommendable at Gusto or Osteria della Frezza, Via della Frezza 16. Ice cream at Giolitti, Via Uffici del Vicario 37 and espresso at Tazza d'Oro, Via degli Orfani 84, all within walking distance. Enjoy your trip, we did!!!

BB Corso 22 was fabulous!! Paulo was so welcoming and an absolute delight. The rooms were great although there was no soap or amenities in the room. Perhaps they should incorporate this. We would definately return for the locality of the B&B.

Although a walk from the train station, the location is fine. Rome is a big city. Via Corso is a noisy street. We had the triple room which was clean and spacious. We had the place to ourselves. Breakfast is self-serve, and there are only 2-3 breakfast tables. The outdoor roof garden is a nice view. Sergio was very nice and even understood my Italian.

The welcoming was fantastic. (once we found it) The only problem we had finding the B7B was that it was Sunday the road is closed for shopping, so the cab dropped us about 300 mtrs away and we had to drag our luggage amonst 100's of shoppers! Brilliant position. 5 mins from Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps and in the heart of the shopping district. The only downside was the size of our room. I was tiny once we got our 2 suitcases in there. I think the other 2 rooms are bigger and have internal ensuites as ours was in the hallway. Ours was the twin room. The service by the owners was exceptional and we were made to feel very welcome! The kitchen was great, modern and very clean. We stayed for 3 nights and for 100 Euro's a night in Rome this is well worth it!

My 15j. daughter and me spent 3 nights at this great place in Oct. 08. Paola gave us the biggest room with a frech window to via del Corso. We liked the room incl. breakfastroom with terrasse a lot and Paola was very nice and helpful as we could move in in the morning and leave late afternoon. It is perfectly located for culture, shops and restaurants. We highliy recommend it!

We had a fabulous stay here. The location was amazing and Sergio, or host, was perfect...always happy, smiling, and happy to help (his English is limited, but he tries really hard!). Our room (twin beds) was small, but it worked well anyway...you really aren't in your room for much more than just sleeping. We had french doors leading to a tiny balcony where you could look at and watch the people streaming down the street. The bath is modern, but the shower is small. The other double looking out onto via del corso was large...not sure about the bath. If you are a large person, this probably won't work for you. Breakfast was very basic but he served a mean cup of espresso! Easy to get to and in a great location for moving about the city.

Sergio is very friendly but he was late getting there to let us in...even tho we had emailed him. But the worst was our room. We asked for a room with private bathroom ...the private bathroom for our room was in the hallway so not complete privacy. The room was extremely disappointing...it is a converted hallway...the end of the hall is now a room and walled off by a three-quarter high wall and then plexiglass for the top quarter...so no privacy as you hear everything from the public area and they hear you. There are two small beds and a closet and a TV. The other two rooms appear much more spacious and have their own private ensuite bathrooms and they cost the same. If I had known I was going to be in this "room", I would have wanted a cheaper rate. Breakfast is minimal and Sergio comes in at 09h00 so don't plan on getting out early if you want to take advantage of the snack he provides.

We stayed at Corso 22 before starting a tour and found the location superb. It was really only a walk to all major sights, and there were plenty of shops, cafes etc around. The rooms were very comfortable and we loved the breakfast room and terrace. We bought dinner out and came back to eat it on the terrace. Paola was very welcoming and helpful. The only problem we had was that our shower didn't work very well, really just a trickle of water. Apart from that everything was great and I would recommend this B & B to my friends.

What a fabulous place to stay! We loved our time at BB Corso. We booked at the last minute and we were very impressed with both the location and the accommodations. The web site pictures do not accurately describe how nice this BB is. Our room was large, had 2 beds and was very well appointed. Nice bathrooms too. Breakfast is included and the BB has a lovely outdoor deck. We plan to stay at BB Corso on our next visit to rome and would recommend the BB to our friends. Great value for the money. Perfect for singles, young couples, hipsters and professionals and the young at heart. Thanks for the memories Sergio!

This is an excellent B&B in the middle of everything. I was in Rome for 4 days, and not once did I take any form of public transportation to any of the sites we visited. Everything is within walking distance, even Vatican is less then 30 min. away (by foot). You don't even realize that you have been walking for half hour because there are many shops and stores along the way to keep you occupied. In all, this is an excellent location. As for the accommodations, I got exactly what i asked for- a room with two beds and a bathroom inside the room. However, I didn't even think of asking for a room with a window, thought it was a given, but yeah you guessed it- my room did not come with any windows (I stayed in the red room). This is not a huge deal unless you are claustrophobic (in which case i would also strongly advise AGAINST climbing to the top of the dome of St. Peter's)or plan on spending your days in the room. The service was excellent- my room was nicely decorated, and very clean. So was the bathroom and the common areas. Sergio, our host was very nice, friendly and helpful with his tips as to where to eat, how to get around etc. The only thing I was not too happy about was the breakfast. As other reviewers mentioned, the breakfast was VERY light and consisted of toast and crackers, butter and marmalade or honey, espresso and cereal. And yeah, fruit yogurt. If you will be running around all day, visiting sites, there is no way that this breakfast will hold you until launch which means that you will need to spend extra $$$. This, I believe is not fair, being that this is a bed and BREAKFAST. Sergio, if you are readying this, please do something about breakfast. Even just adding fresh bread and some cheese, eggs or ham would greatly improve the situation and i am sure, your reviews. In conclusion,I was very happy and satisfied with my stay at this B&B and if Sergio fixes the breakfast issue, I would definitely not only go there again, but would also recommend it

My friend and I had a particularly unpleasant experience. The ceiling of our room leaked in the middle of the night (the owner doesn't live in the B&B - and wasn't picking up his phone either). We ended up sleeping in the kitchen on our mattresses as our beds were completely wet! Needless to say that we were expecting not to have to pay for first night when it came to checking out (or at least only half the price). The owner was completely unreasonable (despite being a friendly guy) and was only looking at making money. After a lot of haggling he agreed to give us 20 euros off the cost of the 1st night! The location is the only positive thing I would have to say. I would NOT recommend this B&B - I think the owner's behavior was completely unacceptable.

The accommodation was very impressive. Right in the centre of things within easy reach of all the well known sights. Very clean apartment in a very secure building. We stayed in the red room with the en-suite bathroom. The furniture & furnishings were very clean, up-to-date and colour co-ordinated. One very tiny gripe - it states Bed & Breakfast but, though the table was laid beautifully, the breakfast consisted of a hot drink and a crispbread with butter and/or plain biscuit (which, there was no limit to the amount you could have). Seeing as we were spoilt for choice with places to eat (a creperie just across the road)a very reasonable cafe a few yards away, and many more, it didn't matter too much. But I cannot be honest in saying that breakfast was included, more like tea & coffee facilites available. But like I said a tiny gripe. The owner was very pleasant and amiable and made us feel very welcome. We stayed for two nights, which really wasn't long enough. Packed in quite alot in such a short time but, it helped being situated in such a good location. I would certainly recommend Corso 22, rather than staying in a hotel,it's the ideal place if you are doing loads of sightseeing and need a good, clean, value for money base.

Excellent, very clean. Disappointed when we first arrived as we had the smallest room and our bathroom was in the hall, but this did not cause any problems. Cleanliness and helpfulness of Sergio made up for this. Our room overlooked the street but was quiet as it had been pedestriansed and open to access only traffic. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location, the area is central, close to the spanish steps, and very nice, but not too touristy like the area around the Colosseum. The rooms are nice, clean and quiet, but at least 2 out of the 3 rooms have twin beds and not double beds. The staff is nice, helpful and welcoming, but make sure the know what time you're arriving. We thought they did since you have to put it in when you book the room, but when we arrived we had too call them twice and wait outside for over an hour (in the rain). Maybe we should have e-mailed them or called them before we left? We had an overall very positive experiece and can recommend this B&B.

In a word, the best thing I can say about BB Corso 22 is "SERGIO!!". He was our gracious host and went out of his way to be helpful, welcoming, and attentive to our every request. He was very patient in his English (which, contrary to his protestations was excellent)and stayed late on the night we arrived to greet us. The room itself far exceeded our hopes - quiet despite being right above Via Corso, with thermal pane glass and A/C, roomy, satellite TV, and recently renovated. The location was the main draw for us initially and it is fabulous, right off Pizza Popolo and close to the Metro - what a surprise to find the B&B was every bit its equal! Recommended without hesitation!

Probably it should be indicated that rooms for similar quantity of people have different "class". I mean, both of the rooms we stayed in were worth for the money we paid, but one room was significally bigger and better. Also should be noted that bathroom for one of the rooms is outside the room in the common area.

The location is excellent, but the rooms are small. The person who takes care of is very above, but she does not solve situations. On the other hand, we had reserved to a “double room” with the bath inside and when arriving, they adjudged one to us “tween” with outer bath. They reduced the price to us, but it is not, anyway what we wanted, and when you arrive without another alternative, you are prisoner of which they force to you to accept if you do not want to lose a whole day looking for or to sleep in the street. I do not recommend it, safe by the excellent location.

HOW TO GET TO CORSO22

> From Fiumicino Airport (FCO)

in our opinion the best way to get to Via del Corso is to get the train "Leonardo Express" from Fiumicino airport to Roma Termini (the main railway station) and then the underground "A" and stop to FLAMINIO. From the undergound stop you are 200mt from the bed and breakfast. Walk to Piazza del Popolo, cross the square and take Via del Corso until number 22 (100 mt on the left side of the street).
