The staff was completely incompetent. We were lucky that someone was there to check us in, but that was really the last we saw of them besides breakfast (which was an add assortment of packaged food). There was no one there when we checked out and we were forced to leave the keys in the room. The buzzer and phone were constantly ringing with people trying to check in, but there was no staff present there to do so. They did not speak english well and we were not given clean towels our whole stay.

Great breakfast, nice area and palazzo the hotel is situated in. We were given an attic room with a nice view from the roof top. But the water temperature in the shower kept changing all the way. Also the receptionist told us there was no way to get to the center by bus. True. One can go by tram and bus. Perhaps, he just was reluctant to explain.

Logement très calme et confortable à quelques mètres de la sation de métro. Très bon rapport qualité-prix, mais pas d'ordinateur dans les chambres comme le laisse entendre la description.

The hotel was a good place to rest while touring Rome, right around the corner from the Policlinico metro station. Pretty quiet building, only had to wait for elevator once but just walked down (walk up to 4 would be a lot tougher). Clean rooms, fully functional beds and bathroom. Our Triple had tiny beds but there was enough space/chairs for us to spread out and not be on top of each other. Also: 'extra' toilet just down the hall. Never found shops nearby to buy food/bev at night (used Grocery store at Termini staion. No ice (it was hot in Rome) but the little refridgerator worked. Internet worked after second night.

This B&B has several major drawbacks. The plumbing makes enough noise to wake the dead, the central heating was not operational and the room air conditioner barely adequate, the breakfast was at best minimal, (no fruit, powdered fruit juice etc)and there is a lack of places to eat in the area.

Excellent location near the Met.Ro . Accessible also by various buses and trams. Room poorly insulated from noise from other rooms and from watering system.

Nice enough place but a bit detached from the center of things. Having said that, it's only 2 stops on the metro to the main train station. Strange noises from the plumbing, but quieter than I thought it would be. Hotel is on 4th floor of the building but there is a small elevator. Andrew (who seemed to be the only employee) was very helpful and pleasant.

Lovely accommodation; it was as shown on the webpage. The welcome, service and accommodation was well worth it; we immediately booked an additional 3 days!! Personnel are so friendly and helpful. I would recommend it anytime. The map was slightly incorrect - Astoria is around the corner from Policlinico Metro, buses and the tram service; if we had known that we wouldn'nt have walked from Termini.

The manager (lady) at the desk was very rude and very loud - we could hear her early in the morning shouting on the phone. The location is not that goo except that it close to the Metro station. However, the trains stopped running at 9pm and it was very inconvenient to get back from the historic areas. The bathroom smelled bad; the tiles were coming off in the shower. The TV didn't work half the time. Even though it is a bed and breakfast, the breakfast was worse at the Astoria than at the other two places we stayed in Italy. We're used to bed and breakfasts having good breakfast - but these guys must have gotten breakfast from the local grocery story - confectionary packaged in plastic. The staff weren't even able to tell us about pulbic transport stops / schedules.

This was our first experience in a bed and breakfast and we felt it was wonderful. We felt we received more personalized service than we would of in a typical hotel. The computer in our room was not working the day we arrived but the staff was diligent in rectifying that the next day. The breakfast was a typical Roman breakfast, if a bit spartan, caffe, croissants and melba toast with various jams and spreads. The location was convenient enough via the subway and quieter than other parts of town, however, it did make it more challenging to find evening meals and we had to venture a bit afield to dine. We would stay here again if we decide to return to Rome as it is a great value.

Wow! What an fabulous place to stay! This was perhaps the best place we stayed while in Italy. The location was perfect--just a half a block from the subway--and it was absolutely gorgeous...the common areas, especially the deck, were stunning--flowers everywhere, beautiful views of the city from the rooftop, and lovely rooms. Speaking of which, a booking error meant that we were upgraded to what can only be described as the "Austin Powers suite"...A round, pink, rotating bed with a pop-up TV, a private entrance to the deck, and a stocked mini-bar...what an experience! We went to our regular room the next night, and while not as extravagent as the honeymoon suite, it was nice and cozy. The only disappointment was the breakfast...packaged breads and cheeses, for the most part. I'd recommend going to a local cafe for a nice cappucino and croissant. Other than that, this was definitely the place to stay!
