The Arches is a delight. It is very clean, warm and inviting to come back to after a long day of siteseeing. The room was large as was the bathroom. We enjoyed our terrace, drinking a glass of wine and watching the street below. The kitchen was well stocked and we were told to bring in any food or snacks we may like. There was a full size refrigerator and a stove if anyone wanted to cook. I found it quiet even though there were others in the other rooms. The location is excellent, a 10 minute walk to the Vatican and the bus line and Metro were about 3 minutes away. Paulo was wonderful, kind and patient with two people who had never been to Italy. He was even there when we left to make sure our taxi to the airport showed up. I would go back there in a minute! Thank you Paulo for your wonderful B&B.

My husband and teenager daughter stayed at Arches for four night and really enjoyed our stay. This is the first time we have stayed in a B&B. The facility is clean and really quiet. The B&B surroundings are safe and its close to everything including the metro. Paolo was a great host and made us feel welcome and even arranged for us to be picked up from the Airport. We will stay at this facility again for sure. We highly recommend this B&B.

I really enjoyed my stay at Arches. The location was really great as it was very very close to the metro and also had easy walking access to Vatican City. It also has a Carrefour next door which was very convenient for buying small food items. The B&B was well organized w/ a shared refrigerator and cabinet so that I could store groceries purchased. The breakfast was prepackaged, as described on the website, so it was not special, but it was simple and good. The espresso machine was great for morning coffee. Paulo was a great host and met me at Arches even after my train was delayed and it was late. I really was happy with my stay and highly recommend it.

What a wonderful Bed & Breakfast ! The location could not have been any better .... 10 minutes walking from the Vatican area, with a great cafe/lunchroom a few doors down (great capuccino's with all kinds of sweets and a lunch menu), a supermarket close by, delicious gelato icecream across the street, and a wonderful restaurant just around the corner ! Our room (the smallest of the 3) was very large, simply and tastefully decorated, with a beautiful bathroom. The kitchen is well equiped and each guest has his/her own shelf in the fridge and a small cabinet with breakfast items (crackers, bread etc). Paolo, Fabio and Massimo go out of their way to make sure their guests are well taken care of .... they are very friendly, helpful and give some good ideas/tips for things to be found in the neighborhood ! Their English is perfect and they are just great ! We also met Giovanni, the doorman ..... he is also very kind ! Whenever we will visit Rome again, we will make sure to make early reservations in The Arches, because that's just the place to be !!!!

Our 2-day stay at Arches was exactly as we had imagined - super! Great location for northwest Rome, walk to affordable restaurants, cafes, and markets. Not a hotel, but an apartment with shared kitchen and lobby with Internet connected PC. Walk to Vatican, and close enough to walk to major sites in other parts of Rome. Our guide, recommended by Fabio and Paolo, was excellent. A great place!

The bathroom in our BB apartment needs renovation. The bath-tub is not user friendly and the floor get wet after a bath. The air-con in the room is not adequate for a hot summer.

We would prefer a breakfast without parish food but one with fresh bread, butter, cheese. The rest was good.

Great hotel - I would stay again in a heartbeat. The only problem was the labeling of the building - it was difficult to see where the building was at first. Other than that - best b and b I have stayed in.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the arches. The service was dedicated and friendly, and the rooms were large, clean and nicely decorated. The staff were as helpful as possible with all of our questions. It was great for our early morning trip to the vatican as the vatican museums are a 5 minute walk. It was a little away from the centre of Rome but the metro station was very close so it was simple to get there. I would definitely recommend it!

I often come to Rome and I've experienced nearly every available accommodation and then I get to Arches..., the room I stayed in was huge for the two of us and extremely comfortable with a big private bathroom and a nice veranda. The appartment is really well located and couldn't really be better. I strongly recommend it to every one.

Great Location just far enough from tourist bustle, but not too far that you cannot walk easily to Vatican, lots of shopping and Metro.

Arches is an excellent B&B for a family. It is brilliantly situated for walking and exploring the city. Paolo, who met us was extremely friendly and very helpful in every way. It feels more like staying in a flat because you have a bedroom, bathroom, your own balcony, a shared lounge and kitchen. We met another lovely family and would have definitely stayed longer if we could. Paolo is one of the nicest and most helpful B&B owners we have come across. Highly recommended.

Well connected to public transit(5 min from metro and buses reach less than one minute walk) Walking distance from Vatican so good if planning to visit there. Breakfast is nice. You get a shelf in the fridge which you can put whatever you want in and comes with yogurt, butter and juice. A nice espresso machine, packaged toasted bread and packaged croissants(didn't like the croissants). Also "fresh" bread(not really fresh when we were there). Overall good breakfast. If you don't like something you will find something else to eat. Room is nice and large, would be nice for a couple. everything was clean. Free internet station with printer(good if you want to order tickets online for something). WiFi reception in rooms. Don't expect room service. Neighborliness was nice and quiet.

This is the first time that we stayed at a bed & breakfast type of accommodation and we loved it. The rooms were big, the kitchen had everything, and it is in a quiet neighborhood, but very well connected to the center even when just going on foot. We hope to come again when in Rome.

This is the first time we stayed at BB Arches. The rooms are confortable and spacious. We stayed there 6 days. For a long period,we would like to have new sleepingsheets and towels after 3 days for instance. It was not the case. Any way, it was pleasant.

We were lucky selecting this B&B. Nice classic building in a very good Roman neighbourhood, within only 5 blocks of the Vatican Museum. Very good restaurants in the area are used by locals mainly, this translates into very good food quality since the clientele is expected to return. The only minor problem in the summer months could be a loud Pub across the street that stayed open until late. However, we were so tired by the end of the day that the laughter of their patrons did not keep us up at all. The B&B rooms are unusually large and comfortable. The self-service breakfast arrangement is great and the possibility of using the kitchen for small meals/snacks is very useful when children are involved. We plan to return to this place next time we are in Roma. The two guys running this place are extremely nice, offer great tips and advice and are willing to accomodate late arrivals, airport pick ups, and luggage storage.

Extraordinary stay. Would be my preference if I were to visit the city again. Staff, location, room exceptional. Staffs' recommendations were taken and found to be well researched. Safe location, within walk to Vatican, Metro, and great neighborhood restaurants nearby. Computer available to do online research right in common area. Great advantage that didn't exist in other B&Bs. If you have the chance, ask for the suites with the views. We weren't able to get these, but on my return I will see if they were available. Do research before you arrive to use Metro and Buses. That will extend you range, reduce you travel costs. Easy walk from Metro stop. Can't say enough about our stay. Only caution, make certain you call ahead if your arrival time is delayed. Our plane was very late we should have advised staff accordingly. We arrived a lunch and had to wait for staff (10 minutes)

We stayed in the Blue Room and we were really impressed to see such a spacious room, the biggest I saw in all my travel exeriences. I also liked the particular and actractive style, and I was surprised discovering that Fabio&friends made it all by theirselves...great creativity! Each room has itsprivate bathroom, and the blue room also has the bath instead of the shower. By the way, Arches B&B is not only nice to see, but also very confortable, I really felt to stay at my own home. I found really useful to have internet connection always available for free, and lots of guides, maps and books on Rome, plenty of information on the main points of interest (the most of them are in English). I also liked the free buffet they prepare for breakfast, so you can wake up whenever you want, and also have something during the day, if you need. We have been there in a sunny day, so we have also the chance to appreciate the wonderfull veranda both for the breakfast and for a tea in the afternoon, so nice! The location is also perfect for visiting the city, being close to the Vatican Museums & S.Peter (walking distance) and to the metro station. The sorrounding area is aslo full of restaurants and pubs. Maybe if you want to go deeper in the nightlife (discos, clubs), you have to move a little bit more, but it wasn't my case. Since my spoken english is not so good, I also found very comfortable to can speak poruguese with Arches Staff, I think in this way we avoided misunderstandings. I definitely recomend Arches B&B, and thanks again to Fabio and his staff, they were very friendly.
