Our stay at the Anthony B@B was exceptional. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We took the shuttle bus (mini van) from the airport, which was only Euro 1.00 more than the train, and it dropped us right at the hotel. The train station is also close and walkable in 10 minutes or less. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was ensuite. We would definitely stay at here again on our next visit.

In general description of the Anthony B&B provided on the Web-site is true. The location is very good, it is approx. 30 minutes within walking distance of the Colosseum as well there is an underground station near the B&B. We found very nice restaurants and trattorias in the vicinity of Palestro street. The breakfast is rather rich in comparison with the traditional Italian-style breakfast. If you have a question, the staff is ready to help you. However, we faced a few a bit unpleasant situations. Our room was rather small so we could just open suitcases and get them under beds. It was very noisy, and you could hear every sound made in the hall, or in the kitchen, or in the street. Unfortunately the safe box was not properly functioning. Summing up, it was a good deal for money we paid.

Room was fine. Good breakfast. Air Con did not work but the weather was not excessively hot. Location near Termini was safe and convenient - hint: use Cavour ave to get to downtown. Good restaurants nearby. Grocery store, pharmacy nearby. Book store at Termini.

Great place, very easy to find from Termini. Spacious rooms. We had the private bathroom across the hall. Good variety for breakfast, much better than in B&Bs in Florence and Venice. We would definitely come back to this place.

A great location in the heart of Rome. Stayed a week. Very close to Termini and loads of good Trattorias. Good brekky in a small kitchen. Only problem was the air-conditioning was a bit ineffective and you had to close the bedroom window at night to shut out the noise. Regardless I would definitely stay again.

This was my first visit to Rome and I chose this B&B based on the reviews I had read. As mentioned, it is a 10 minute walk with luggage from Roma Termini; there is another metro station closer that makes it easy to get to the Coloseum and the Vatican. The room was very clean and had a decent sized bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful with juice, cereal, fresh rolls, pastries and tea/coffee. The only complaint was that the AC just didn't seem to cool the room down that much and there was too much street noise to keep the window open at night. That could be a problem in really hot weather. There were a couple of grocery stores in close proximity and a laundromat/internet place in the same street but about 2 blocks away on the other side of the street (turn left when you step outside the front door.) I would definitely stay here again so long as it isn't in the middle of summer.

Great place!! Very close to the train, helpful staff, BEAUTIFUL rooms and private bathrooms. The breakfast served in the kitchen is a nice spread (not just coffee and a roll). Only problem was the room faced the street, and with the window open, the garbage trucks collecting outside were noisy at night. Overall, a great value. I would definitely stay here again!!!

The B & B was fine with a comfortable room etc. The location was OK though breakfast was poor even by continental standards. What really caused the problem was getting a taxi to the main railway station at the end of our stay. The owner actually consulted Google to try and get us a taxi - in Rome. How unbelievable is that? She eventually left the hotel with her handbag, returning after about 5 minutes to state that one was coming. It didn't, so I took the Metro to the main station, got a Taxi off the rank, returned to the hotel to collect the other two members of our party, one of whom uses two sticks, and our luggage. Meanwhile of course we had missed our train to Naples. Hence a 0 rating for staff competence.

This is a wonderful bed and breakfast experience. Our room was very spacious and comfortable and we had "run of the kitchen" to make our breakfast. The railway station and bus terminus are quite close and there are quite a few historical sites in the area. We would certainly recommend Breakfast Anthony for a very pleasant overnight stay.

This was terrible. There was no hot water the first night and we had people in our room til 9.30pm trying to fix it (not tradespeople)and there plumbing was poor we had the horrible odour coming from the toilet everytime someone in the building flushed. We were assured the hot water problem would be fixed early the next morning, but when we returned from our day touring at 6.20pm, there was still no hot water. They finally got a tradesman out and after a couple of hours we finally could have a warm shower. This was just a stitch up though and meant we couldn't use the kitchen. Another guest said they had been without hot water since the dau before we arrived. Also, The toilet stopped flushing and wasn't fixed before we left, so we had to put up this this terrible odour the whole time we where there. This was easily the worst hotel experience in my life, and we weren't even offered any form of refund. Truly appalling.

The staff was very kind and it was able to spend good time.It was near also from the station, and comparatively, it was easy to compare the peace and it was felt for the opposite side of a station. If it explains that he has to check out early morning I was very glad to have taken out baked confectionery.A charge also wants to stay very much, when going to Rome meets at a low price again.

Breakfast was really good, although it would be great if it is served 30 min earlier (starting at 7:30 AM). There is not a person at the reception every hour during the day. I got there and no one answered the door. Fortunately the person in charge got there like 10 min after and I didnt have to wait much, but it would have been a problem if she would have taken longer. The TV didn't work properly and there was no shampoo.

Huge beautifully fitted and very clean room, with a superb breakfast. Free safe, large wardrobe, armchair and good bathroom. Helpful and friendly but not great English. Good location 100 yards from bus stop, 200 yards from Metro and only 10 minutes from Termini, so very easy to get anywhere in Rome without walking. The restaurant opposite is good and there are others nearby as well as grocery shops, banks, ATMs and Internet cafes. Overall area is a bit run down but seemed safe and orderly and has everything you need. Only downside is it is on 5th floor, but lift worked well although it is very small. However, this also means that it is quiet. They supply keys so no curfew problems, and also gave us keys so we could collect left luggage when we needed to. Very good value, and will stay there again when we next visit Rome.

We arrived around 10:30PM and the hotel ownder waited for us till that late with warm welcome. The room is very clean and new (new decoration 2 years ago). There is a sofa in the room which could be extended into a bed for kid. Breakfast is Italian food with rich selections. We checked out the last day while failed to catch train, we called the hotel around 10:30PM and they offer us an extended one day stay at same rate. Overall we enjoy the whole stay in this hotel and would recommend it to all other travellers.

Me and my wife enjoyed our stay tremendously. We felt save in the neighbourhood and were able to reach all the tourist attractions with ease. What did trouble us was the lack of a working aircon in the room which forced us to open the windows all night inducing a huge amount of street noise all night long. I did not recommend the B&B as a place for business trips due to the lack of a desent breakfast when you leave early before 8 in the morning.I would. I would recommend this to all my friends. Concetta is a wonderland Italian host.

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay at Anthony B&B. Our arrival was late at 8.00pm, but the owner was waiting for us and very helpful on arrival, even carrying our bags. Breakfast was excellent, omlettes cooked on the spot. Our departure was early so a continental breakfast was left for us in our room the evening prior. The location was great, within easy walking distance from the Termini. Also close to good restaurants and a laundramat.

This B and B was ideally situated, just 5 minutes walk from termini and the coach stop to the airport (cheaper and nearer to the B and B than the leonardo express) The room was clean and spacious and the beds could be made into a double or twin. Our ensuite bathroom was private but we had to exit the room to access it. The shutters in the room allowed us to toally block out light and sound, yet the room remined cool even though it was in the high 70s outside. Breakfast was from 8-9.15 daily and there was a fantastic selection of fruit, yoghurts, juices, fresh rolls, croissants, cereal, tea and coffee served. The B and B was handy for bus routes - our mistake was not to ask the girl who served breakfast the routes - if we had, we would have found out there was a bus just two minutes walk away rather than the 5 minutes to termini! There was a pleasant pizzeria opposite the B and B and we tried two others down the street during the week which also had lovely food and a nice atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again.

Small, family-run establishment. The location is very central. No internet service but there are many nearby. I personally found the beds a bit too soft for me, but I'm very fussy about mattresses. The rooms are very, very large (we had 3 people in ours - a queen and a single bed) and didn't feel cramped at all.

The apartment is in a good position, only minutes from 'Termini' station, perfect for all transport and there are several good reasonably priced restauarants nearby. The owner and young lady who served us breakfast were very helpful and as with others left some goodies to take on our early departure. Breakfast was fine although rolls and croissants not fresh on the Sunday, but plenty of choice of cereal, juice and yoghurts etc. Note breakfast doesn't start until 8am so if you need to get out early to the sights [to beat the queues] you will have to miss it but excellent and cheap coffee and cake shop less than 1 minute away. On the downside I booked an ensuite twin. The bathroom was NOT ENSUITE although WAS only for our use; it was a big room with good lighting but the shower [above the bath]had a very poor flow and was stuck in [sort of] pulse mode. I did ask if it could be turned but was told no. Also because of the combined shower glass and curtain, water went on the floor. The 'TWIN beds' were in fact good quality camp beds and at 5'7" my feet hung over the end but they were reasonably comfortable. As to noise we were probably unfortunate but the first night a neighbouring apartment was playing loud music although in fairness not into the early hours and there was a group of young americans staying the 2nd and 3rd night who came in late and woke us on both nights. So on balance, although perfectly adequate at the price, I wouldn't stay there again.

Perfect hostel. When we arrive on the 1st day at 4 sth, the owner prepare some drink and bread for us! So warm! I nvr try it in other hostel in Italy! Ant they can prepare the breakfast and bring it to your room if you do not want to have your breakfast in the breakfast room. (the breakfast room is very tidy and beautiful) I love the foam maker there and the stuff actively said she can help me to buy one in the store. Although the store was closed that day, I can feel the heart of the staff there. It is really a warm hostel.

The real issue is that the price doesn't correspond at all with the services provided and facilities. For the same price you can find three star hotels within the block. The place is nice and the owners tried their best, but some things need to be improved. The air conditioner doesn't work properly, the dinning room is rather uncomfortable and the overall cleaning could be better.

Anthony B&B is in a very good location, not too far from the train station. My only comment is that in summer, the airconditioning system in the room is very loud. We tried turning off the system and opening the windows at night, and although the B&B is not on a busy road, there is always some traffic during the night, and I found it impossible to sleep well. A new quiet airconditioner in the room would solve the problem nicely, but if noise is not an issue, it is a very nice B&B with good value for the money, a very spacious room, and modern bathroom. However, unless they modernize the airconditioning system, I would not return or recommend staying in the B&B in the summer.

I almost didn't give a 10 to public spaces, but only because there aren't really any public spaces. And, I had to exit my room to use our bathroom, although it was private for our use alone (we had the key). There are only two rooms for rent in this converted, large apartment, but the rooms are spacious, it was pretty easy to find, and the location and price were excellent! We were greeted by the friendly owners, and because we had to leave before breakfast the next morning to catch an early train to the airport a continental breakfast (yogurt, nice fruit selection, packaged tart, juices) was waiting in our room when we returned from dinner. I'd recommend this place. Don't expect a lot of stars and you won't be disappointed! Also, the bed was super comfy! And, there is a small elevator (if you're a person who travels with stupidly large bags you might need to make a few trips).

The owner/staff at this small B&B are very friendly and accommodating. I was worried from some other reviews that the neighborhood around the B&B was not very nice but in fact going from the train station to the B&B (easily walked in a few short blocks) is a nice clean area; likely it is the other side of the train station that is the less pleasant area. A number of inexpensive but good restaurants are nearby. The B&B can be a little hard to find (it's on the 5th floor), and had a little trouble checking in to the B&B to start with since nobody was there when we first arrived; would have been more convenient if we had a cellphone since the cellphone # is right on the door. After about 10 minutes waiting, the building manager allowed us to drop off our luggage and told us the owner would be back in an hour. We had a private washroom but it is not attached so we had to go through the hall, however definitely it was the nicest washroom we had in our whole trip.

My family loved our 4 night stay at the Anthony B and B! We were met promptly by the owner's son upon our late night arrival. The room with ensuite bathroom was extremely clean and the beds comfortable. The neighborhood was very safe and we loved all the eatery options within walking distance from the B and B. What made our stay so wonderful and memorable was Leonarda, a lovely woman who we found incredibly welcoming. She did everything to make us feel at home during our stay. Leonarda suggested the best mode of transportation to all the local sites, where to buy groceries, and a neighborhood restaurant with all homemade, non-processed foods. We would absolutely stay at this B and B again!

This accommodation was exactly as advertised. Very friendly and helpful family. The only downside was at breakfast. First morning (only 2 of us) the milk was sour and the rolls were stale but milk was changed when I complained and apologies were made. Second morning 7 were at breakfast and service was good but table too small to accommodate everyone.

The room was spacious but the furniture was only adequate. It is a real crap shoot when you share a bathroom with others and we lost big. My family and I absolutely loved it at Anthony's B&B!! They just recently opened after remodeling and it looks exactly like the pictures. There is some noise issue, especially cars honking, but the apartment it's located in is quiet. The owners speak well enough English for conversation and questions and the place was spotless. The rooms were quiant and perfect for a short vacation. The location is wonderful; it's just a short walk to the train/bus station and tons of stores. The next time we go back to Rome we are definitely staying at this bed and breakfast again.
