Recently stayed at the BB for 5 nights with my wife and our 14 month old daughter. Sergio and Caterina could not have Been more helpful. Prior to arrival details sent re getting directions and train time tables. On arrival Sergio was present to meet us and showed us public transport routes and directions to all the places we intended to visit. Breakfast was a selection of fruit, bread, meats, cheese yoghurts, to cover all tastes. The BB is only a short 5 minute walk to the Vatican. Overall a very pleasant experience, and would stay again no problem.

It is very rare for us to give such a high rating, we did this on this occasion because the service and friendliness exceeded what we expected. We arrived late in the afternoon in peak hour traffic with a hire car that we were anxious to return before closing. The B&B owner stayed back not only to give us directions on how to return the car but wait further until we returned an hour later. The couple then sat with us for an hour explaining sites around Rome and methods of public transport right down to bus numbers for various map locations. Apart from this we found the fridge constantly topped up with a good variety of foods including fresh fruit & juices. The kitchen is very practical with gas hot plates & microwave. The owners more than deserve a pat on the back for going out of their way to be assured all our needs were met. My wife & I would have no hesitation in recommending this B&B and would not hesitate in returning. Discussions with 2 young travelers from the U.S. seemed to share our conclusions.

We had a wonderful stay with Sergio and Caterina they could not have been more helpful. The property is very clean and is within walking distance of the Vatican and many other interesting spots. Also easy to get to from the Airport via train. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alla Cupola di San Pietro and Sergio and Caterina are so helpful. Before our visit, I enquired about airport transfers, and they recommended a local company that they use and at our request arranged our transfers at a very reasonable price. The B & B was charming and spotlessly clean. There were 3 in our party so we had the apartment to ourselves. Sergio was extremely welcoming and helpful, recommending places to eat and advising us on the buses we could get into Rome (there’s a bus stop directly outside). However we didn't use the bus as we had booked a hop on hop off bus tour. You can pick up these tour buses on the Via della Conciliazione – the main road that leads from St Peter’s Basilica, which is less than 10 minutes walk from Alla Cupola. Sergio and Caterina were very unobtrusive during our visit and just came in the evening to set up the breakfast table ready for the morning. A continental breakfast was provided, always with fresh bread, jams, meats, cream cheese, yoghurts and fruit so we never went out hungry! This was our first visit to Rome, but I’m sure it won’t be our last – and we would definitely return to the Alla Cupola di San Pietro!

The B&B Alla Cupola di San Pietro is a good place to stay if you're looking for a cheaper option in Rome. The room was clean and fairly large and the beds extremely comfortable, although there were two single beds which could not be put together for a couple to sleep in. The owners contacted us beforehand to give us directions from the airport and suggested places to eat and visit and the transport to use to get around Rome. Breakfast was provided in the kitchen and you were left to get whatever you wanted from a selection of cold options and drinks, before washing up the plates etc. yourself. We enjoyed our stay, and the location really was great for access to the Vatican.

Sergio and Caterina were helpful and warm. The rooms were quiet and the en suite bathroom was modern. Our traveling couple had to walk across the hall for their bathroom, though. There are only two rooms, so we occupied the whole apartment. The property is a 25 to 30 minute walk to the Vatican. At night, the walk from Rome Central was a little scary. Fortunately, a number of buses stop directly in front of the apartment. After we got used to which ones to take, we were okay. In addition, there were not many places to eat around the apartment, as the area is very residential.

Great place to stay in Rome. Caterina and Sergio are friendly and helpful hosts. Beds comfortable (medium-soft mattresses) and everything spotlessly clean. Small flat-screen tv in each room and hundreds of channels. BBC World News on 11. Music-only stations in the 500-group. Some noise from neighbors, though apparently common for this type of building, but silent after 11pm. NO CHARGE for air conditioning and room safe. Only two rooms, with individual bathrooms, and a small kitchen/eating area. Self-serve breakfast: a variety of breads, rolls, pastries and biscuits provided, along with cream cheese, cold cuts, jams, friut, yogurt, milk, juices and coffees. Lots of food! Kitchen seats 4, has microwave, toaster, stove, fridge and all the dishes you may need. B&B is on third floor, but there is an elevator (not common). Owners provide maps and brochures, though entrance fees in Rome rise frequently and brochure information may be out of date. Pizza Pollie restaurant/take-out, just next door, has good food, reasonable prices, and at least one very helpful gentleman whose name we never did get. Good selection of beer and wine too. Rome's transit system is cheap and easy to use, so it might prove worth your while to learn to use it. This B&B is within walking distance of the entire Vechhio Romagna (Old Rome) area, if you don't mind walking that is. The Vatican is just a couple hundred meters away, and the Colosseum is about a one hour walk, with lots to see and do in between. we would definitely stay again if we ever return to Rome.

This was a great stay! The place is super cute and welcoming, and an easy walk to/from St. Peter's/Vatican area. Breakfast was great. The rooms were very cute and clean, everything exactly as promised. There are only 2 guest rooms, so since we had reserved them both for our family group of 4, we had the whole place to ourselves. It was extremely enjoyable and I would definitely recommend B&B Alla Cupola di San Pietro!

This was a very clean B&B, with a very modern bathroom. Sergio was very helpful and he and his wife, Caterina, were extremely friendly. The B&B was perfectly located near the Vatican. It was nice to have an elevator instead of lugging bags up the stairs. My wife and I thought was a wonderful place to stay.
