Bed and Breakfast Al Centro di Roma - Rome

Ideal place for short trip to rome. All the main sights are within walking distance. The breakfast in the bar opposite is typical italian and you can choose between two kinds. The room has everything you need (incl. hair dryer, safe, tv and fridge and is very clean.

This B&B is located just a 5 minute walk from one of the loveliest piazzas in Rome--Piazza Navona. It's situation is ideal for exploring some of the most famous and interesting parts of central Rome on foot, including the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, and Capitoline Museums. The property is essentially an apartment in a building right in Piazza Sant'Andrea delle Valle, with rooms that have been divided into three or four separate bedroom/bathroom units, off a long corridor and tiny foyer. The rooms are spacious, scrupulously clean, and come with A/C, a TV, internet access and a tiny 'fridge. Despite being in a busy part of the city, these are quiet, restful rooms. Breakfast is taken across the street at the only cafe in the piazza (you're given a voucher to take there which entitles you to a coffee, juice, and croissant)--perfectly adequate, but not a terribly nice atmosphere--and so opting for breakfast at the nearby Sant'Eustacio Caffe' (a 10 minute walk away) proved more enjoyable. There doesn't seem to be much staff on duty, except for when the rooms are being cleaned, and the proprietors (a lovely and friendly husband and wife) speak little English. It's more of a "make yourself at home," kind of place, and you're given keys to come and go into the main building (as well as the apartment and your rooms). I gave the "Public Areas" a rating of 7...not because they weren't good, but because there really should be a "Not Applicable" option to choose, since the only public space was the entrance foyer (although nicely provided with books and magazines to read, and a tiny table to sit at). One suggestion: a full or 3/4 length mirror would be nice to have in the room, as the mirror over the dresser is placed too high to be useful. While what you are paying for is really mainly a room (and breakfast), without any of the other services of a hotel, it's location, cleanliness, and serenity make it worth the visit.

This B&B was in the perfect location and the owners were fantastic hosts! We would most definitely stay here again!
