Bed and Breakfast ABC - Rome

ABC Guest House is in a busy part of Rome, therefore you have to expect street noise. This would not be unusual in any part of this area. The room we had was traditionally spacious. We had plenty of choice over breakfast and told that we could help ourselves if we wanted a drink at anytime, from the kitchen. An invitation which of course we treated with respect and discretion. The hotel is a short walk from the Metro station and St. Peter's. The metro is less than 5 minutes and St. Peter's around ten minutes walk, for a middle-aged/elderly traveller like the writer. Staff at ABC were helpful and courteous. We had no problems whatsoever during our stay.

It was located on a 4th floor with a lift. Accommodation was alright but looking across a big void to other windows from neighbouring buildings. Parking on the street was impossible so we took the garage option which was 6 blocks away. We walked to Vatican City every day [10 mins] and there we bought a 2 day ticket on the red bus [18 euro], which allowed us to hop up and down all day and visit the most famous spots. Breakfast was comprehensive but we could help ourselves with fruit and yogurt from the fridge whenever. We would go back to this location as it was good value for money.

The rooms are clean, spacious enough, have nice bathing facilities but are too noisy. I strongly suggest to do something about it. We even bought ear plugs to solve the problem. Nice staff.

Wonderfully close to Metro stops. Very convenient to Vatican and most other areas of interest. Safe streets to walk. The free coffee and fruit at any time were a nice touch and very welcome for someone travelling on a budget.

I and my family stayed in the beginning of may this year.It's a very good place to stay in Rome.It's very clean keeping place, Good food and location, very good connection with public transport (metro station is about 200m. from the flat), unbelievable correct, kind and helpful host.Security is also on very good level. I recommend this B&B very hard!!! If some day I'll back to Rome, I'll stay again here. Tank's again to the staff.

The owner of the B&B went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay! The room was fantastic and the location was very convenient! I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

You can't call this a bed & breakfast. This is the first place I have ever stayed in where they don't even make you a cup of coffee! You have to use an automated machine(in Italy)!! There is no "breakfast" that should be included in this "B&B".Forget about sleeping! This place is soo loud. One night we had to bang on the wall of the adjoring room to shut them up. When people wake up you can hear everything they are saying, when they come home at night you are awakened again! We were staying for 3 nights and had to ask for clean towels on the 2nd night! The floors in the room were flithy! The first night we were there I found a pubic hair on my foot that by the color was clearly not mine! And when we arrived I called the cell number from the website and was rudefully hung up on. When I called back..he said he was having coffee and would be there when he could and hung up on me again!! What service huh. The website neglectd to inform me that the employee (looked like the guy from that 70's show) couldn't speak English. Would of been nice to know ahead of tie! Fabio was nice but not enough to make up for the beds that were 4 inches off the floor, the noise, the lack of decent coffee at a B&B, our beds by the way had a tiny blue blanket and a sheet!!!! No extra blankets, no bedspread of cover, NOTHING! I had him go to the website and show him what I meant (maybe language barrier) but still NO adequate bedding. I would rather sleep in my car then to stay at this place again!!!

We had a great stay at ABC, Fabio was a very gracious host. He was there waiting our arrival and gave us an overview on the map of all the places to see. Everything was in order when we got there and the rooms were very clean. Also the location was fantastic especially if you want to be close to the Vatican it was very convenient. We were also maybe two blocks from the nearest metro where you could easily get to all the other sites. We were very happy with everything and have already recommended it to someone else.
