Bed and Breakfast 21 Aprile House - Rome

I would recommend 21 Aprile House. The room I stayed in could accommodate 2 people, but is better suited to the single traveler. The hosts, Davide and Lorenza were very attentive and helpful. There are several restaurants nearby and a market across the street. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and would not hesitate to go back. I rated welcoming a five because my hosts were not there when I arrived, however, a woman directed me to the cafe up the street, and it was there I found a note explaining why my hosts could not there to greet me (a personal emergency) and the keys to the building and my room Judith Dempster, USA

I give 21 Aprile House good ratings, but it probably deserves better for most visitors. Due to extenuating circumstances,hosts Lorenza and Davide were out of town on the one night we stayed at the property, so we were unable to enjoy their company. Davide's parents covered for them, and did as good a job as could be expected given a slight language barrier. The points I'd make independent of our hosts' absence are (1) the property is on the fourth floor, and not clearly indicated from the lobby. My wife and daughter stayed with the luggage outside a tiny elevator while I skipped floors looking for the B&B; and (2) our college-aged daughter slept on a fold-out bed (booked as a "triple", but I wouldn't recommend the comfort of the mattress, and (3) the breakfast we received was rather Spartan, pre-wrapped toasts and jam. It might be a different with Lorenza and Davide on site, but something you might want to ask when booking.

The host couple (recently married, I am their first customer after their honeymoon) is extremely nice and helpful. Clean room, good service, nice breakfast, close to grocery store (Carrefour). The only downside is it is a little bit far away from the subway station (15 minutes), although in Roma standards, that is probably considered close.

Very friendly and helpfull young couple, close to metro (400 M), clean and environmently friendly. Good value for a B&B
