We selected this B&B based on location. Upon arrival Alberto informed us, that we had been moved to a different location several blocks away. We had no say in this matter. We were forced to sign a document that we could only take pictures but no publish them. When asked, Alberto used Facebook as an example. We have stayed at B&B's in many places in Italy and the U.S. And have never encountered such a thing, but we signed it. We like B&B's because of the personal interaction with the host(ess). This was lacking here. American style bread and cereal were places in plastic? We were on our own in the mornings. There was only one other room. We did not have the benefit of a host's recommendation for restaurants, but he was willing to recommend an excellent gelato place. On the second day, after expressing our concerns he left us a note stating that we could leave and he would refund our money. This was a trip planned far in advance, with stays at TerminiGold at both the beginning and end so the month. Our itinerary with contact information was given to everyone in advance. We didn't, want to waste time in Rome searching for another place to stay and without anyone being able to contact us in an emergency. We chose to stay and requested the same room for our return. Much unpleasantness could have been avoided if we had been informed that we were going to be changed to another location prior to arrival at the facility we booked.

Very, very clean room, very friendly guest. Not too close to the main interesting city sites. As for the negative sides of this B&B, I could tell about the low temperature in the room. So cold, that when taking a shower or getting off bed was like torturing yourself.

Alberto gave us a warm greeting and fully explained everything we needed to know. The rooms were exactly as depicted on the website and very clean and fresh. We had a short walk to the Metro to get wherever we wanted to go and enjoyed a couple of nice restaurants within walking distance. It was a very good value!

We were very satisfied. The location is excellent. From Fiumicino you can go by Leonardo express train for half an hour to Termini station. Than you go on foot 10 minutes. Every historic buildings are near. You can go on foot or by tube. The station is near. This subway also goes straight to Vatican. Alberto, the B&B owner is very kind and helpful. The room was very clean. For getting to know the city it is perfect. You can find good restaurants near. For our next staying in Rome, I would return there.

This B&B is awesome!!! And Alberto also! :) Very clean, spotless and comfortable. Dont hesitate to chose this B&B It's little bit far from Termini about 10 mins by walk if you follow Alberto's suggestion, you wont get lost. And it's far from Manzoni Metro station about 5 mins. I usually use Manzoni metro station to travel anywhere in Rome. Surrounding B&B is quiet area and safe. My first feeling was little bit not safe but when we traveled there, it is not as my first thought. About the room is so great, ikea style. breakfast is great, I love yogurt & his bread and his coffee machine. :) About shared bathroom ---> Very clean! And I like the bath shampoo So much (I forget to ask Alberto when I can buy it ;P) Thanks to Alberto for our staying. We have a great time there.

Upon our 1300 arrival there was a note on the door asking us to call and wait ten minutes to have the door opened and our checkin to begin. We do not carry a cellphone. After flagging down a passerby the call was made. Be aware this is a hotel type setup without any desk clerk or owner on premise. Otherwise the location was good, the area not inviting but not intimidating. The continental breakfast very basic although the owners wife did make a nice morning cake.

We arrived in Rome termini, via the buz shuttle- much cheaper way of transport from the airport and just as comfortable. We were directed to the B&B itself from there. We walked which was an easy 10 minutes, however actually finding the apartment is tricky as every block looks the same. Nevertheless we found it and were greeted by a friendly Alberto, who gave us all the information we needed and made us feel at home straight away. Looking beyond the 4th floor apartment, which was also having work done to it, the B&B itself was extremely clean, which extra care to attention to detail. Fresh coffee was supplied every morning, personalised shelves for breakfast, with a good selection of items, set us up for the day. We would recommend Termini Gold to friends and family, when visiting Rome for its good location into Ancient Rome- a lovely 15 minute walk to the coliseum, but mostly because of the warm welcome we received from Alberto and the extra mile he goes to.

It's so good hotel, anyway, It's very very difficult to find the hotel because the hotel only has two rooms located in a big surounding appartment. so, when you work out of the number street on the map but you can not see the name of the hotel because the hotel up on floor of a big appartment, anyway, you have to work it out on the name tags in front of the door. Alberto was just about the best host you can have, very precise and providing us with all the information one might need. The BnB itself is definitely a gem for Rome:modern, clean, with all the amenities that a guest requires. The way to the BnB from Termini Station (where we came from) is a somewhat different story: not too pleasant with an abundance of "suspicious" characters...maybe it's something that's understood for the surroundings of any big city railway station. Then again, if you follow Alberto's instructions on how you move about the area, the stay becomes more pleasant.

After a month backpacking around Europe (staying in backpacker hostels) our last stop was Rome, and we are so glad we booked this amazing place as our final accommodation. It was wonderful to feel at home and not be in hostels anymore! We stayed 3 nights and had the best sleeps, even though it was 40 degrees outside the airconditioning was perfect, we enjoyed free laundry/breakfast/wifi, and we loved the friendliness and hospitality of the host. Good location just 5 mins walk from the metro, and 15 mins walk from the colosseum. Only 2 couples stay here at any time and we enjoyed getting to know the other couple. Also as a gay couple we felt 100% comfortable and welcomed, so I would definitely say this place is gay friendly.

This was my second time in Rome and first time in BB Termini Gold. The appartment is entirely renovated and very neat and tidy. The building is in a corner between two streets. I didn't like the one that leads to Termini station (Via Principe Umberto), as it is not a very nice area, but the other street, Manzoni, was much nicer and I felt safe coming back late at night on foot. Alberto was really nice and helpful, he takes very good care of his BB and his guests. Termini Gold is a nice place to stay while visiting Rome.

this B&B is lovely. Alberto is very helpful and keeps the place spotless.Breakfast is superb if you leave hungry it is your fault. tip- as it is a 30 -35 minute walk from the termini station suggest you go into the main train station stopping only for a bus ticket from the news paper stand. ( an all line rover ticket for 3 days is 11Euro) come out of the station on the right side for the hotel - left as the teians come in- and you will see a tram stop accross the road - number 5 or 14. get off at the 3rd stop which is near the ice cream factory/ cafe (superb stuff but not open on mondays) and supermarket. turn left at the corner ahead of the stop and then the next left is Via principle umberto, 77 is accross the road (there is only 83) so very easy to get to. this means the 30 -35min walk is reduced to 8 minutes. follow same route back to the termini for all routes to sights in Rome. As with all major cities in the world rail stations can attract undesirables so watch where you walk especially streets further than the hotel. keep where people and shops are.we would stay here again at the drop of a hat

The service of the owner (Alberto) is superb! He provided us with detailed plan by e-mail from Termini station to the B&B, he provided us with Roma plan and he gave us lots of info. The location of the B&B is ideal: only a couple of minutes away from metro stations. Due to the orientation of the B&B the noise of the street (cars/people) can hardly be heard: very nice! The B&B is located in a normal street, in a 5 floor building in which the original appartment is split in 2 separate B&B's.

Alberto is a most gracious host and has done a wonderful job in creating a beautiful place to stay. He had great recommendations for how to go to and from sites we wanted to see. We wished we had stayed here on our other visits to Rome, and that we could have stayed longer at this location. The neighborhood is a little rough if you are walking from Termini to the B&B, but we didn't have any trouble, and appreciated the proximity to the trains when we needed to leave for the airport....10 minute walk with luggage and kids. One word of advice - be prepared with cash payment upon arrival. Alberto emailed us ahead of time to coordinate our arrival and reminded us of the total including tax, which Venere did not do, which was most helpful.

I enjoyed my stay here very much. The owner was very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was not what Americans will expect at a B&B but if you've been to Italy before you'll understand that the toast and coffee breakfast is typical (yoghurt was also provided in the fridge). This B&B has a small kitchen where you can keep (and even cook) your own food, however, so the breakfast isn't such a big issue. The apartment is in a very multicultural part of Rome, and a 5-10 minute walk from the train station. But I did not feel unsafe. I would not take the owner's recommendations for food, however. RED (across the street) is mediocre and expensive. Try, instead, Meid in Nepols, which is on the other side of the Termini. You'll have a much better dinner.

The termini area is not the greatest area. We knew that booking when we were booking this. This B&B is located away from the centre of the shady areas. As long as you are a smart traveler, you should be fine. We didn't encounter any problems and we walked back to the B&B each night. Alberto, the owner, is professional and informative. He sent us an email with directions, maps and schedules before our arrival. He spent a lot of time explaining things and making recommendations for sights and neighbourhoods. He was extremely helpful and hospitable. We were surprised to find that the private bathroom that we booked was not connected to our room. It was fine though. I think that the other room may have the bathroom connected to the room. The breakfast is minimal, it is more of Do It Yourself breakfast as the owner doesn't live there. Being in Rome, you can have go out and have a cappucino and pastry at a local cafe instead. The B & B has a private apartment-like feel to it which we liked as you have access to a small kitchen/fridge. One thing to note is that we were in the city during Euro Pride where Lady Gaga played a free concert. The owner received requests for reservations, but he honored ours since we had booked prior to the announcement of Gaga playing, which is admirable. I am sure that the prices of B&Bs increased dramatically.
