Bed and Breakfast Gustè - Rome

It could be a very nice place.The rooms are big enough. The offered breakfast is okay. Its great, that the kitchen can be used for cooking. And with only four rooms,the kitchen becomes a very communicative place. But the equipment is insufficient or broke: only two knifes and one little spoon, microonde and television don't work. The bathrooms are dirty and the cleaning is only superficial. Broken things get not fixed, many left overs (hair in the drawers, three years old cosmetic products, many empty bottles) in the bathrooms and the kitchen of former clients are around since months. Bad management!

It is a Bed and Breakfast but you only rent a Bed, there is no breakfast with no services at all. Some dry toast is no breakfast, we had to buy our breakfast in the shop. We also called the owners but no response. And there were no clean towels during our 4 days, the owner said this was normal. We will never go back, and not recommend this bad B&B

Everything was OK except for one of the bathrooms. It needs immediate reprair. Tiles fall off, the bath tub was not clean, there were black stains on the ceiling. The other bathroom was OK.

I stayed in this B&B in May and we loved it. The location is fantastic, near the metro and you have all you need near: supermarket, fruit market, shops, mcdonalds, pizzaria and everythinhg!

A simple B&B on good distance of the city centre (walking as well as by public transport). Dont expect much of the breakfast part, it is typical Italian (coffee and a biscuit) but there is a great fruitshop next door.

We stayed at the B&B Gustè about a year ago in September, as a couple. Going to come back in August 2011 with our child. Excellent location, quiet rooms, a hospitable host! Recommend!

Good location (approx. 30 minutes on foot from Colosseo, 10 minutes from metro station). As we used all of the 4 rooms, it was OK. Though cannot imagine to stay with foreign people, as the kitchen is quite small and there is one tiny and one bigger bathroom. The owner was very nice and helpfull. Overall nice place to stay.

It is a very cheap alternative and you should not expect a high class hotel. But given the price the rooms (and facilities) are nice and clean, but dont expect a rich breakfast. A nice kitchen is available, though , and a supermarket and little speciality shops are nearby. However, the kitchen is not very well equipped (in terms of utensils). Transportation isnt the easiest in Rome and Guste is a bit off center. The metro is close (around 5 mins) but you usually need to switch lines to get to the most important sights. Not too bad, though, but get yourself familiar with bus, tram and metro lines beforehand! Overall a good but simple accommodation for budget travelers.

Spacious, clean rooms in a modern international IKEA style with fresh colours, balcony, good bed and mattress. The kitchen is OK, but the bathrooms definetely need a little renovation, the newer one is very small, the washbasin was only loosely attached and the shower drain nearly blocked, the other bath is larger but damp with mould stains in the shower and a stale smell.

Highly convenient location for tourists or professionals in Rome for a prolonged journey, very close to San Giovanni subway stop and its famous religious monument, only a few stops form Termini railway station. Rooms are cozy, quiet, well heated and very spacious, excellent price/quality ratio overall. Single bathroom (shared among four rooms) could be more spacious and better equipped. A much smaller bathroom with shower facilities is provided, but not always accessible. Well equipped kitchen is provided for quick meals and plenty of food for breakfast was available albeit on a self service basis. Rooms weren't cleaned or done on a daily basis. Overall an excellent and convenient stay for a large gorup of two families of eight, with a few glitches highly compensated by the bargain price and otherwise very helpful manager.

We spent four nights in B&B Gustè and would recommend this place to other people concerning the cleanliness of the rooms and the distance to the Metro station. Breakfast could be improved but everybody is in a position to make his own breakfast as a lot of small shops are within walking distance. The owner, when he was there, was helpful in any way. Thanks and once again: Yes we would recommend!

The sheets on my bed were worn out. There were very great holes in it. That's a shame. The breakfast was not as was promised on the side. There was only toast and no bread or croissants. Further it was excellent to stay in Rome.

The room is very nice but not very clean, the only public area is the kitchen which is very small. The breakfast provided is very poor. The cleanness of the rooms especially the bathroom cannot be described, it was inexistent. I would not reccomend this place for your holiday!!!!

Amazing starting point for your days in Rome. Highly recommend Guste. Stayed in the green room, friends stayed in the next room. Clean comfortable bed, nice neighbourhood. Short walk to the Metro you are midway between two stops. Easy to access all the sights on bus/metro system, can buy a 3 day pass. Small fruit and vegetable store as you exit the building with fair prices. Grocery store near Re di Roma metro exit. Hair straightener in the bathroom! Clothes racks on back gallery to dry your things if needed. We had 4 sunny days in early May in Rome, no mosquitos, perfect temperatures and saw most of what we had hoped to see. Great experience.
