I had to wait for half an hour for the staff receiving me. Coffee in a thermos is quite poor. The rest of breakfast was ok. The bathroom was nice, modern and clean but the shower (cabin) is absolutely too small.

A miserable experience!

No hot water on Day 2 of stay, one of the few requirements we have (irrespective of whether other guests have just showered). Breakfast was minimal and unusual that we had to return to our rooms as there was no space elsewhere. Host is absent from premises so do not feel this is correctly described as a B&B as by definition, the host is always present in what is supposed to be a home environment in our experience. Attendant was courteous but not the same as having the owner on site. Unable to provide a simple map of the city or other tourist aides. Shared bathroom was OK except for soiled shower mat from previous day.

The shower in the men's bathroom is very crammy and wasn't working properly at the time. B&B is situated in a apartment buildning, and one of the neighbours made a lot of noise in the middle of the night, shouting and talking really loud, and dragging furniture. Walls not sound proof because of old building. This happened twice, but not as loud the second time, though. Since the place is originally an apartment, the doors to the rooms are thin and let in a lot of noise and sounds from the public areas as well. If you can live with this for a few days then this place is great, cheap and clean and not very far from central Rome and the tourist stuff. We stayed for 4 nights but spent most of the time out on sightseeing and such, so for us this was a perfect choice, since we didn't want to spend a great deal of money on a room where we would just about sleep and shower. In the neighbourhood there are all sorts of shops and a lot of places for eating, both bars and trattorie and real restaurants. The metro is 3-4 blocks from the B&B, not far to walk, took us about 20 minutes in total to get to the Termini station. The hostess was very friendly and helpful, explained a few things and told us things we might need to now, really nice lady! It was a bit difficult to find the place because the number of the house wasn't on the actual street, but you had to walk into the yard in between two buildings, but just look at the numbers on the houses, and walk in between and you will find it, it has a plaque outside the main door of the building.

In the beginning we were attempted to be moved to the other B&B, after we refused, we were given the apartment we rented. The rooms were not cleaned every day. The sink in the male bathroom was not working for 5 days, the shower was partially clogged. Location is as described, about 30 minutes on foot to Vatican museum.

The room was spacious and very clean. The hostel is 5min walking distance from Vatican. The breakfast is very poor: tea, coffee and one croissant. That's all!

If it wasn't for the lady who ran the place we would rate this much lower. She was very kind, and helpful. The location is ok. It is walking distance to the Vatican so that is a good thing. There are shared bathrooms (for women and men) and unfortunately they are a bit run down. We stayed at the first room as you enter the B&B it was nice but you can hear everything outside the room. We were kept up all night because a man was on the phone in the room next to us, and in the morning for breakfast you hear everything. The main door to the B&B is a bit tricky to close so a lot of people slam it. We previously stayed at the Orange Garden B&B for the same price and it was a lot nicer with a private bath and even closer to the Vatican than this. I would highly recommend that over this place.

Grazie Claudio!
