Totti was friendly and the room was good enough. Although located close to the Termini station, the other surroundings lack a variety of restaurants, bars, shops, etc. Skip the breakfast!

We loved talking to signora Totti to practise our Italian but thought it might be a bit problematic if it had been English-only.... And it was a nice surprise to have breakfast in the garden as the weather was really good. Our room was really quiet but with no view. Perfect for a 2 nights stay (between Positano and Helsinki), only a few minutes' walk to Termini station. Much better than we expected for the price we payed

Very appreciate with her, Totti. She is not very in english but we always feel that she warm welcome to take care us. I stayed there for 2 nights. 1st day, we planed to leave very early, she was willingness to prepare breakfast for us. She always smile and polite. Nice to see her again. And, location is very near termini. Just walk around 5 minutes and very close with museum, like the same wall.

Really decadent Hostel.. Not dirty but plenty of all things you can imagine. In our room was a big round table with plastic tablecloth , with the tv. on... a cupboard close with key in wish I suppose the owner keep her personal and old things. You must to take the breakfast in a small room / kitchen with one table , plenty of papers ,telephone books , cakes in plastic bag, re-hot coffee . Bath clean, but plenty of all kind of champoo of all guest forget. Just one bathroom for all hostel. The owner, a older woman, friendly but asking from the first time that we have to pay. Location very useful, because near Termini station. No, recommendable but ok for just one nigth.

If you are looking for a central location around Termini Station, it's a good choice and the rooms are very spacious. However, we arrived very late in the afternoon, the room was dirty, even after they cleaned it the sheets had weird spots on them. The thing they call as "breakfast" was a total failure, with mini packages of jams, outdated biscuits and cracker, in -probably- one of the worst pizzeria back yards, with plastic plates, etc.I preferred it as I thought a house-like place would be more friendly, having the touch of a sweet Italian lady, but we saw her 2 min. during check-in and 1 min. during check out..The staff literally speaks no English so very hard to communicate. So I think there are various other options around that offers you better quality. The pics on the website are sweet but they are from her own house, which is really small and you have to stay somewhere else.

We had a lovely time in Casa Totti. It's situated on a quiet road close to the Termini train station. It did take us a while to find the hotel as there was no B&B sign, just the name Totti on a doorbell. The breakfast was good and Mrs Totti and the young man, who spoke English and came by to help her, were very friendly. I would have been useful to know some basic phares in Italien, but we managed with a mixture of English an French.

I had stayed at casa totti for 3 nights with my wife. It was wonderful. The lady (I guess Mrs. Totti) is very kind and smiley person. She speaks OK French and that's helped a lot since we don't speak Italian :) The location of the house is literally in front of "Termini" (central train station of Rome). Pros: 1. Great location and great price/value. 2. Spacious room and toilet Special Note: You know that when you book a B&B please always mention when you want to check in!

Signora totti is very nice lady, and helped out in all our needs, the hotel location is really just a few blocks from the roma termini station, after hop off is just a 5 minute walk, really easy to get any transportation from there to anywhere in rome, if just staying for 2 or 3 days really recommend to catch up the city tour sightseeing bus, it runs from early till late and you can move all around rome on it !!! casa totti till now was the most helpful and nice stay in all my trip to europe!!! if i come back to rome for sure i'll stay at casa totti!!!

The place is literally 2 minutes away from the train station, and our stay was simply perfect - the room was pretty big, very quiet and really clean. The owners were kind and helpful, they cordially let us leave our baggage at the place after checking out until our departure from the city! Breakfast is really abundant. Really good choice considering the really unexpensive price!

The location is really convenient- 6 min walk from the train station and surrounded by different kinds of (mostly small) restaurants. Great breakfast, great coffee. The couple running the place are really warm and kind. One thing I did not like is that you can hear everything that is going on in the hallway, especially when your 'private bathroom' is separately located on the hallway from your room (altho just right opposite to your room), you can sometimes hear people unlocking the doors late at night or early in the morning. Sometimes you can hear noisy drunk people on the street. But everything else is pleasant! :)

The B&B was a bit tricky to find. There really should be a picture of the building of A Casa Totti on the booking site, because the house number was very small and the numbers of the houses are generally not in logical order at all. We found the place with the help of a friendly native person. The area never seemed unsafe to us but the smell of urea at the street leading to A Casa Totti was awful. The houstess Mrs Totti was friendly but she really spoke only a few words English. We encountered small problems. Our room was truly spacious and very nice -if you don't mind mold above the shower too much, it's almost perfect. The breakfast was good and quite comprehensive. But the cats in the garden (and on the table) made us doubt the hygiene a bit. We experienced a small unpleasant surprise when one day Mrs Totti gave a housing show to an agency and potential byers and also our room was showed. All in all I think it really was worth the money we paid and I liked a lot that our room was in a separate building than the reception though it was near.

Very disappointed! It's true that you get what you pay for but although I wasn't expecting Buckingham Palace it certainly was a let down. Eating 'typical italian breakfast outside' sounds lovely but the surroundings were abysmal and the food no different to a basic continental breakfast that you would get from any hotel in Italy, in fact slighty worse. I wouldn't recommend anyone to got there, pay that bit extra, it'll be worth it!

Très bon choix : localisation (Termini, métro, bus), accueil, service, calme, propreté. Agréable petit déj dans le jardin. On souhaiterait seulement de meilleurs produits, moins industriels (pain, beurre, confiture, etc). C'était notre premier voyage à Rome à 2. Eric Limet & Nicole Lekeux

Location great, easy to walk everywhere. Mrs Totti charming, but it's hard to communicate with her in English. Breakfast is plentiful :) Unfortunately, no air conditioning!!! The room is dark and stuffy, and when you open the window - loudly. In August - mosquitoes! Ideal for less demanding tourists, cheap, close, but without the exaggerated comfort. This is not a hostel, but apartment in a building in which the owner is permanently resident.

We were expecting a quiet place but there were too many people in the area. There was a junkie sitting in the street outside the hotel bleeding from where the needle was in his arm. WTF. The AC did not work so we had to have the windows open which limits privacy. I was very unhappy with that. Philip told me to just lower the settings on the AC which didnt work. Not ideal for a couple wanting privacy. I was expecting a private bath too. It was private but we had to leave the room and pass through a common area to get to it. WTF. The WC was very hot and you needed to open a window which is fine, however, the window opened into a courtyard full of other apartments. very annoying! The surroundings were cramped and dirty and I was quite happy to leave.

It was good overall. We stayed in a double room with private toilet. The toilet could have been a little bigger and what's most important, clean. Breakfast was good too and the owner was nice. The only thing I didn't like much was that when we left our luggage in custody they weren't in a room looked but just in the hall.

Terminni station is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. It only take about 10minutes to the Colosseum by METRO and not too far also to the VATICAN CITY...Be very careful when you buy Metro tickets at the Kiosk own by the Asian men because they will rip you off by selling you a 1 Euro ticket when you've actually paid for an all day 4Euro and its not until you use your return ticket you realise they've RIPPED you off and when you go back to complain they will Haul you with lots of abuse and pretend that you didnt buy the Ticket there. Our room was very noisy at night and there were people hanging outside by the car park at night smoking, drinking and even more. Having to use 7 different keys each time we used the room was crazy. We were the only ones there for the one night we stayed. If others were there, it would have been so noisy with unlocking the doors, unlocking the bathroom, locking the bathroom, unlocking the bedroom and locking it again for each room occupied that we would never get any sleep. The window opened to the street and the restaurant across the street was noisy with outdoor singing until 1AM. For 88 euros, it was barely tolerable.

We had a very positive experience staying at A Casa Totti. Iginia was very welcoming and accommodating. We felt that the price was appropriate. The location was very good: very close to the Termini and metro stations. Communication was somewhat challenging since I only speak a little Italian and Iginia speaks very little English, but we were able to get by. It's not the most perfect place but it isn't the most expensive either. For the price, it was exactly what were were looking for: a room with a bed to sleep on and a private bathroom with great access to public transit. Being near the Termini, you have access to buses, taxis, metros, trains, the airport (via the Leonardo express)... the termini is pretty much the transit hub. We're a young couple so we bought a 3-day transit pass and traveled all over Rome by bus and Metro. However, Rome is like any large city and the streets are not the cleanest, so expect this (also, protect your valuables when in large crowds).

Communications were difficult since Ms. Totti does not speak english nor does the help. The actual accomadations were not at Via Gaeta 79, but down the street at no. 23. The room was on the fifth floor and was just what we had ooked: a double bed (very comfortable) and a private bathroom. The help came every day to change the linens. The view from the window is nothing scenic. There is no air conditioning but window ventilation was okay (Sept. temmp. range was 65 to 85 degrees F.). The only problem we had was the shower head was on a hose and the wall attachment did not hold it securely. The breakfast Ms. Totti furnished was very good, eating in her garden. This was the first time we had stayed in a bed and breakfast in Rome and we heartly recommend the particular unit we stsyed in for a week.

B&B totalmente recomendable, al lado de Termini donde se cojen todos los transportes de Roma. Habitacion y baño limpios. Si vuelvo a Roma no dudare en alojarme aqui.

We had a big room in the next block - with our own bathroom across the hall - and had to go to the the main address for breakfast - which was adequate if not great. Teapot had a broken spout and the bread was pre-packed and sliced. Breakfast is on a communal table in the garden - if it rains I dont know where you go. Its close to the station and some good restaurants and we did not feel threatened although there were some rough looking characters about. An ideal spot - not expensive - handy for the terminus where all the buses and trains leave from. Landlady speaks very little English but is friendly and will look after bags. The place is not signed so you must look for the address and then its just a floor in an apartment building. Would recommend as long as you are not expecting too much.

I know Casa Totti is a pension more than even a B&B but someone should teach her to at least make coffee, plus how to put out a simple continental breakfast that has at least some appeal. When you are at one of the four annex shared bath bedrooms two blocks up the street, it is really not worth the walk to start off with coffee that bad. Annex bedrooms on fourth floor are strictly basic, but not bad. Also a quite good restaurant across the street from annex rooms that is also fair in price as Rome goes. Location from main rail terminal is quite good.

It's really ideal, if you come to visit Rom and to get around the city, even by foot. It's 10 minute near the Main Railway station and Metro Station, thenn you could get by foot in about 15 min walk to Colosseum. I will advise it for young couples, people who travel alone. We will enjoy the breakfast in a nice garden and you feel nice with the service. It's clean and quite cheap comparing with other expensive and dirty hotels of Rom.

When we got to the indicated adress, we had to walk to another house on the same street with the owner and were shown a nice and big room. The owner doesn't speak any English, but up to then everything was ok. But then she came back, "threw" us out of the room which was obviously reserved for somebody else staying longer than we did. Since she didn't speak any English we couldn't communicate with her about this. We were then shown a very small and shabby room with 2 beds above each other and had the choice to stay or to go out at 9 p.m. an look for a new room in another B&B. So we stayed, but I would NEVER go back to this place nor recommend it to other travellers. This is not the way travellers should be treated I think!

Kind hostess, but tends to hover over you when you're eating breakfast. Breakfast consisted of lots of different types of bread with butter, jam, some soft apples, and average coffee - no protein, no cheeses, no good quality fruit. Bathroom was not attached to our room, which was not communicated to us. Had to walk through "public" hallway to the bathroom, which had a TINY shower. No A/C or fans & couldn't open windows. Overall, it served its purpose, a clean comfortable place to sleep that was centrally located.

The woman in charge for me was like a mother, very sweet and helpful. The place is close to the station of Termini where you can get buses, trains, and metro to everywhere.I forgot to say that the place is at the end of street which makes it really quite. Nice terrace outside. If you like to walk like me you can even walk to all places. Rome is very walkable, and nice to do it and discover places and meeting people. So the experience at Totti was really wonderful and convenient for me (there are internet cafes close by and at least a good and cheap pizzeria/trattoria, and a bakery/gelateria too!)

Mama Totti was very friendly, though she didn't speak very much English. She is very proud of her morning coffee- as she should be- it was very good in strong Italian-style. And we had some delightful conversation with other travelers at breakfast time as well. Though the area was not the best at night, it was ideal in the morning and when we arrived, being right near the train station: the metro was 5 minutes away. Close to the Borghese Villa and Trevi fountain. For it's central location, a very good deal.

The “C. T. ”’s location is perfect, less then 5 minutes from the Termini station, and the street is quiet and safe. My room was small, but with toilet and shower- I need nothing more. It was a bit noisy though. But all together- the location, helpful owner, clean room, fresh bed linens and towels and last but not least the rate- made it a perfect stay. The only thing that could be done better- the map of the property and the description how to get there. It was my first trip to Rome and I definitely would stay there next time; and have recommended this place already to my friends.

Spent a night there. The houseowner is nice, but the room was in the basement, and water was leaking inside, since it was raining. The breakfast was so so. There are couple of small eat out places outside, but since its close to the termini stop its a good location to move around. I would recommend this place, if you are looking a place just to crash in the night and spend the days outside travelling.

We were in Rome for 2 days and loved the experience. The staff was excellent. There was one English speaking person, so that was helpful. Mrs. Totti was very kind and we were always able to communicate. For the price, this was an excellent choice. It was very close to all the transportation. 2 things that could be improved. The directions were not very good. We ended up paying a taxi for a 5 min. walk. The breakfast was a bit disappointing to Americans. Just to have toast and biscuit things and coffee and juice. How about some fresh fruit. Hard boiled eggs would be great. But we would choose this place again if we stayed in Rome. The private bathrooms were great. Something my husband insisted upon. Thank you Marcia Weeks

The room was in the basement, i.e. mould on the wands and very humid (therefore 1 at cleanliness of the room, wihout mould it would be a 7). Rest o.k. for the price.

Would defo recommend this. A fab location for price and the lady that owns it is a real character. She makes a great breakfast which you eat in her garden. She also has a cute cat called Kiki, though he doesnt like bread and jam. Saying that, he finished off my milk in no time...Enjoy your stay!

I was extremely unsatisfied with my room in the BASEMent, cold, moist with creeping things on the wall, not the room I saw on the picture, and the room you wanted on your 60 years travel. The other rooms were fine and costed the same. That is very bad, indeed, and I got a severe cold.

We stayed in a room with private toilet, but the space of room is still very large. Ms. Totti is very nice, served our early breadfast so that we can go to Vatican earlier. I will stay in A Casa Totti if I return to Rome! Remember to call to the B&B to confirm your check-in time.

Mrs. Totti was so nice. I was disappointed when we didn't get a bathroom in our room and I'm sure I booked that room. I wrote out my directions from the train. But you should print out the map. There is no outside sign, you have to find the name on the wall and buzz. There is a grocery store on the same street and you can save money by buying water there.

The location was the best - close to the train/bus station (5 min. walk), and central to getting anywhere in Rome on foot or bus. Good restaurants within a block. Breakfast was packaged pastries, but fruit was provided as per our request. The owner was most accommodating and welcoming. Shower facility could use some improvement.

Senora Totti was extremely hospitable. She treated us very well. It saeemed more like we were guests in her home and she had the best beds we stayed in. We actually liked it better at A Casa Totti than in the much more expensive five star hotel we stayed in in Capri.

The best thing about this clean, spacious B&B is its location. Really close to Termini, but really quiet as well! The owner's English is not so good, however, so it helps if you speak even a little Italian.

Easy to find, in a very nice area though close to Termini. Mrs. Totti provided a warm welcome (Italian only!) and helping hand anytime. Unfortunately, the single cellar room was moist and loud (heard toilets flushing all time). An external door was unlockable (felt safe though). I'd recommend the B&B to couples, not to single traveller.
