We loved Casa Serafina! Clean, very secure and good wifi. So close to Termini Station. Not the prettiest neighborhood in Rome, but it has its charms. Lovely host who makes amazing coffee- thank you! Even got a packed breakfast for our early departure. Felt like we were staying at the home of a relative. Would recommend and would certainly return.

We arrived here after exceptional b&bs outside Rome ,for our final night in Italy and to be honest the experience was really BAD. We were greeted and immediately told our room was needed at 8.30a.m the following morning....we would have refused but it was late evening and were too tired to risk walking the streets. (although I pointed out that 12noon was the norm, and 10a.m would be exceptional.) The toilet was a saniflow, other bathrooms flushed through the night, the net curtains fell off there pole, the bed was uncomfortable. The breakfast was rubbish. Packeted oversweet pastries , unapetising, and we went out after leaving for a decent one. My bad review leaves me with a feeling of guilt,as the owner was presumably a widow with her middle-aged daughter, running the place as if in the 1950's , and just not up to scratch (or price) in any way.I would never return and left feeling very upset.

We could not get anyone to clean our room, even after leaving a translated note for the staff. The most they ever did was make the bed, no emptying of trash or cleaning the toilet (which was dirty when we arrived. Otherwise the staff was friendly and helpful. Communication is difficult since we didn't speak Italian.

Everything was all right, I hope to come back. PS I do not comme from Egypt, but from Paris!!! It's a mistake, change it please! Thanks. Agnès Meyer

This was not a B&B. We had the bed, which was comfortable, but no breakfast was served! When we checked in, Serafina's daughter, who does not speak a word of English (no biggie. We were in Italy after all), gave us coupons for a pastry and cappucino at a place a couple of blocks away. The reason we picked this place to stay was that breakfast was supposed to be served. There were barking dogs in the apartment next door. We were across a courtyard from other apartments and a restaurant on the bottom floor. It was pretty loud. The train station is one block away form this B&B, so it is not the best part of town, but there were many sidewalk restaurants very close by. Also, transportation around this location is very good. The train station is close, busses are close, and the metro station is just a couple of blocks away.

Staff not English-speaking, which is a problem to overcome. Key problems with entering premises, which was annoyable, No water mid-afternoon; one room had no water in the morning, which is not acceptable. Location is good, close to Termini and central bus Piazza Cinquecento. And it is NOT a dangerous area.

We enjoyed our staying there but one thing needs to be mentioned. The room was nice, clean and spacious but the bathroom should be cleaned more thoroughly before the newcomers. The bathtowels and bed linen are changed as promised and the breakfast is of no disappointment. The hostess is really good, I'm sure she tries her best to understand your needs. Wi-fi would be of a good advantage as well as some worldwide TV channels. Our room window was facing the street and it was rather noisy inside at night but since we came for sightseeing and spent too much time walking we did not pay much attention to that fact (we were too exhausted). One could definitely stay there for a few nights when in Rome.

We were really surprised at this hotel based on the recommendations written in the reviews. The hotel was near the train station and there was an elevator to the 3rd floor and those are the best things I can say about it. There was no sign on the outside, so we walked passed it a couple of times before we found it. It seems to be a converted apartment with 2 rooms to let. The water glass in the bathroom wasn't clean. They didn't start serving breakfast until 8:00 and we had an earlier flight so she brought by a sack with prepackaged rolls and juice boxes to take with us. She did call a cab which was very nice. I probably wouldn't have been so disappointed except for all the good reviews that I read before booking this hotel. No English spoken, so if you don't have any Italian you should look elsewhere. After we checked in, there wasn't anyone avaiable to answer questions etc.

The best part of Casa Serafina is it's location, very close to Roma termini. My only challenge was to speak to the hosts as Serafina and their family only speak Italian. I had reached Rome at 9 pm and by the time I reached the B&B it was 10. As they only speak Italian it was very hard for me to convey the message that I would be late. As far as the B&B goes, Serafina is a very nice lady and the rooms are very spacious and airy. The locality is quite commercial and its like any area close to the main railway station. But overall my stay was very peaceful and nice specially after I managed to get into the B&B after my Italian language struggle.

very convenient to the termini. our room was quiet although other guests said their room wasn't so quiet. keys to access hotel are a bit tricky to use. breakfast was typical italian breakfast: yogurt, sweet breads and not very good coffee and hot milk. cornflakes were available, but only with hot milk. we stayed 2 nites, and sheets and towels were not changed. we had to leave very early the second day and staff left a "take out" breakfast on our door of sweet bread and boxed juice.

We had a double with private bathroom. The room was at the back of the property so was very quiet. we arrived in Rome after the 10pm check in time but there was still someone to meet us and help us settle in. There is a small lift . The breakfast was very simple and served in a small kitchen. We paid 70 euros for the night and got exactly what we needed for our one night stay as we were moving on to Umbria the next day. I would recommend Casa Serafina for anyone looking for an overnight near the station and would definitely use it again even for a longer stay as there is good access to all forms of public transport.

we had a really great stay at Casa Serafina! we went during July, so prices were high considering what you actually got in the hotel, but that's to be expected. as others have said, the owners speak NO english whatsoever, so communication was interesting, but the family was extremely nice and helpful nonetheless. very close to the train station, which is a definite plus if you're walking with bags and if you want to use the metro. we walked everywhere, though, and nothing was too far (as long as you don't mind walking a lot!)

The most pleasant part of our stay at Serafina's was Serafina herself (the owner/operator of the establishment). She was friendly, pleasant, and informative regarding access and method of travel in Rome. The room was clean, pleasant, and comfortable and adequately roomy to spend the night. Breakfast was continental, adequate, but especially pleasant with Serafina. Note that when staying in one's home, the impression you get is often related to the impression you give. When in Rome, we would definitely return to Serafina's.

We were at zia Serafina's ( that's her name)twice and just booked for an other daughter that stayed there on the way out of town. The lady owner and her family are very very nice. They live in the same building but not in the B&B. My Italian is good so there were no problems of communications. (Serafina doesn't speak english but I'm sure she get by better than she claims.) In fact one of my grand daughters had a health problem and the Pharmcacy and possible Drs. were referred immediately. The address is about 3 short blocks from the Rome Central train station. I am 81 yrs.old and walked back and forth to the many restaurants in the area and to the large shopping center in the basement of the train station. It is a busy neighborhood, the traffic is pretty heavy but the block is between two traffic lights. If I ever go back through Rome, I hope I can stay there again. There is an elevator and our room for 3 had a private bath with shower and good size terry towels.(Thin linen towels are popular and maybe pretty but do not go far for drying more than hands and face.) Public transportation and tour buses can be found at the train station.

We had a very comfortable stay at Casa Serafina. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The B&B is very close to the Termini Station (central railway station), about five minutes walking distance, in an asian quarter. The breakfast was typically italian, pretty basic (coffee/tea, milk, juice, jogurt, packed cornetti and corn flakes). The room was quite clean and with private bathroom. It had air conditioning and digital TV. Our room was on the street side so it was a bit noisy but not a real problem. The only problem was the check-in. We tried to reach the owners by phone many times after we arrived in Rome to announce our arrival but nobody answered. We were a bit worried that nobody would be at the B&B to welcome us. But as we arrived to the B&B, the owner was already waiting. Fortunately, it went well.

Excellent choice if you need a spacious, clean, nice looking room with a new and big bathroom nearby Termini station (500m from main entrance) for a very good price. The owners are very nice but be aware that they only speak italian... I gave ony 6 Points for public areas, the service and the employees, because actually there are no public areas (only a small kitchen where a very basic breakfast ist served - coffee/tea, Juice, jogurt, cornetti), and no employees and no serive - its a small family owend B&B! The area around Termini is the best location in Rome if you want to visit the main attractions because you can reach everything easily by foot, train or bus and its also not complicated on the way back. There many shops at the termine station (open all week), many restaurants are also in this area, especially in the Via Amado, 300 m away from the B&B

The nicest thing in Casa Serafina is... Serafina! She's a very nice host. She greets you as if you were someone of her family. Fortunately for us, I understand and speak Italian, otherwise it's quite difficult to communicate with Serafina as she speaks only Italian. The room and the house were very clean and as we were the only people there during our stay, we had the impression that we were home. It's a good quality price. The only problems are the surroundings, not very attractive and noisy (though it's practical to be near Termini when you arrive late night) and the other problem is the breakfast that was not that good. But we enjoyed our stay in Roma thanks to Serafina.

It's worth every penny paid. Really clean, rooms are spacious. Don't expect too much, it's not a luxury hotel but you'll find all basics. If it's just cleanliness, hospitaliy, a nice breakfast and a good location then this is the place. It's on the third floor of an apartment block, 5 mins walking distance to Termini. You get a key of the apartment and your room and be a real tenant during your stay, by locking the doors and turning off the lights before you go to bed :) Mrs. Serafina is one of the most friendly and hospitable person I've ever seen in a hotel. Even though she doesn't speak a word of english, she manages to communicate with you and gives you the best service. Breakfast is more than enough with lots of variaties for all tastes. Wouldn't stay anywhere else than B&B Serafina next time I go to Rome. Just a quick note, be sure to agree on your arrival time, since Mrs. Serafina is not leaving in that apartment and there's no reception. She waits for the guests on the time of arrival, so if you don't agre on the time, you might wait a bit on the door, ringing the bell :)

The room/bathroom are clean and pleasant to the eye, the breakfast is filling and generous served by the hostess herself with courtesy and cheer. Although the road outside and the ground level hall inside the building seem a bit depressing, dont get discouraged, the B & B itself seems to belong to a better place, you will be rewarded when you get there (third floor). We found the B & B easily from the instructions, but if anyone gets confused, its on the right side of the road walking towards Via Cavour. Outside the entrance, there is a yellow sign for a shop that says 'Lotto'. We found this a bit of a beacon to find it easily in the dark!! We loved the restaurants on the same side of the road walking towards Via Cavour, especially the first one along this route (a corner one), we found the touristic menu a good value for money around the city and the food there was fantastic. We stayed for 4 days and the hotel setting was perfect, we visited all the major sites within walking distance (we took a metro only for the Vatican). The stazione Termini is just one block away from the rooms. It was a nightmare to find a ticket booth so here is a tip, find a newspaper/tobacco stand in there to sell you metro tickets. Also, best to buy both outward and return train tickets on the Leonardo Express at the airport when you arrive (11 eur ea) as to avoid looking for tickets for the return trip from Termini. All tickets must be validated at machines. My husband and I are in our mid 40's and this B & B was ideal for us, there was a spare single bed in the room so a couple with a child could also benefit.

Really good value B&B. Heartwarming family. Approx 10 minutes' walk with big laggage from Termini station. Clean, quiet and beautifully renovated room with TV & fridge, almost like 3 star hotels. Complimentary bottles of mineral water & packs of juice in the fridge are owner's kind hospitality. One small problem is that they do not speak English, but their hospitality overcomes the language barrier.

Had only slight problem with finding Casa Serafina. Should mention cross street between Via Alfredo Cappellini and Via Rattazzi to avoid confusion. Look for Tabacci sign. Area was noisy at night. Water pump makes loud noise. Breakfast could have included some fresh fruit. Serafina was very nice and accomodating. Made us sack breakfast on our last day to take with us as our departure was early.

The hotel is located in a China town. The hotel owner was very nice and the room was claen. However, she can't speak english at all, so it's diffcult to have a conversation. Except this, I think this hotel will be a good choice for young couple to have a short stay in Rome.

Location is close to train station. A bit difficult to find as it is located on the 3rd floor of a residental building without obvious sign. The room is spacious and spotless clean. There are total of 3 rooms and all of them are all very clean. The first B&B I come up with a fridge and safety box in the room (Frankly, you'll feel like staying in a 3/4 stars hotel room). The owner is living in the same place. They are very nice, however, speak no English. Occation noise from the street. Noise also come from the water pump every time you use water in the toilet (including shower, flush and tap). In such a big city, with good location and cleanliess, you will get your money worth.

Very friendly people and eager to please. The hostess's English was quite limited but she had an English/Italian dictionary available. Beautiful rooms and very clean. Lovely breakfast. The street is a bit grubby but we felt safe and it is only a ten minute walk from the train terminal.

ENJOYED STAY AT CASA F WHICH IS A PRETTY B&B, ESP THE GARDEN WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT TO HAVE BFT BUT IT WAS A WET MORNING. wHAT WAS DISAPPOINTING WAS WRONG AND INACCURATE DIRECTIONS GIVEN WHICH RESULTED IN WASTING HALF HOUR AND HAVING TO ASK SEVERAL PEOPLE. tHE ACTUAL ADDRESS OF B&B WAS NOT THE ONE GIVEN IN DIRECTIONS. PLS CORRECT THIS SO FUTURE LODGERS WILL NOT EXPERIENCE FRUSTRATION. OTHERWISE A LOVELY AND CONVENIENT LOCATION.

I absolutley recommend this B&B, the structure's been reorganized and it's modern, similar to a 3 star hotel with a good relationship price/quality: our room was silent, big and clean, like the bathroom. The hospitality of Mrs Serafina is really warm. The location is great, 5 min by walk from Roma Termini Station and the first bus/metro station for all the most important monuments of the center. I advise this B&B to people that want to visit Rome without car, moving by walk or public lines.

Superb Bed&Breakfast. Perfect place for a city break on a lower budget. The Hosts are really nice and made my parents' stay a special one. Safe, central, clean and very appropriate for the price. Would definitely stay there again. Do not mistake it with a fancy hotel, but it has all the necessary basics for a trip that is more about sightseeing rather than staying inside. Very good value bed & breakfast place. Would recommend.

The location of the Hotel is wonderful because you can go walking to nearly every place and the train and underground is nearby, just4 minutes. Serafina and her sister are really warm and welcoming making your stay very confortable. The last day when we came back to pick up our luggage they invite us to a coffee with biscuits. Really nice
