Cà dei Lisci B&B:
Originally established in the early 1960s in the heart of the village, these lodgings were renovated and re-opened in 2004. They are our most recently acquired rooms and have allowed us to bridge the gap between our various accommodations, providing an economical but at the same time pleasant option, with quiet rooms situated in the center of town. Each room can accommodate up to 3 people and is equipped with a bathroom with shower. The price includes linens, towels and final maid service. "Hotel Service", which includes breakfast and daily maid service, is also available for an additional sum.
Only our reception is located at 36 Via Colombo. The rooms are situated in various other locations throughout town.

The people in the hotel was very friendly and the room was clean. Our room had a nice view to the church. Maybe the breakfast could be better.

This B&B is managed by a property management company, whose address is the only one given, so you don't really know where you are going to be staying. Riomaggiore isn't that big so it's not really a problem. Our room was about 10 minutes walk from the registration office and up some steep stairs. We had a car and parking is available at an extra cost - book when booking the room as there aren't that many spaces. Bathroom was tight but adequate for us. I don't think the air conditioning was working, but it was late September and we didn't really need it. I think you probably would in summer though. Breakfast was near the registration office, so about a 10 minute walk from the room. It was served starting at 8 a.m. which we found to be a little late, as we like to get an early start. The room was fine, but on the expensive side for what you get. Probably par for the Cinque Terre though.

Whilst the room was clean there was a strong grey water odour, we suspect the retrofitted shower did not have an s trap. The numerous air fresheners supplied did little to help. The stairs were a challenge. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast lady very pleasant. Cinque Terre is a delightful place to visit.

Riiomaggiore is a magical place, and it counter balanced our stay. Upon arrival at Ca' Dei lischi we were told we were too early and asked to take a seat. It felt like were were a big inconvenience. We listened to the owner talking to another couple on the phone in a survly and cendescending manner which was uncomfortable to listen to. When we finally got our room, the owner told is "come on girls, lets go" Being 62 and 63 year old women we found this a bit inappropriate. When we reached the place where we were staying (a five minute walk back down the hill) it was a tiny hallway entrance with a chain pully to pull luggage up. Reasonably fit, we hauled our luggage up three flights by ourselves, and when the owner helped me lift one of the suitcases, she asked me" what do you girls put into these bags?" Since each of us had a carryon size suitcase and a tote, we were not traveling heavy, at all. And instead of asking how she might help us, again we felt just taking our time on the steps carefully was some sort of burden. The best part of our stay was the small breakfast area down a winding street...served by an employee who was always courteous and upbeat. Not a nice experience at the B. and B. Loved Cinque Terre but... there are so many places to choose from in this town and when I come back I will be finding other accomodations.Being polite is not that difficult and feeling indifference and irritability from your hosts in a tourist town just doesn't add up in these days of trip advisor and traveler ratings being so accessible.

Old, few small stairs (what in cause of fire?). Owner had to lift up the rooms and furniture. Noisy from the people who walked behind at nights. Not a good place.

Wonderful quiet double room with private bath located in the back of an old building. We were able to use the balcony in the front overlooking the main pedestrian way. This was a great vantage point for enjoying a glass of wine and people watching.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and our room was nice. From what I can tell, Ca' dei Lisci rents out rooms in other hotels. The reception is the same as for Ca' dei Duxi - I am not sure Ca' dei Lisci was even on the door. They then put us up a few doors down at Hotel La Zorza, which would have been 20 Euro more per night. Picky people lose a bit of control, but the Ca' dei Lisci folks are still accountable, accessible, and willing to accommodate. The calzone at the pizzeria across from the office is excellent.

The hotel is located in the city center, very easy to find The hotelkeepers are very nice, helping and friendly, even if langage might be a problem for non italian speakers... the breakfast is not magnificent but correct since included in the room rate We came in December and our only and main problem was heating, we spent two nights in a rather cold room...

How to find us: Upon exiting Riomaggiore's train station, turn right and take the tunnel. When you reach the other end, you will find yourself on the main street of the town, Via Colombo.
