Casa Beleza is an exclusive bed and breakfast in the heart of Santa Teresa, the charming historic neighbourhood close to Rio de Janeiro city centre. It occupies a historic house, former residence of Rio de Janeiro States's governor, restored to offer the maximum comfort. The establishment is environmentally friendly, as it uses solar energy to heat the water, and it is decorated using recycled materials.
Its excellent situation makes the bed&breakfast an ideal accommodation for those who want to live the amazing city of Rio de Janeiro, as major landmarks are easily reachable from there. You will be able to enjoy Santa Teresa's bars, restaurants and cultural life, as well as Lapa's nightclubs, Samba venues and beautiful streets of colonial Rio. Moreover, world famous Ipanema and Copacabana Beaches, as well as Christ the Redeemer Statue are just a ride away from the establishment.

There are 3 rooms at the Casa Beleza, we stayed in the large room upstairs. It is only accessible by a small spiral staircase. The whole property is beautiful and it served as a wonderful escape at the end of the day after enjoying the sights and sounds of Rio all day. The Casa Beleza was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We were able to walk to restaurants and bars each night within the neighborhood. If you want to be downtown by the beach with lots of nightlife, then this is not the right place. However, if you prefer a serene getaway, then it's perfect.

Our stay at Casa Beleza was short, but wonderful. Bindu made us feel very welcome. Our room was clean, comfortable and architecturally interesting. A delicious Brazilian style breakfast served by the pool in the morning. Unfortunately due to a knee injury we weren't able to explore Santa Theresa on foot as planned. However, Bindu arranged for an English speaking driver to take us for a tour of Rio by car before dropping us at the airport to head home.
