Bed and Breakfast Relais Chiara e Lorenzo - Rignano sull'Arno

La strada per arrivare all'agrituruismo era sterrata, impraticabile (buche, sassi, da fuoristrada) e completamente buia, priva di indicazioni, e molto lunga (sarebbe stato impossibile arrivarci con una macchina nosrmale in caso di pioggia). La stanza spartana (ma non è un problema) era gelida (i termosifoni erano spenti): solo 2 su 3 siamo state dotate di scaldasonno, ma il freddo alla testa è stato davvero disagevole. Non lo consiglierei, almeno d'inverno.

Difficile da raggiungere in quanto non ci sono le corrette indicazioni e spese tre telefonate con il cellulare per arrivare. Colazione con poca scelta di prodotti. Prezzo troppo alto rispetto alla qualita' del servizio offerto. La colazione (5 EUR a testa per quattro) avrebbe dovuto essere compresa nel prezzo della camera per raggiungere il minimo di accettazione.

Lovely place but be sure to bring a detailed map of Tuscany with all the small roads and the village of Tori. Excellent location if u want to go to the mall, see Florence yet be in the country side out from the city. The host Alberto was so kind to cook us dinner when we arrived late in the evening

This was a very beautiful stay in a charming, well-restored old farmer's house with very kind people. We do not agree with former reviewers about the complicated way to find the house - on the contrary: it was well described, with road signs on every turn-off. The room was large and beautiful, the bath spacious and lovingly restored. Overall, this was an excellent stay on the country-side of the Fiorentinean area.

This Bed and Breakfast was great. We were only there for one night but we really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and the view from the yard was amazing. The breakfast was continental and very nice. They also offer a great dinner for a price of about 30 euros per person. We had a dificult time finding the place by car. We had to drive up into the hills on narrow steep roads. The signs were a little confusing. The place is in Torri which I believe is a section of Rignano sull'arno. I advice anyone driving up there for the first time to go during daylight because it will be almost impossible to find at night.

There are B&B we would recommend to our friends and those we wouldn't. This one falls within the second category. Private road from the main road to the house in poor condition. Lot of ants in the room; welcoming and relation with the owner not better than polite; we stayed there for 2 nights and no one ever came during breakfast (basic - everything is put on the table before you arrived) to find out if it was OK or if we had special need (ex.: tea instead of coffee).We were a month in Italy and this B&B is on all aspects the less interesting we had .

My family of 5 stayed at Relais Chiara e Lorenzo for 3 nights. This was unfortunate. We were cold, cold, cold, all the time. My makeup froze. The showers were infrequently warm and mostly cold. Our most expensive meal in Italy, and the poorest value, was in Relais Chiara e Lorenzo. It was $25 Euros EACH. We had driven all day and finally arrived at about 7:30pm and were asked immediately if we wanted dinner. We said yes. I know, we should have asked the cost beforehand ! 2 of my children do not eat meat, so for $25 Euros each they got a small plate of spaghetti, a handful of peas and some dessert. The meal sizes for the rest of us were also tiny. My children had to snack in the room after dinner they were so hungry. Also, against advertised venere.com policy it appears that our credit card was debited for a deposit when we booked online - only to find that when we returned home we were actually charged twice for the deposit so then had the nonsense of reversing a charge as well. We would definitely not stay there again and would recommend anyone considering this property to find alternate accomodations.

Alberto went out of his way to fix a late nite meal for weary travelers arriving late. Great friendly atmosphere. Could have used a better map. Overall Excellent.
