We were running late because of traffic issues in Florence. When we got a hold of their number, we called right away. This was at 21:30. They answered the phone but said that they could do nothing to help us since they closed check-in at 21:00 and for a small city like Radda in Chianti, I think they should be able to go back to the hotel to receive guests arriving late. Long story short, we parked our car in the city and slept in it + the hotel charged us the full amount of the stay, and didn't even offer us to at least come in the morning when they opened again to shower and eat breakfast! The service here is definitely not to be recommended! In comparison, we stayed at another B&B in Pisa some days after, which said they usually receive guests until midnight or 1am.

The Hotel and its surroundings, people working there - their hospitality, politeness and friendship - were just fantastic. We had wounderfull there and strongly recommend Elio Pistolesi Hotels to everyone. Between all location we went to during our Tuscun Holidays - the one in Radda was the best. Thank you ones again for grat stay.

We chose Elio Pistolesi from the website as a "farmstay" - but this is not an accurate description at all! It is a series of rooms upstairs above the main street of a lovely little medieval hill village in Tuscany, so suggest its category & description be reviewed. There were no "public areas". The mother of the owner sat at the foot of the stairs and welcomed guests - but spoke only Italian, and seemed slightly confused over details, asking the same questions of us each day of the 3 we were there (e.g. which room we were in, and for how many nights)The owner was accessed by phone, and did speak English - and to pay our account he had to be contacted & come to Radda for that purpose. We loved Radda as a town, and it made for an ideal base for exploring parts of Tuscany - but we felt that the room was over-priced for the level of service & quality of facilities offered. Breakfast not provided here.

Un ottimo rapporto qualita' prezzo. La stanza era forse un po' piccola, ma il bagno era molto grande.

We stayed downtown in a hotel, and it paled in comparison to the other farm homes we stayed at in the countryside outside of the towns. It was very difficult finding the location of the place we were told to go, and the individual spoke very, very little English. We asked about a "farm home" versus this downtown hotel and she had no idea what we were talking about. Since we saw the site that was photographed, we had no choice but to assume this was the correct place. We went to dinner and the lady "attendant" had left for the day when we came back. This could have been a problem but I vaguely recall her showing me that there was a back entrance.

The previous guest did'nt leave our room on time so we've been moved to PODERE LE VIGNE ( in Radda in Chianti), at the same price. This hotel relais has the same property than Elio Pistolesi. The owner was very kind and we actually had a better treatment for a lower price.

An old woman took care of this "hotel", she seemed to be too old and too confused to take care of this business. She didn't remember from one minute to another what she'd told us. The so called reception was "a hole in the wall", the payment receipt was something written in Italian on a litte piece of paper, we didn't know if it was confirmation of our payment for the room or not. This "hotel" can only be recommended to back packers with no demand for comfort at all. Although the price was not that high we think it was too high for what we got. But Radda in Chianti was a nice and cute little village so we can recommend that place, but please stay somewhere else.

Difficult to find - no proper signage. Very friendly consierge, but unfortunately she spoke no English, and my Italian is poor, but she made me feel very welcome. My only problem was the noise of the delivery trucks at about 5am every morning. I would definitely use this hotel again. Very central.

This hotel provides the perfect stay in a perfect Tuscan village. We were made very welcome and provided with clean and spacious rooms with comfortable beds and ensuite. The lady looking after the place is friendly and motherly, although my Italian was unfortunately not quite up to standard to understand everything she said. Leonardo, however, converses in excellent English, coming to the rescue if needed. I would not hesitate is saying that this hotel represents very good value for money and would stay here again in travelling in the area.

It's in a beautiful town. Ther is a old woman who give you keys and you have freedom to do what do you want. If you ask for a swimmingpool, because the weather is so warm, you can go free in another house where there is a small but very nice swimmingpool, just to be Elio Pistolesi costumer.

Dark, dungy, old building. No heat, no hot water, no staff to talk to, no phone to call, no coffee or any other service. Cheap enough to stay at the hotel just up the street. Radda is a beautiful, small old midevil city, but this accomodation was poor. Cash only leaves no room for dispute or recompensation.

Probably good value considering the location, but: - room didn't seem very clean. NOt sure if sheets were clean and towels definately weren't. - you had to leave your passport which wasn't secure. Just behind a desk at an open door that is not always manned. - it was hard to find a person when checking in.

The city is small but has everything in it, internet, resturantes, food shops, wineries and an incredible view. The room is good for when it's not hot, but there is some noise from the main street and of the bells of a church. There is hot water and the room is kept clean and in order by a very nice old lady. I enjoyed my stay and also it wasn't to expensive.

The room was very hot with no fans. It was very difficult to sleep. A somewhat uncomfortable stay. I missed my bus the morning I had to leave, because I could not find the manager to check out. I would not return to this hotel.
