Welcome to B&B Tra I Frutti, a big Sicilian country house with swimming pool, at 15 minutes to the Valley of the Temples, in an area that lies between the fresh hills and the sea, set amid olive trees, citrus groves and vineyards, a unique place where you can relish the fragrance of almond flowers.

We welcome you amid the fruit and to the countryside, where the weary traveller can rest and unwind after a sunlit day spent discovering beaches, hamlets perched beneath imposing towers, timeworn churches, winding country roads and mountain pathways.

Welcome to this land, immersed in silence, where you will be quite amazed at how many places there are to be explored, places known only to the few, each shrouded in its own age-old history and secrets, places awaiting to be revealed to curious eyes.
You may choose to spend your days in our recently-built country villa or in the old, refurbished country house with its stone walls.
The veranda overlooks the swimming pool and hammock space, these are ideal places where you can freshen up, sunbathe, unwind, chat or simply meditate. The gardens surrounding the living area is a sizeable 12.000 acres where you can leisurely stroll amid trees and plants bearing a wide variety of fruit: figs, prickly pears, lemons, oranges, almonds, mulberries , apples, pears, cherries, apricots and many others. From our vineyard, olive trees and orchard we provide our guests at meals with homemade wine, olive-oil and a choice selection of vegetables, tomatoes, peppers, egg-plants, onions, melons,lettuce, cucumbers, pumpkins, courgettes,potatoes, peas, and beans.

How to reach Tra i Frutti Bed and Breakfast

By car
Agrigento lies along the south coast of Sicily, connected to the rest of the island by an extensive network of streets and by rail. B&B Tra I Frutti is very easy and quick to reach taking the highway SS 640 from Agrigento or from Caltanisetta that is the exit of the motorway A19 (Catania-Palermo).

From Catania take the Autostrada A19 for Palermo and take the Caltanissetta exit. Continue on Statale 640 until and follow the sign Agrigento. After 35 km you meet at your right the trade center "Centro commerciale le vigne" and the first sign for Racalmuto. Don't take it, but follow Agrigento till you reach the second exit for Racalmuto (called "Castrofilippo”) at the 26 Kilometre of the SS640. The right exit is temporary closed so continue till the ESSO gasoline area you see after 500 mt on your left, enter there and take again the highway in Caltanisstta direction, after 500 metres take on your right the exit Castrofilppo. Follow the signal “bed & breakfast” and you will arrive.

From Palermo take the Autostrada A19 toward Catania and take the Caltanissetta exit. Continue right on SS 640 for Agrigento. After few kilometres on your left you see the signs Racalmuto/Grotte. Don’t follow this signs and continue toward Caltanissetta.Follow the way and the yellow signs for Caltanissetta/Canicattì. So after few kilometers you have to turn left always following Caltanissetta/Canicattì signs (and not to go straight ahead in Favara town). Drive till you enter again in the SS640. When you are in the SS640 you meet a first exit for Racalmuto. You have not to exit form the SS640 but to continue until you reach the second exit for Racalmuto (called “ Castrofilippo”) at the 25 Kilometre of the SS640, where you can find the signal “bed & breakfast”. Follow it and you will arrive at B&B Tra i Frutti.From Trapani follow the coastal route on SS 115 via Sciacca until you reach Porto Empedocle. After Porto Empedocle you have to turn right and to follow the sign Agrigento/Villa Seta/Casa di Pirandello; continue for few hundred metres and at the traffic light turn right toward Agrigento/Ospedale. After 1 km turn right and follow the sign Palermo/Raffadali/Spinasanto. Continue straight on toward Palermo and follow the signs Palermo/Caltanissetta you will find before on your left and after on your right. You will take SS 189 toward Palermo/Caltanissetta/Canicattì continue for few Km and take the exit on the right Caltanissetta/Canicattì. On your left you see the signs Racalmuto/Grotte. Don’t follow this signs and continue toward Caltanissetta. Take the exit Caltanissetta and drive toward Caltanissetta (you must not follow the signs Racalmuto/Grotte). Follow the way and always the yellow signs for Caltanissetta/Canicattì. So after few kilometers you have to turn left always following Caltanissetta/Canicattì signs (and not to go straight ahead in Favara town). Drive till you enter again in the SS640. When you are in the SS640 you meet a first exit for Racalmuto. You have not to exit form the SS640 but to continue until you reach the second exit for Racalmuto (called “ Castrofilippo”) at the 25 Kilometre of the SS640, where you can find the signal “bed & breakfast”. Follow it and you will arrive at B&B Tra i Frutti.

From Siracusa follow the coastal route on SS 115 via Noto, Rgusa and Gela until you reach Agrigento.

From Agrigento take the highway SS 640 toward Caltanissetta. In these days there are some works in progress on the SS 640. Follow always Caltanissetta signs, no other ones! So after few kilometers they ask you to exit from SS640 and to take the highway SS 189 towards Palermo/Caltanissetta. Take the exit Caltanissetta and drive toward Caltanissetta (you must not follow the signs Racalmuto/Grotte). Follow the way and the yellow signs for Caltanissetta/Canicattì. So after few kilometers you have to turn left always following Caltanissetta/Canicattì signs( and not to go straight ahead in Favara town). Drive till you enter again in the SS640. When you are in the SS640 you meet a first exit for Racalmuto. You have not to exit form the SS640 but to continue until you reach the second exit for Racalmuto (called “ Castrofilippo”) at the 25 Kilometre of the SS640, where you can find the signal “bed & breakfast”. By train: Agrigento and Racalmuto have a train station, but except for Palermo (about 2 hours away), connections to other destinations in Sicily are scarce. If you are arriving from Taormina or Catania, you will have to change trains once or twice.

By airplane
Palermo Airport (PMO) offers direct flights from all major Italian airports, and low-cost connections with European cities such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Köln, London, and others. From the airport, the shuttle train "Trinacria Express" leaves about every half hour from Palermo Central Station, with many trains going to Agrigento (about a 2 hour trip). There is also a bus service which runs from the airport directly to Agrigento, operated by SAL. An alternative is the International Airport of Catania (CTA) which offers connections with all the major Italian and European airports, including all the capital cities. SAIS Trasporti operates a bus service running directly from the airport to Agrigento (about a 2.5 hour trip).

By public transportation
The best way to arrive and depart to and from Agrigento is by bus S.A.I.S. Trasporti Spa - Catania-Agrigento; Catania-Canicattì-Racalmuto; AST Azienda Siciliana Trasporti - Catania-Canicattì;Autoservizi Cuffaro - Palermo-Racalmuto; Palermo-Agrigento; Canicattì-Racalmuto.
