The B and B on the Hill is in an early 1970s house that was completely refurbished in 2010 for use as a bed and breakfast. Guests share use of the open-plan living area and a balcony with stunning views of the lake and mountains. Among the other guest facilities are a washing machine, a tumble dryer, and an iron and ironing board. Hairdryers are available upon request. The complimentary breakfast includes cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, croissants, bread, juice, and a selection of teas and coffee.

This bed and breakfast is located on a quiet street on the east side Queenstown. It’s far enough from the Queenstown nightlife to ensure a good night’s sleep, but if you want to experience the shops, restaurants, and pubs, you can walk to the centre of town in approx. 15 minutes. Horticulture fans shouldn’t miss the Queenstown Gardens jutting out into Lake Wakatipu. Other local attractions include the Skyline Gondola ride to the top of Bob's Peak, jet boat rides, the Frankton Golf Course, and the Queenstown Golf Course on the opposite side of Frankton Arm.

How to reach The B and B on the Hill Bed and Breakfast

By car
From Queenstown International Airport, Alexandra/Cromwell, or Invercargill: At the roundabout in Frankton (easily identified because there is a BP garage by it), take the 6A road signed Queenstown. After approx. 6 km/3.7 miles, you will pass a turn to Goldfield Heights on your right, shortly followed by the Rees Hotel and Apartments on your left. After the Rees Apartments, take the second right turn into Hensman Road. Take the first left off Hensman Road into Panorama Terrace. Follow this road, passing Wakatipu Heights on your right. Earnslaw Terrace is the next left turn, and the B and B on the Hill is on the right-hand corner as you turn in.
From Glenorchy: Drive through Queenstown, following the Frankton/Alexandra/Invercargill signs. At the top of a short hill, you will soon pass the Millennium Hotel on your left. Take Suburb Street, which is the third left turn after the hotel. Take the first right into Panorama Terrace. Earnslaw Terrace will be the first turn on your right. As you turn in, the B and B on the Hill is the house on the corner on your right.
