We were made very welcome and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Getting into the city was fairly easy by bus and if you like somewhere quiet in nice surroundings this would be ideal. We would certainly return. Jean and Mike Grundy

breakfast was good, but always the same; children missed chocolatemilk for drink. Several times there seemed absent while we were having breakfast, so it was not easy to ask more milk eg. Floor under the beds was dirty. Many steps to do. Not good for family with young children or elder people

the hotel offers simple accommodation and simple breakfast; it's really far and bad connected to the centre, pratically isolated in a suburb of the city; there are abot 40 steps to reach the main door of the hotel.

Service is good! Hotel room setting and surroundung is very nice too. Will go back to stay if there is opportunity.

A bit of a climb to get to the hotel and 20 minutes to get to and from town. Nice quiet area. Good breakfast. Receptionest Martina was very helpful. Good value for the money.

the hotel was nice and with a nice garden, but nobody was present in the reception, only the day of our arrival. The housekeeper spoke only language of the town. The breakfast room was closed as a glasshouse in the garden: sometimes too warm and around the nice fresh garden. Breakfast was not of very good quality. The position of hotel is really no near the center, but the public transport in Praga are exellent and not much trafic. In environs there are homes for students with a good pub for food and drinks, and not far a beautful park with Petrin tower, plays for children, astronomic observatory and funicolar for old town.

The desk clerk spoke excellent English and was extremely helpful in giving directions and information. The room looked like it had recently been redecorated and was very nice. Breakfast room looks out on a lovely garden. It was a little bit hard to find by car but once there not hard to get into Prague either by foot or public transportation.

Room Details
The guest house offers accommodation in 2, 3 and 4 bed rooms with own bathroom and its total capacity is 25-33 guests. The rooms are equipped with SAT-TV, radio, telephone and a safe.The rich breakfasts are served in the form of a buffet in the winter garden, which provides a fine view of the greenery. The garden is open for you also during the day and you can sit there with your friends.
Our staff is at your disposal 24 hrs a day. They will take care of your accommodation and will willingly provide you with information and advice about the history, culture, attractions, sports facilities, shopping or relaxation in Prague and will get you bus tickets for MHD (the integrated city transport network).

How to reach Pension Filip
By carFrom Pilsen – when you have left the highway, follow the signs towards the city centre, go past the Motol hospital and after 500 m turn right to the Břevnov field, then straight along the Podbělohorská street up to the T-junction, there turn left to the Pod stadiony Street. After circa 500 meters there is the Filip boarding house (on your left).
From Brno – drive on the circle line towards Smíchov, through the Mrázovka tunnel, through the Strahov tunnel and at the tunnel’s exit turn left (to the Patočkova Street), take the first left (Na Malovance Street), through Vaníčkova Street, drive around the Strahov Stadium, keep on the main road, go along the small bus station, drive straight through the next crossing (to the local road), 100 m from the crossing there is the Filip boarding house on your right.

From the Ruzyně International Airport:
Take bus 119 and get off at the terminus Dejvická. Through the subway underpass go to the opposite side and leave through the gate named “Suchdol”. There is a bus stop. Take bus 217 and get off at the stop “Hybšmanka”. The boarding house is right at this stop. The whole journey takes circa 40-45 minutes.
