Only a 5-minute walk down to Positano Beach, the Royal Prisco is one of the best bed and breakfasts in Positano. This Positano B&B is surrounded by narrow, flower-decked alleyways and there is a good selection of well-priced restaurants down on the beach. Do not worry about the journey back up the hill to the bed and breakfast, as there is a regular bus service, which also goes out out to Praiano and into the hinterland.
This newly built and family-run Positano bed and breakfast has established a great reputation for its high-quality accommodations, friendly and helpful staff that speak English and tasty free breakfast with lots of fresh fruit and home-baked croissants. If you are looking for a Positano luxury hotel alternative, then this b&b's deluxe rooms and suites are ideal.
The Royal Prisco Bed and Breakfast has an American-style bar and wireless internet access is available throughout. The B&B's staff will help you out with anything you need and can even stretch to organising excursions, car, scooter and boat rentals. Good location, great hospitality, gorgeous rooms and stunning views; all the ingredients your need for a superb holiday in Positano.

Hotel Reviews Royal Prisco

One word describes our stay at the Royal Prisco...Amazing! The trip to Positano and the stay at this hotel was the highlight of our trip. The property is family owned (Michelangelo & Maria) and they were the nicest, sweetest and helpful people. The room was amazing. The view from the room was just as I had seen on the Venere.com pictures. It was quite a trip to get to Positano since we caught some rain but this hotel made it all well worth it. The room was spacious, the bathroom was big and had a tub. It had a table and chairs inside and on the balcony if we wanted to have breakfast brought up which would only cost 5 euros. We went down for breakfast the next morning and the room was small but quaint and really nice. We had cereal, croissant and lattes. This was the best breakfast we had in Italy. The corn flakes and croissant tasted the way they do in the US not the way it tasted in all the other places in Italy (funky tasting cereal and sweet croissants). The hotel is very easy to find and it's close to the cute little shops and to the beach. It's near Piazza Mulini (about a 2 min walk from there up the hill). I can't say enough about this hotel because our stay was wonderful. My husband and I are very picky about where we stay and you know we loved this place to give it a 10 rating!

A lovely hotel run by a friendly family who were very helpful to us. Initially we would've preferred more of a view from our balcony, but we did have a view! Hotel (we thought we'd booked a B&B!) very central in a great position. We'd read about lots of fruit being available, but didn't see this. Would come again for sure.

Maria and her family were so friendly and helpful. Hotel located in perfect position, breakfast good and Royal Suite perfect for 2 couples.

air conditioning didn't work in the room on the first night so they changed us to a different room for the 2nd night. They had already been aware of the a/c problems in some of their rooms. The included breakfast was insufficient. No fruit at all and they gave a very small portion of cereal. The owners were very friendly and gracious.

Lovely room and view. Sitting on the balcony there was quite a lot of of traffic and building noise, but it was quiet at night. Charming owners, very helpful. Breakfast good, but tables a bit cramped

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff are terrific and the rooms very nice. The breakfast was very good also with fresh fruit, hot crossiants, yogurt, cereal.....whatever you wanted. This is a great location. Easy walking down to Positano and restaurants close to choose from. Parking garage right around the corner (although our car came out with a huge scratch about 10" long). I would stay here again if I went back.

THe hotel is family run and hosted by Maria, her brother MichelAngelo and their mother. Very good selection of breakfast each day with masses of fruit and home baked croissants. Maria was exceptionally friendly and helpful, providing information on what ever we wanted to know. We arrived slightly early on our check-in day and because our room was not quite ready we were given another room which I believe was probably larger than the one we were supposed to occupy with a great view of the sea and surrounding town. The room was immaculate and the decor, in particular the light fittings, was dreamy and fairylike. Maria may want to consider having slightly larger tables in the breakfast area or perhaps a buffet style breakfast so that people can help themselves. Many restaurants in walking distance down on the beach-all about the same cost for meals. The road into Positano is one way down the hill. The local bus stop terminal to continue out towards Praiano and other areas, is close by. This takes you to the top of the hill, or you can walk, where you can also catch the regional SITA bus.

This B&B is really more of a hotel. Beautiful, located very close to town (not too far up the hill) with a great view of Positano. The rooms were spacious, clean, nicely decorated, with huge bathrooms. The staff really make your stay special. They will suggest restaurants, activities, arrange reservations, etc. And they are very friendly. We would definitely return.

In a few words. Great hospitality. Great location. Fantastic rooms with amazing balcony and view (note we chose the superior, not sure what the others are like). Positano is beautiful, try cafe positano up the hill.

Absolutely perfect. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of fresh fruit and pastries. The staff were beyond friendly (and spoke excellent english), and the view from our large balcony was amazing. The room was quite spacious with high ceilings, and the bathroom was one of the largest we found in Italy. If you arrive in Positano by ferry, the hotel is up several steps, but there are porters that will deliver your luggage for you. The view was definitely worth the climb!

We stayed for 2 nights in September 2005, and loved every minute of it. Actually, we were disappointed by the touristy feeling of Positano after staying on a quiet island for a week. But the hotel staff and the gorgeous room made up for that. The restaurants in the area were overpriced in general, but there was a great family-run place up the street- yes walk UP UP, and it's on your right. You can't miss it because it's crowded and fun bubbles out of it. I'd recomend the room with a balcony, as the view is fabulous. The breakfast was elegant, simple, fresh and scruptious. And did I say the staff were wonderful : > VERY friendly, family operated, very helpful. All smiles, very efficient. Couldn't recommend this place more highly!

The service and atmosphere of the place was just wonderful, we felt completely at ease. The rooms were very nice (it was so nice to have an actual double bed rather than two singles pushed together). My only complaint was that we were assured a room with a view, only to be told when we arrived that a view was, in fact, not available. In the end it didn't matter as we had a fabulous stay anyway.

Great hospitality of very smiling and friendly staff. Breakfast including coffee, fresh fruits, bread, croissants and yoghurt served privately on our balcony, from where we had a great view. Hotel is only 20 meters from terminus of local bus stop.

Good location, friendly staff, Room was of high standard with plenty of room in a junior suite for two adults and two children. Parking was a short walk away and even at the discounted price was expensive at approx £12 per day.
