The hotel could not be located anymore central in Positano to up or down the mountain. Italian breakfast was excellent, fresh and delicious. Kitchen staff were friendly and polite!! Rooms were excellent and super clean. Exzcellent restaurants up and down from the hotel. Perfect!! And if you need transport, go to info@sorrentocars.com and ask Ugo, another excellent and super reliable service!!

It is an amazing hotel. The staff was very friendly, the room was beautiful, with a view of the town and the sea. The dining room was also nice and the food very good. I would recommend to any one who want to spend a quiet and romantic getaway weekend. The only weak point was that they don't have parking. Still, they would get our car whenever we needed.

A great B&B, with a charming location and views. Our room had a balcony overlooking the sea. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The room was spotless and modern. It was a little small, but the balcony added to the living space. Breakfast was excellent - lots of variety. Hint for travellers - contact the hotel before arriving for parking information. Positano is very hard to drive in and parking is non-existent unless you are told where to go. Would highly recommend Palazzo Talamo

This nice small hotel is very well located especially if you are arriving by car, as you can drop off your luggage at the door. Our GPS could not find the address, so it was a bit of a challenge to find it. Our first room (#10) had a superb view, but we had to move to another room the second night (#3) and the view was not as spectacular. The staff is very friendly, the rooms very clean, breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety. Very good location for restaurants; two right across the street and two other a few minutes up the street. They let us use a laptop at no charge. Highly recommend, good value for the money in Positano.

Nice, clean hotel with a beautiful view. Excellent restaurants nearby. Better location than the 4-star hotels, though there were some steps to climb from the centre of Positano.

The hotel was situated in a very good position within walking distance to Positano. Our room was clean and comfortable and the views from the balcony were spectacular. The most important feature of the hotel was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff especially Giovanna and Michele. nothing was too much trouble. We will certainly go there again.

All I can say is that my mother and I had the most wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff was so incredibly helpful and they made us feel like we were part of their family! At the end of our stay, my mother said, "If we come back to Positano there's no way we could stay anywhere else" and she is correct.

Walking distance down stairs 5 minutes to ferry and restaurants. 10 - 15 minutes around the road to waterfront and closer to shops. Bus stop outside hotel to shops

All rooms have a nice sea view with a separate balcony (although not strictly private as the partitions are wooden). The breakfast was okay and coffe was great. We stayed in room-1 and the room could have been more spacious though. I think Positano is generally expensive otherwise you wouldn't expect to pay more than 75-80 EUR for this type of room anywhere else (may be add 10-15 EUR just for the amazing sea-view).

We had a non smoking room that was next to a smoking room - so we couldn't go out on the balcony without a smoker 2 feet away. There was no place to put our suitcases but the floor. And this is more of a hotel than a B&B. But it was beautiful and --- once we found it --- convenient in a steep city. Sending directions would be helpful for future guests (which bus stop to get off, how to take the steps, etc.)

Palazzo Talamo definitely exceeded my expectations. We were lucky enough to bump into a staff member on our arrival into Positano - he assisted with our bags (down almost 100 stairs) and recommended a beautiful dinner on our first night! The room we were given was amazing and we had a terrific view of the Amalfi coast. Would recommend anyone to stay at this fantastic property.

Wonderful staff made our 3days in Positano so easy and memorable. Thank you. Highly recomended property if you are after cleanliness and a breathtaking view over the ocean. It's a 10-15min walk into town. Bus stops 50m from the front door. Cafe directly opposite is excellent value. View spectacular.Staff friendly at Cafe. Try the Lemon Cream Cake. It's a local speciality and to die for.

The views here are absolutely fantastic, though it is directly above a busy ferry stop (nothing too large, but lots and lots of boats traveling between Capri, Amalfi, etc). Rooms are spotlessly clean, simple but elegant, and well-presented. Bed was very good. Bathroom was also very nice, but water temp varied considerably, which knocked a point off the overall experience. Hotel has a lift, which was very nice considering the verticality of Positano in general and the hotel in particular. Getting to the hotel is a chore, with traffic through the town very slow and lots of tourists walking in the streets; moreover, parking is not free...the hotel will have someone pick up and drop off your car with a 20 euro/night fee (ouch!). Vicenzo's, across the street, is OK, but plagued with strolling musicians trying to hock their CDs. Staff was helpful and professional. Hotel advertises internet at a cost, but let me use the computer for free and I think there's Wi-Fi in the lobby. 130 Euro/night is not cheap, but not outrageous for Europe and pretty good for Positano (particularly for what you get). Would stay there again.

We have had a wonderful stay at PT. The hotel is excellent. Recently refurbished, the room was very nice, excellent bathroom, the terrace superb, with a fanastic view. The location is excellent. Tip: if you travel with a notebook, request rooms 1 or 2 that are near the lobby; the wireless connection reaches the rooms and you won't need to move to the lobby to connect to internet. I fully recommend this B&B. You won't be dissapointed.

We werelucky to find it at once as the map (any map of Positano) cannot help. Look at the right and somewhere in the middle of the town you'll see it. People very kind, garage service in 3 minutes, breakfast medium, but what a view...

Located in the perfect spot in Positano, the family that runs this B&B are warm, helpful and accommodating. Do not hesistate to book here if you are planning to visit Positano(and you should!). Rooms are spotless and all have sea views. The breakfast is spectacular. We were 4 people and we all loved it here.

We were overall very pleased with the hotel. Difficult to find from online maps, basically get off at the SITA bus stop #1 and take the orange Positano bus down to the gas station, then hike a little back up. We had room #12 on level -2, which had an even better view than the online pics. Paid 160E/night which was 50E more than other rooms, probably worth it. The hotel is 350 steps up from the beach. Nikola was extremely helpful at the front desk and spoke good english. His sister was not as nice, at one point tried to move us from this room with the best view and later haggled us with the final bill and asked us not to get the lobby furniture dirty with one of our bags. There is a grocery and decent restaraunts nearby but you will probably end up eating closer to the beach most days so great ready for the hike. We still recommend this hotel for the price!

We had a very pleasant time at the Palazzo Talamo. The room was a bit small but that didn't matter since we would spend most of the day out. It was extremely clean which was very important to us. The balcony was spacious and we sat out in the evenings watching the ocean. Palazzo Talamo had made a mistake on my reservation, and had actually booked out our room for the second night of our stay. They acknowledged their mistake and arranged for us to stay at another hotel in a upgraded suite, which they were going to pay the difference for. Fortunately the person that was supposed to have our room cancelled and we were able to keep our room. The breakfast was not something out of the ordinary; the usual toast, cornetto, cheese, yogurt, and fruit. On the other hand their cappuccino was excellent. On my next visit, I will surely stay at the P. Talamo.

I loved this hotel. It was beautiful and clean. Family run as of 2 years ago. The bathroom was lovely. The view from the terrace outstanding. There was a great restaurant across the street. The hotel was safe. I would go back tomorrow if I could, to Positano and I would stay at Palazzo Talamo! I highly recommend it.

Palazzo Talamo was excellent. The staff was very nice and helpful whenever possible. And, you can't beat the view. Our only problem was finding the place. Their streets aren't numbered in a very orderly fashion. Also note, get off at the bus stop on the west side of town and walk east back up the hill (only a short distance). It is MUCH shorter than getting off at the east side stop and walking down the hill, and well worth the small trip up.

This was my girlfriend and my first trip to Italy, and a B&B in Positano was suggested by a friend. From the moment we stepped into the reception, we both fell in love with the Palazzo Talamo. The B&B is a family run business who seem to take much pride in their work. All members of the family/staff were very friendly and made us feel right at home. The business is fairly new, so the rooms and other public areas are well kept. The room was very comfortable and had a wonderful view overlooking the sea. The Palazzo Talamo is much more then what I would expect from a B&B. It was very reasonably priced accommodation in a notoriously expensive part of the Amalfi coast. Definitely recommend it.
