B&B Venus Inn Residence - Positano

Gippy was quite helpful, room was spacious enough and location was also good. However the cleanliness of bed sheets and pillows were below average considering the rate we paid.

We stayed in the Venus Inn for six nights in June and had a wonderful holiday. From the moment we arrived Gippy our host was there to greet us and showed us to our apartment. He gave us really great tips and suggestions for eating out, day excursions and general helpful info. The apartment itself was clean, bright and had a beautiful view from the balcony. We would definitely recommend it to anyone. Location was perfect near the beach and a short walk from the town centre. Hannah and Jennifer

I would have liked some fresh fruit for breakfast and a better selection of bread. Nearby restaurants were excellent for evening meals. Venus Inn would suit families, and people cwho would like a quiet restful place to stay in.

Gippy went above and beyond the call of duty to be friendly and helpful. He answered questions from what are the best restaurants to how to catch the charter to Amalfi. An incredible host in an incredible land.

The owner of this property, Gippy, was one of the most friendly and competent hotel owners we have ever met! Extremely knowledgeable of the area, he knew how to give excellent service and provide helpful hints without invading our privacy in any way. He was willing to provide an alternate breakfast to meet my special dietary needs, kept the place clean and helped us get around this lovely town. We highly recommend the Venus-Inn to all travelers!

Location and a welcoming host are the chief assets of this B&B. With a great view and morning sun on the terrace it's a lovely place for breakfast. Gippy the host is professional and friendly, lots of fun and very helpful. If you must bring a car, be sure to park at the nearby Anna Parking spot - they also were most helpful. Be prepared to climb lots of stairs to get around Positano!

Without a doubt, this is the best deal for your money in Positano! The room was large (by Euro standards), had a little kitchenette area, and the bathroom was a lot better than the other hotels we stayed at in Italy. We even had our own private balcony, which was great. The owner, Gippy, was friendly and helpful....he really makes you feel comfortable there! If I ever return, I will be staying here again!

Romantic vacation with my husband. Gippy is the best host ever. He is very knowledgeable about the area and very helpful when planning or suggesting things to do. Very beautiful area of Italy and very close area for day trips Would recommend taking the train and then a ferry to Posintano not the bus when travelling from Rome 415 steps to beach so would not recommend it to anyone who can't manage alot of walking.

I stayed in the venus-inn for a week because i was attending a wedding. Gippy the owner was a lovely guy, helped carry my luggage as there was so much of it and he was just an out and out nice bloke.

Best place to stay in Positano, very nice room with spectacular views, Giuseppe and his wife were always giving advices and reccomendations, breakfast was great, served on a balcony facing the sea, I highly reccomend this hotel

Enjoyed a fantastic few days at the Venus Inn. Rooms are new, very clean, and have a lot of character. Stunning view. The owner, Gippy, was welcoming, friendly, and generous during our stay! He was also very helpful with recommendations for things to do in Positano, day trips to neighboring towns, transportation, restaurants, etc. We did not want to leave Positano! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Lovely place for a very reasonable price in Positano. Guippe (the host) was amazing. He gave us very good advice of things to do and was great to chat to. Highly recommended.

Everthing is just perfect here. Scenery, room, food, and even the owner Gippy! I had memorable time in Positano and Amalfi Coast by the help of Gippy. I'm sure that you wouldn't find a place like this with this price! :)

Our stay at venus-Inn was perfect. The owner "Gippy" and his wife was very helpful, recommended things to see, timetables for bus and so on. Our room was nice and we ate breakfast on our own terrace with seaview every morning. Venus-Inn is located in the upper part of Positano and that was good for us, though we are not fond of living near the big tourist area (harbour)If we come back to Positano we will stay at Venus-Inn again.

Travelling with partner.Young couples stayed there.It was truly the best value (90 euros a night ) & location for any of the more pricey hotels.We were treated like royalty from Guiseppe & his lovely wife.They were so helpful,knowledgable & very accommodating.After 3 weeks travelling around Italy it was just so relaxing to be at this B&B.Also having a drink on the terrace at the end of the day with a spectacular view was just awseome.Highly recommended.

Venus Inn is in an excellent location in Positano, very close to both the beach and the centre. There are about 100 steps down to the beach, so this should be kept in mind if this is a problem for you. We received a great welcome from the owner, who was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and giving general advice. He was also quick to respond by email in relation to queries on directions to the property, etc. The room was quite basic, but was a good size. Our room had a nice view over Positano, but not all of the rooms have a full view so this should be requested. This is a nice accomodation, with a helpful owner. Rooms are basic but very good value for the price in comparison with prices of accommodation generally in Positano.

Our stay was brilliant, B&B has excellent location and magnificent view;) Staff working there is friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed our holidays. It is a great place to relax. We recommend it! Hope to come back soon...

The owner/manager, "Gippy" is extremely personable and helpful, both in going out of his way to personally see us to the bus stop while carrying our bags up flights of stairs, but also a gracious host with a love for his beautiful hometown that he freely shares with his guests.

Our stay at the Venus Inn in Positano was just fabulous. Our host Gippy was friendly, helpful and a really great guy. Every room has its own private terrace overlooking a gorgeous view of the sea and town where each morning a delightful continental breakfast is served by Gippy. Our stay was perfect! Very nice place and we had an excellent stay. Just about what we expected. Though it was a bit of a surprise that the "street" was actually a narrow stairway. So with heavy luggage it was a bit painful to get there at first. And the taxi fare from Sorrento was very expensive (80 euro). The bus is 5 euro...

We had a great time. The inn keeper Giuseppe was delightful. The accomodations were nice - a little dowdy - but what do you expect for the best price in Positano? The view was great. I read previous complaints about no towels. There were towels - no problem. I would stay there again.

The room we occupied was spacious with high ceilings so that it remained cool even without air-conditioning and tropical weather in Positano during the particular week we were there. The adjacent spacious terrace overlooks Positano including a seaview. Morning sun, which is very pleasant. Easy access to the beach via hotels Victoria and Puppeto lifts, if one is prepared to use hotel Pupetto beach facilities (lounge chairs, restaurant etc.). Otherwise about 400 stairs. We would have welcomed a fridge in the room, but the landlord "Gippy" kindly gave us some space in his "breakfast" fridge. We should mention that "Gippy" is a very efficient and pleasant host, excellent hands-on approach to maintaining the facility, and helpful with useful information. We enjoyed talking to this very personable young man.

Very "simple" location. Towel will not be changed within 3 days; our room had shower and toilett within 1 sqm (other rooms are more comfortable). Breakfast (extra costs) simple but ok. Owner is nice guy - tried to make our stay as nice as he can. Location is very expensive compared to the service - buts that's related to Positano. Guess, you will not find a better location for the same price ... Positano is expensive - if you don't like to be a poor man after your stay, don't go 2x to a restaurant, at the same day ...

This Inn is situated on the mountain overlooking one of the most beautiful little towns in Italy. Location, location, location. While listed as an Inn, the host -- Guiseppi -- has some different ideas as to what our E90./night may include and that would not be towels nor soap. We finally were provided with mis-matched small towels for bathing and fortunately had brought some soaps from other hotels. Other than that, the view from our terrace was magnificiant and breakfast every morning was special. We ate in local restaurants that were true to Italian cuisine and the local wines were extraordinarily good. This Inn is the place to stay for a few days and nights.
