Bed and Breakfast Campomaggio - Pistoia

Maria is a very gracious hostess. She speaks very little english but we all had fun and she was great with our 3 little kids. We would stay there again for sure.

Bed and Breakfast Campomaggio is a perfect place to stay if you are looking for a low-key spot on the countryside in Tuscany. The view we had from our room overlooked the hills and into Pistoia, the nearby medieval city. We stayed in the Double Room intended for three guests (there is another, smaller room off that double room) and it was lovely and comfortable. The bathroom is shard but is stocked with everything you may need during your stay. Breakfast in the morning is a little odd, consisting of stale cereal and overly strong coffee, even by European standards. Overall, I think B & B Campomaggio is a perfect place to stay for the money. We would definitely stay there again.

I was travelling with my sister and her 3 daughters aged 12, 9 and 18 months, which could have posed a challenge for even the most gracious host. Maria was wonderfully helpful, and particularly tolerant and patient. She has many grandchildren and quickly established an excellent rapport with the girls, particularly the little one, despite the language barrier. We managed to communicate in my limited French and Italian (we are English & German speakers), and turned to internet translation when we needed more sophisticated communication. Sharing one bathroom did delay our daily starts ... especially with a 12 year old girl (What do they DO in there?), but even when we arrived back late with tired, hungry girls, Maria insisted on heating up our pasta and pizza, and had done all our laundry (Heaven!). We travelled to Florence (45 minutes by train), Volterra, San Gimignano, Pisa and the zoo at Pistoia, and we all appreciated the relaxing home base that Maria provided. We stayed for 3 nights and highly recommend this gorgeous, authentically decorated farmhouse with the verdant valley views.

The owners are wonderful hosts and I felt like a friend, rather than a guest. They are extremely friendly and helpful people. It is in a good location with buses on six days a week to take you into Pistoia or up the mountain. A good place to do a few days walking. After the urban tourism of Florence, this place and location is a breath of fresh air in several ways.

Great countryside location and charming stone farmhouse. Maria was a helpful and friendly host and we really enjoyed our brief stay. We would recommend this B & B.

46 No Rossi, No Party 46. I was so saddened at hearing the news of Vale' breaking his leg at Mugello on my way to Campomaggio but the warm welcome I received from Maria went a long way in lifting my spirits. Campomaggio B and B is a lovely old house in a nice rural setting about 5 miles from Pistoia and less than an hour from Mugello by Aprilia RSV R.

The house is beautiful, and our room was spacious and exquisitly furnished. The only downside is that there is only one bathroom (and toilet) to share with all the guests, but this is a small discomfort compared to the incredible welcome we received from the tenants. We came in as guests and left 6 days layer like family!
