Bed and Breakfast La Papaya - Marina di Pisa, Pisa

The property is more like a motel than a B&B with rooms off a central courtyard. it had the feel of a converted stable. This was unexpected, however, the overall experience was good. The area is pleasant and several good, even outstanding, restaurants. A pleasant retreat from the overwhelmingly touristy Pisa. It is also an easy jump to the highway to Cique Terre and north.

La Papaya is a small pension of 5-6 rooms, the owners are kind and polite, the is air condition, breakfast is simple, but good, but there is no real kitchinette. General feeling very good. The address is somewhat confusing, because the real entry to this pension is from a parallel street. Unfortunately, Deiva Marina has changed significantly during the last 10 years and not only to the better direction. The village is dirty, public beaches very dirty - so prefer the private ones closer to Tirrenia.

We can recommend the bed and breakfast la papaya. The rooms are beautiful, the breakfast is tasty and the owner a nice man. Marina di pisa is not really beautiful. We took the bus to pisa. It takes 20 minutes and the buses don't stop at 20 o'clock p.m. like in Siena. We recommend the osteria toscana in Pisa.

Hostel is really nice. Small, but with a familiar flair. Good service, information about local travel option by bus were given. Breakfast could be richer with more variety. We can really recommend a stay there!

This is a pleasant and friendly B&B off the beaten track but within cycling distance of Pisa. A great place to start an Italian C2C cycle. The local pizzeria and deli (the latter is owned by the B&B family) is very quality and the bars overlooking the Med offer great location for a sundowner. The town is a bit scruffy at the time of staying but peaceful.

We booked the accomodation quite a while before travel the rooms accomodate 2 people but we did not realise this when booked and we contacted the hotel because our grandaughter decided at the very last minute that she wanted to come along They were very kind and put a small bed in the room it was fine we had a lovely stay and would reccomend to others

The only thing wrong was the fact that I booked two rooms, a double for myself and my husband and two singles for my two teenage sons. The room for the boys was in a separate house around the corner!! This worked out okay for one night but could have been a problem if the boys were younger. Other than that everything else was very good.

Giudizio in generale positivo. La struttura è stata ristrutturata da poco e con ottimo gusto da parte della proprietaria: le camere sono accoglienti e ordinate, e i bagni ben attrezzati. Si tratta di tutte camere al piano terra, non si dispone di terrazze, ma di un cortile interno comune ben arredato, dove comunque si possono usare divani e sedie senza dar fastidio agli altri ospiti. La colazione è ottima e vengono serviti dolci di produzione dei proprietari. A parte essere inserita in una piccola e carina località balneare (meritata bandiera blu), questa struttura è da considerarsi un ottimo appoggio anche per visitare Pisa, che può essere agevolmente raggiunta tramite una linea di bus diretta, e dintorni.
