Bed and Breakfast La Vecchia Quercia - Pedara

1. You really need a car, because restaurants and shops are located a few kilometers away. 2. Take care at the price. The price booked at venere.com was 455,-Euro. The B&B asked us 490,-Euro!!!!!

We stayed for 4 days in Pedara, which is a nice quite locality.However we only slept in Pedara because we used to go out after breakfast for the whole day and return late at night. Our aim was to visit as much as possible different places in Sicily.

Hotel was far from restaurants etc. Hotel had no lifts and we were on 2nd floor. Staff did help to take up and down

Really a great place to stay but they don't understand very much english. We were in Italy for two weeks and this was one of our favorite places. The breakfast was better than most of the places we stayed. The town is just about a mile away but you definately need a car to get there and back especially at night. One of the things we had a problem finding were places to eat that were not pizzareas. There are a few but you have to really look. Also look hard for the sign on the Bed and Breakfast gate because it is very small and we drove around for over an hour trying to find the place. Remember that you are staying in someone's home because the common area is also the place that they entertain their friends when thay have company. Just a few miles to Mt. Etna but again you have to have a car or pay a very high price to have one of the tour operators pick you up.
