Della Mercede, from the 15th century, the church S. Gregorio Magno, from the 17th century and the churchs S. Marco and SS. Crocifisso di Lucca, from the 16th century. I was staying at B&B Marzapane with a colleague in April for a 3-days-holiday and had an excellent stay at the Marzapane. We were warmly welcomed even though we arrived late at night. The hospitality of the owners was tremendous and they helped us with a lot of good advice and recommendations. The breakfast was very delicious with homebaked bread and a wide range of food for your choice set at the lovely sunny terrace. The B&B is within easy walking distance of all major sights of Palermo with a very colourful market right outside the door. If you're interested in puppets, do not miss the Via G.Battista Ughetti close by - here you'll find theaters and small handicraft shops. Thank you Geraldina for a wonderful stay

A great price if you don't mind the odour of cat pee and raw fish. B&B located next to a meat market and apartment housing dozens of cats. The entrance smells so bad I could never stay there again. Smell is worse than an alley in a big city. First room very moldy, but second room better. Hosts very nice and bathroom clean, but outside smell and entrance were both decrepit.

I really loved it there. The location is great. Rooms are clean, spacious and cozy (with a/c and DVD player even.) Love the roof terrace and the owners :)).

We enjoyed our stay tremendously! staff were very friendly, room was very nice, spottlessly clean and had good bed. in the kitchen the coffea, tea and juice were supplied whole day, which was great, coming back very thirsty from visisiting the town. the roof terrace was great! we shopped on the market for fresh food and enjoyed eating on the sunny terrace. the surroundings however are a bit poor, but once you're inside its heaven. highly recommended!

We stayed here for one night, our last night in Sicily. The B&B has a great location, walking distance to all the main sights and shopping. Also, it is located in a colorful food market with amazing produce and meat. Our hosts were very helpful and warm, and spoke great english.

Great location, tucked just inside the ancient city wall with friendly fresh food markets immediately outside the ground floor entrance. Large terrace creating lovely outdoor living space on first floor, suitable for children and providing a birds eye view of life in the ancient alleyways below. Three spectacular baroque churches within 150 metros of the B&B provide sanctuary from the busy stalls and trading outside. Warm and welcoming on-site owner/host Geraldina provides support, advice and much-needed practical assistance so that travellers take a little bit of Palermo community with them. Great value and not to be missed for those who want a very relaxing, exciting and fascinating visit to the beautiful city and surrounds of Palermo.

The B&B is ideally located, between the historical centre and the more modern part. The huge terrace where breakfast is served and we can relax whenever we feel like it is even more impressive than in the pictures provided on the Website. The host, Geraldina, makes you feel at home without being intrusive. From the street and on first impression, the building might look run-down but the flat is very well-restored with a nice living-room. There is a nice market in the same street.

The location of the hotel is in a food market, they are selling fish, meat and all the smelly products, therefore the hotel smells like fish, and very noisy, you cant open your window and you have to wake up with this market opening... Since I am a vegetarian it was a nightmare for me to go to the hotel because all the fish and meat bloods on the street right in front of the hotel. The are of the hotel is very poor, there is a very poor and loud family living just next to the hotel and your room. So, you can say 'its Palermo' and stay there max. 2 days, but I am sure there are better options out there.

Great welcome and very good suggestions from the B&B owner! Very nice location in the middle of the market Il Capo. Breakfast is served in a beautiful big terrace in the morning. A pleasant stay.
