B&B Z.C. - Palermo

877-662-6988The place is very near to the central station which is connected by shutteltrains to the airport. It is also near to the starting point of shuttel buses to the airport (Prestia –Comandè) as well as some regional and international buses and a lot of city buses to the near surroundings (Monreale, Bagheria) or to the beach of Mondello.

All guests have free access to a terraces offering a wonderful view of the old city and the sea; you can also take the sun or to have a launch.

Great place! Very loyal and democratic. Was supposed to stay one day, but stayed several weeks and was given a big discount for long-term stay. The owner and his wife are very friendly and treated me like a family member. Breakfast is excellent: several kinds of tea, coffee, different bakery and sweets, several kinds of cereals, milk, many fruits and juices. You can drink tea, water, juices and eat fruits all the day and breakfast is not limited by time so you can wake up late and eat what you want. Gaetano (owner) is an artist, so you can see original arts of his hand on the walls everywhere. Also, the place attracts artists, musicians, architects and designers from all over the World. Gaetano was very helpful with information and also gave me a map of Palermo on arrival, showing places worth vising in first term, restaurants, fast-foods, shops and etc. Solarium and terrace are just great, I spent most of the time just taking sunbathes while working on my laptop. Fast and free internet Wi-Fi was very helpful for my work! The pictures of the place are real pictures. The great value for money and good stay !

This is SUCH a gorgeous B&B! The walls are decorated with original artwork, and the roof deck is AMAZING and overlooks all of Palermo. We were astonished by the size of the rooms and felt welcomed by the wonderful proprietor. Highly recommended!

My friend, another woman, and I thought this B&B excellent value for money. Unfortunately, as we needed two single beds the room faced the main street which was rather noisy. However, the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast simple but plentful. There was always tea, coffee and biscuits on hand in the dining area, too. The location was great as it was possible to walk anywhere;also, near the main bus and train station. We had a marvellous holiday there and could recommend it to anyone who likes the straightforward living.

This is not my first stay in Palermo, but it is my best one by far ! The location, the kindness of the owners, the view from the terrace (where we can even sunbathe) the charming art nouveau style of the building are really something I could never imagine for such a cheap price !

The location of the B&B is great, as it's close to the station and many of the main sights in the old part of Palermo. The room and bathroom were clean, although the shower needed more pressure. The roof terrace provides beautiful views of the city and is a lovely place to chill out. The owner was very friendly and helpful and laid-back. However, make sure you tell her when you arrive so there is someone to receive you. The breakfast is nothing fancy, typical Italian, but was set out the whole day so we could snack whenever we were hungry. For the price, it's a good place to stay in Palermo.

B&B ZC is ideally located close to the train station and the shopping area of Palermo in an authentic sicilian mansion. It's provides a nice hand-made breakfast. The landlord is very very kind and helpfully.

This B&B is conveniently located 3 mins from Palermo train station with it's 4 guest rooms housed in one wing of a massive apartment. There is a charming roof terrance with a view of the city which guest can access and relax at when the weather is nice. You may also chance into the owner's cute, fluffy cat dozing off on the sofa! We had a very spacious, cheerfully decorated room with a small balcony which opened out to the street below. The noise from the street does travel up the low rised apartment though! Also, one toilet to be shared by 4 guest rooms (or 8 people) posed a 'traffic' problem in the mornings. Breakfast was served Italian style i.e. a meagre affair with supermarket pre-packaged pastries. Lastly, the free wi-fi access often did not work and the owner did not seem in a hurry to fix the problem when it was highlighted to her.

Very near to train station, 1 bathroom for all rooms but there are only few rooms, so there is no problem sharing the bathroom. When we come back to Palermo, we will book in B&B Z.C. ones more.

What a find, Z.C. is small..only 4 rooms I think... and friendly. The air conditioning in my single room was very efficient, and very welcome. Breakfast is good, as is the regular smell of baking! I appreciated the use of a fridge & tea & coffee making facilities I also loved the lovely roof terrace with views over Palermo to the sea. The railway station is very close making transfer to the airport cheap & simple. ZC is about 10 minutes walk to Teatro Massimo, buses stop on Via Roma 20 yards away. With such good value I couldn't recommend Z.C. more highly!

I booked a room for 2 months prior to my arrival. But when I came to the hotel no one waited for me. For 4 days of my staying at the hotel I had to change the room 2 times. Instead of living in a single room as I booked, first I lived in a double, then in a triple and on the third day in a double again. The location of the hotel is very convenient, low price, but the rooms are very noisy because of very strong traffic, in addition, there is only one bathroom for everybody, which is very inconvenient.

The owner almost doesn't speak English. Very noisy from the street until 2:00 am at least. The owner was not in when we arrived at 11:00am, and we had to wait in the street for about half an hour. Another 1 hour for waiting for the owner come back on the second day morning for checking out and pay. Well, maybe i shouldn't expect too much for just 55.00Euro

The hostess was very hospitable and kindly. We met young nice people from Greece there. A attraction is a balcony on the top of the accomodation, there you have a beautiful panorama of the city. The breakfest was a little bit poor, only sweets and a limited amoount of (admittedly very delicious) coffee. We stay one night. Why are italian cities so dirty?

Had problems with checking in. Owner didnt speak english and was confused on the intercom. eventually came down stairs to let us in after about 10 mins. Checked into the room which was big an spacious. Then got moved out a few hours later into a twin room (not what we booked) because they had mis-booked the rooms/had poor organisation. Terrace was great. Rooms were eccentrically decorated, and had character. But Palermo was a let down.
