Wonderful hospitality! Perfect location, you can walk to many important place, the surroundings are quiet and safe. restaurant suggestions that Raffaella gave us were perfect (Monsu and Fuori le mura). We suggest for an orientation the small train leaving from Piazza Politeama, very nice trip . we enjoyed very much our stay (too short, 2 nights)!

This is cash only. Very nice place and excellent hostess. She went out of her way to find stuff on the internet for us, she speaks english, just talk slow, if she doesn't understand she will type it in the translater in google. Very helpful. I would stay here again. Close to everything we needed. We walked from the ferry station, it was lovely not to far, we had our GPS which really came in handy. Breakfast in the morning was simple. They warm up their milk in Italy, ask for it cold.

Pleasant and comfortable rooms with very kind hosts, who were always there when we need some guidance or help regarding Palermo. Highly recommended for tourists , who are sightseeing all day long and need a clean and quite place to rest during the night.

This b&b was fantastic! It was our first trip to Italy and we toured Sicily allotting only a day or two in each city we stayed. The owners of Piccola Sicilia were extremely helpful, highlighted main attractions on a small map, great places to eat, had fabulous homemade breakfast every day, and helped us out with directions to surrounding attractions in other nearby cities. We also found the owners to be very sweet and personable-and they spoke english well-which was very helpful for us!

Excellent - we were made to feel very welcome. Our hostess came to meet us on foot when we had difficulty finding the accommodation; and throughout our stay she was very helpful in answering our questions about transport and things to see and do in Palermo. The accommodation was most comfortable and homely. We felt that we were experiencing Sicilian home life. Breakfast was a real treat! A wide range of food was available, including home-made yoghurt and crepes, and everything was very tastefully presented. We strongly recommend the B&B Piccola Sicilia. It exceeded our expectations. It was also well-situated - just 15 minutes walk from the Politeama and coach stops.

B&B Piccola Sicilia was very clean and quiet. Unless you know Palermo, it is impossible to find, initially, without local help. Easy walking to local transportation.

This is a very nice B&B. The only slightly adverse comment to make is that there was some traffic noise - but that is to be expected in a busy city like Palermo. In addition the breakfast was fine with home-made yogurt and crepes, except the sliced bread which was a bit disappointing. The proprietor was friendly and helpful. We ate on our first night at a nearby restaurant called 'Amira' she recommended, which served good cous-cous meals (among others).

Wonderful place, convenient location, delightful and helpful people. You should know that the bathroom is down the hall from the bedroom, but it's private, quite large, and spotless. We found it was no problem at all. Loved the place and will go back our next stay in Palermo.

We had a spacious room, Rafael was fabulous. Breakfast was great, hot crepes. We were on a vacation travelling around the Island of Sicily. Venere needs to write directions to the B and B with clearer instructions. Palermo is a large city, with street signs on the buildings, heavy traffic with folks trying to find the building who speak no Italian, therefore, asking directions becomes difficult. Otherwise, a great stay and hostess

My partner and I stayed at Raeffela and Daniele's Piccola Sicilia bed and breakfast for 5 days in November 2008. The B & B located at Via Tenete Giovanni Ingrao 2, Palmero, was quiet, spacious, very clean and well situated for access to the main city streets and train station. Breakfast was lovely too. It was also within walking distance of the start line for the Palmero Marathon that we ran on 16 November. Raeffela speaks good English and was most welcoming and keen to help with directions and maps. I would definitely recommend Piccola Sicilia to other travellers.

This B&B was perfect. The photo's don't show that the rooms are really lovely, so clean. One is a lot bit bigger than the other, but we stayed in both either end of our holiday and we enjoyed both. Yes, the bathroom is a little down the hall but only a few metres which made no problem, especially as the bathroom was lovely. Raphaella who ownes the place was a perfect host. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the location was really good as it was really close to tourist sites but not too close so it actually felt like you were in real Palermo. I couldn't have picked anywhere better, especially for the price.

Excelente B&B a un paso del centro de Palermo. La habitación enorme y tranquila, todo muy limpio. A destacar la amabilidad y la disposición de Raffaella y Daniele. El aire acondicionado de la habitación nos salvó la vida.

Raphaela was very friendly and welcoming, and spent a lot of time going over the city sights and how to get there. She was also very patient with us practising our limited Italian vocabulary! Of course, she understood and spoke English very well when needed (like helping us find alternate transport to Monreale on the day they were diffusing an unxploded WW II bomb in Piazza Independenza! Didn't hear any loud explosions so we guess it went well). We spent 3 nights at the Piccola Sicilia and had a good time. Breakfast was adequate, but not amazing, consistenting of tea, coffee, bread rolls, toast, marmalade, fruit juice, yoghurt, cheese, cake (on second day). Raphaela was flexible with breakfast times, although we generally ate around 8am. We stayed in the larger room next to the street. Other reviews said this room was noisy, but we found it fine (it was double-glazed) and we had no problem walking down the hall to the bathroom (we rarely saw others to/from it). The bathroom was really nice and quite large with a good shower and plenty of hot water. The location was pretty good - only 10-15 minutes walk to many of the main sights in Palermo (Norman Palace, Catherdral) and within reasonable walking distance into the center. Raphaela also recommended a restaurant called "Monsu", about 5-10 minutes walk from the B&B towards the Teatro Massimo. The grilled seafood platter for two (18 euros) was fantastic, one of the tastiest seafood meals we've ever had. All in all we had a great stay at Piccola Sicilia.

It was difficult to find. Once at the site the label on the multi-apartment building was unreadable. The bedrrom was quite large, but it is central in the living unit and we didn't feel we had the privacy as opposed to being on the outer rooms of a living unit. Being a seasoned traveler it didn't bother me as it might of my wife. No street noises.

Excellent and welcoming b&b. Super kind hospitality, quiet room with double windows. 10 minutes walk from the absolute center of Palermo and 20 minutes from the Railway Station. Bathroom is at the end of the corridor, but this was no problem for us. Friendly owner provided EXCELLENT breakfast. You dont get this kind of treatment in hotels. Top value with nice staff!

Nice little B&B, very friendly hostess who lives in the other half of the condo and was very accomodating. Rooms seemed to have been fixed up a bit since last pics on Venere. We got the large bathroom (much nicer of the two) which is further down the hall, but we did not find this to be an inconvenience. Very nice (typical) Italian breakfast, and the hostess woke up before 7am on our last day (Sunday) to prepare it since we had an early bus (she also called us a cab and arranged the price). Walking distance to every monument/attraction, information + map provided. ONLY complaint is that the price (75eur) was a little high compared to similar BB's we stayed in, since it is cash-only. There is a sign in the room with the rate 45eur, which is probably for benefit of the tax-collector! A great bargain though if you can get a rate in the 50-60eur neighbourhood. Would go back.

Tea and coffeee making facilities in the room would be a great improvement. We were dissapointed by the distance between bathroom and bedroom via common hall. Our hosts were very welcoming.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Piccola Sicilia, spacious, clean and well furnished room, tiled floor, high vaulted ceiling, balcony and delicious varied breakfast. Also the hosts were very welcoming and helpful. I thought the photographs of the rooms actually gave a less favourable impression than being there, very pleasant accommodation. However, as throughout Palermo, with the windows open it was very noisy and fumes rise from the street. Seemed to be pretty good value for E75 per night that we paid, but would also point out to anyone unaware that Sicily represents a more expensive holiday location than elsewhere around Italy in term of price vs quality of accommodation. Would agree with previous reviewer that the map gives too loose an idea of the location, we had the impression that the b&b was located on the opposie side of the main street than its actual location. Having said that however, we had no difficulty in finding the B&B as we had a very little old lady guardian whose route from the central station on the bus coincided exactly with ours and directed us pretty much to the door! Would also recommend Capo market near by, for a stunning range and ambundance of fresh produce. That's all.

Only one thing to change: the name of PICCOLIA SICILIA is not indicate on the door of the building (on the street) and the B & B is unknowed by people in the area. So it is very difficult to find it.
