B&B Panormus has a great location; it is very near the train station and long-distance bus departure area. It is also on a main avenue where security isn't an issue. I was generally pleased with my single room except that I'd expected it to have a Liberty-style decorated ceiling (it did not) and the owner's instructions to keep the windows closed effectively meant no access to natural light. I'd been told before that the room would not have a view. Other than that, the owner is helpful in pointing out areas of interest and places to eat, etc. The only reason why I wouldn't return to this property is because I did not feel safe in the city. Otherwise, the B&B is good for travelers who want a quiet, centrally located place without rowdy guests.

By airplane
From Palermo airport, proceed on the A19 motorway until Palermo. Proceed straight on for 35 km, and take the 'via E.Basile' exit. Then follow signs to the central train station (Piazza Giulio Cesare). Then take via Roma.
