Bed and Breakfast Diamantino - Padua

Little nice hotel, but there is no receptionist you can ask where breakfast is offered - in a little bar next to the hotel - one cappucino and one croissant! After showering the whole bathromm was swamped - the showercubicle wasn´t water-proofed! The rest was fine, exspacially the car parking service.

This is charming little boutique hotel right in the heart of Padua in one of the main city squares.During the holiday season it was great to be in middle of the markets and the activity of the city. Good restaurants and sight-seeing very close by. Room was very clean, cozy and well-decorated. In the late evenings the square becomes quite noisy making it advisable to reserve rooms in the winter months when the windows can be closed. It is necessary to provide arrival times when reserving as the owner is not on-site except during business hours of the small jewelry shop connected with the hotel. Luckily a number is provided to phone in case of late arrival.

The hotel didn't have signs, but the address was correct and easy to find. It's between the gelato store and a cafe, across from orologio. The Diamantino isn't a "hotel" in US terms - there's no front desk, just a table the staff uses to hold a small credit card machine and reservations book. The staff person didn't speak English, but was kind. She also was not in the hotel when we got there a few minutes before check-in. We had to ask the neighboring stores if we were in the right place b/c it was locked. She did arrive at 3 p.m. exactly (check-in). The door is silver with small round windows all over. The rooms were nice and clean, showers were very small, but adequate. No elevator - so if you don't want many stairs ask for the Emerald room. It's on the 1st floor. Then it's Sapphire on 2nd and Topaz on 3rd. Topaz is in the back of the bldg away from the piazza, so noise was no problem. The others are on the front above the cafe. There was one more floor above Topaz, as well. Breakfast was a croissant and either juice or espresso. Very small. It's across the square at Orologia cafe. You get a coupon from the staff. It seems a typical Italian breakfast, but not enough compared to US breakfast standards. You can, of course, order more on your own. Overall, it was a perfect stay for a night in Padova. It was central to most tourist sights, and in a beautiful piazza. For the price (ours was E95), it was perfect and we have no real complaints. We would recommend it for a short stay.

Diamantino Town House is a real diamond. Perfect location,very nice room, tatefully designed. I think it is the best choice for those who would like to discover Padova and stay in the historical centre, just few minutes from the railway station and monuments.

A gem of a hotel on the Piazza Signore. Although the check-in time was a little later than other hotels, the staff were very accommodating in making us comfortable while we waited. The room was fantastic and very comfortable and the convenience of being on the Piazza is priceless. The perfect place to stay in Padova and I'd recommend it to anyone travelling there in future.

Really great place to stay. Room wasn't that big but it had everything we could have wished for and was spotlessly clean with nice fluffy towels too! Due to the one way system etc it is a bit tricky to approach by car but once we found it, the host was very helpful with a permit for our car etc. We asked for a room at the back as there is a market in the square at the front in the mornings which we thought might be noisy. Topaz room was nice and quiet. I don't remember reading on the website that you have to call at the jewellers downstairs first, which acts as reception. Very happy to recommend.
