Bed and Breakfast Masseria Tolla - Ostuni

The room was very clean. I was able to have a cappuccino every morning with breakfast that consisted of a jelly-filled croissant and little toasts that you could put jelly and/or butter on. The hotel grounds are well-kept. You have a nice view of the outskirts of Ostuni. It is, however, about a mile or so from the new city, so be prepared to either walk that far into town or rent/bring a car. The days that I was there were very relaxing days. There were only other guests on the weekend, otherwise my friend and I were the only guests staying at the hotel. There are not a vast array of tourist sights in new Ostuni that I found, but it is also a 20 minute train ride from Ostuni to the port town of Brindisi, where is more tourist-type shopping, etc, and you can also take ferry rides over to various other ports, including Greece. Also, there is the old city, referred to as 'The White City,' which is beautiful. If you do not speak Italian, however, the owner's wife speaks English, but the owner does not, and not very many people in the town that we found speak English either. So, be sure and take an Italian phrasebook/tourist information--we didn't, and still had fun, but I think that having these would have made it easier. And who knows? You may find some other tourist attractions. Overall, I enjoyed the stay at the Masseria Tolla B&B.
