Bed and Breakfast Casa Flavia - Orvieto

All was OK. But Casa Flavia does not offer breakfast

This is not a B&B, don't expect that. Breakfast is something you have to organize yourself but there are a few little supermarkets less than 3 minutes walk away. You have to ring up and wait for the lady to arrive from down in the valley when you arrive. You will get a free lift from the carpark to the accommodation but will have to walk back the day you leave. That wasn't a problem for us but I'm just warning you. Our hostess was very friendly but struggled a little with English. The location is excellent if you want to spend some time in a hilltop town and Orvieto is one of the best. There was only half a toilet roll supplied and the towels weren't the best and the shower fitting was faulty but everything was clean and the unit is spacious. There's a little bit of noise comes through the kitchen window on occasions but that wasn't a problem for us. You get a microwave, toaster and oven but only one power point worked in the kitchen when we were there. The others may well be fixed by now. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Roberta was wonderful and very helpful! The rooms are actually a whole apartment and are just beautiful. A great value for the price!

The two best qualities about this place were its location (right in the heart of the old city) and its interior, which was very spacious (basically a small apartment). We had an enormous bedroom with attached terrace, a living room with TV, and a fully-stocked kitchen. Although, I cannot give this place a 'perfect' rating because it wasn't a true B&B in the sense that we had to make our own breakfasts. We were supplied with eggs, butter, juice, cookies, packaged pastries and milk, but had to buy our own bread, jam, cereal, etc. This was fine with us, as we both like to cook, but non-cooks should be advised (haha). However, our host was very kind and picked us up from the bus station at a very late hour. Overall, our stay was comfortable and memorable. What a beautiful, relaxing town!

Very spacious. You must contact the owner by phone well before arriving as he needs time to arrange to meet you. (We allowed an hour) Not easy to find as main street is closed to traffic during main part of day and fines apply if you drive on the wrong street - so best if you follow the instructions provided by owner. Property right in middle of town with small convience shop nearby. We only had two nights but would like to return for a week as so many historic villages to visit nearby if you have a car. Kitchen had very good cooking facilities.

Excellent location and great large place with full kitchen and sitting room and patio. Loved it!

Casa Flavia exceeded our expectations. The room(s) were far larger and nicer. The private patio is such a bonus. The price was more than fair. Mauro's welcome and transfer from the funicular to the B&B was such a warm touch. Mauro even showed us around Ortieto in order to feel at home. For us the highlight other than the accommodations was the underground. We especially enjoyed le Grotte der Funaro after our tour. When we return to Ortieto we will definitely return to Casa Flavia.

Casa Flavia is a wonderful apartment in the centre of Orvieto with a kitchen, a living room with tv, a large double bedroom and a balcony. We were met by Roberta's husband at the funicular, who drove us to the apartment (it's not far, but still a nice touch!). Kitchen fully kitted out, with breakfast stuff in the fridge and cupboards. 5 mins walk to the Duomo, lots of restaurants around, extremely good value in my opinion!
