Bed and Breakfast Nughe' e' Oro - Nuoro

Max and Carla were wonderful hosts. Attentive and gracious. Nuoro is a great location to reach many of Sardegna's wonderful points of interest: beaches, nature walks, trekking, archaeological sights, museums. We will come back to Nughe e Oro on our next visit to Sardegna.

From the warm welcome to the wonderful breakfasts to the helpful advise of the owners, our stay here was exceptional. Max and his wife can give advice on any kind of travel in the area, and when we got lost on an expedition, Max even volunteered as a guide. The rooms are on the 6th floor but there is an elevator and the views are nice. It is so nice to find hosts who are helpful but not imposing. This is the kind of experience we will remember for a long time.

The familiy who lives in the hotel Nughe ´e Oro is very nice and helpful if you want to see the best and interesting places in the city and the area of Nuoro. I didn´t expect to live in the same flat as the owners. The italian breakfast with only sweet bread and marmelade is nothing for austrian people :-)

The owners are very efficient and nice persons. The BB is located at the Nuoro downtown; next to the main thinks to visit.

I recommend this place at anyone that appreciates the good way of live that owners try to imprompt not only in their facilities but also in their charm welcome and company they will struggle to offer. I wish all B&B had this level of humanity and devotion to their guests, especially if you are someone willing to interact in an open manner to them. I booked the room with the private bath. There is a lockable 'reservoir' which makes separation between public areas and your bedroom+bathroom, so it is perfect for those seeking a plus of privacy. You're allowed to stay at the dinning room or at a spacious terrace in order to have a rest or take a drink. Though I stayed at end of July, the room is not hot, and you have and optional fan to turn it on. Car parking wasn't a problem neither. Overall excelent, and a perfect 3-5 day base to conduct a central Sardinian spotting.

We enjoyed everything about Nughe'e'Oro. From the warm welcome, the helpful advice of the hosts, the comfortable bed, the breakfast on the terrace, the view of the hills of Nuoro from this top floor apartment.

Location is excellent, but it is very hard to find. A proper map would be invaluable for this place. The owner was very nice and you were really left to your own devices, so had complete freedom. Very happy here.

It's better if direction can be provided on the web page. you'd better call the B&B owner on arrival as he doesn't live in the same place. Luckily we met him by coincidence outside his B&B and he brought us in. You can use the kitchen with microwave and fridge. I like the opened panoramic terrace where you can have great view and dry your clothes.
