Bed and Breakfast Sierra Vento - Noto

Beautiful scenery on top of the hill offered by very friendly and helpful owners. The rooms facing South have a view over the sea, the town of Noto and the valley around with citrus, almond and olive orchards; the rooms to the North overlook the rocky hills nearby with the Etna in the background - pretty gorgeous view in all directions. As the house is on the hilltop (400 meters above the sea level, 7km away and 300 meters above Noto) i recommend renting a car to approach it, or be prepared for some serious hiking. I very much suggest to stay in Sierra Vento for those looking for some isolation and peace in a beautiful scenery. The owners, Vincenzo and Antonella were really friendly and helpful, they suggested sites to visit, prepared nice breakfast every day, and helped me around in anything I needed. Their young kids are both really adorable, I felt treated like a guest in the family.

This is a great little secluded B&B on a mountain top with quite stunning views in all directions and a nice couple owning and running it. The only negative came from a noisy front door, whose seal was howling most of the night due to strong winds. If the owner solves this, I would give it a perfect 10, especially with respect to the price.

We stayed 4 nights in Noto and the temperaures reached 40°: air conditionned will be necessary! the breakfast was poor without any fruit or typical pastries

We had a perfect stay, the isolated position of the house was exactly what we were looking for, and we enjoyed the evenings on the balcony overlooking Noto very much. Vincenzo and Antonella gave us a warm welcome and were helpful in every respect. We would always choose Sierra Vento again.

Das Haus liegt ausserhalb von Noto und ist nur mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Die Lage ist sehr schön und ruhig. Unsere Gastgeber waren wirklich sehr nett und haben uns gute Tipps für Ausgehen und Ausflüge gegeben. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Für uns war es die beste Unerkunft unserer Sizilienreise, das Preis-Leistungsverhältins war einfach genial.

Vincenzo & Antonella privided us a wonderful stay and welcome. Good value and can thoroughly recommned. The surroundings were unique with beautiful views, and Noto was a very special town.

The room was clean with a beautiful view and the furniture and decoration were in excellent taste. But there were no facilites except for sleeping (no comfortable chairs to sit in or a table in the room, let alone a fridge), and the owners made it clear that one was not welcome anywhere else on the premises (including the yard). This made one feel like an intruder into a family and meant that all one could do was lie on the bed or go out to the nearest town (Noto)about 7 km away. The premises are impressively located on a mountainside but not easily accessible even with a car. The couple who run the establishment are outwardly polite, but not particularly hospitable or service-minded - a breakfast agreed on for 8 o'clock was not provided until nearly 9. One of the proprietors promised maps and recommendations for places to eat but never produced them. In view of these faults we shortened our stay there from three nights to one.

Everything was fine, except the noise of an water pump we could hear in our room all night (it was not too bad because we was tired and had a good sleep). The owners are very friendly. We enjoyed our 2 Days at Sierra Vento.
