Bed and Breakfast Noto - Noto

We chose Noto B&B for price alone. It's in a narrow house that looks like a set from a 70s Italian working class movie, and is rather dark, with long stairs, a murky hallway, and rather scary plumbing. The proprietor is very friendly and helpful, (he matches the furniture), but no one lives there and there is no one on site at night. It's very close to the main attractions and an easy walk but the street is deserted. The saving grace is the roof terrace for breakfast, which has a spectacular view of the rooftops of the old city and the surrounding hills.

We booked a double room, and was given a room like an apartment with kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom. There is also a lovely balcony. Too extravagant for us! It's clean and new, and will be ideal for a family that can spend some days wandering in the little town. But for persons who travel by train, this hotel is far from the train station. And please travel to Noto by BUS, not by train. The train station is far from everything!

Good location, easy parking across the road. Owner helpful. Bit of street noise but settles down at night. Very happy with this B&B and would stay there again, especially if arriving by car.

Las habitación que nos dieron parecía sacada del castillo de la Familia Monster... Olía a orín y estaba poco ventilada. El desayuno no fue lo que prometían y en era en el bar enfrente de la catedral (sitio muy bonito, camarera muy antipática) La localización del BB no obstante, es ideal y muy céntrica.

Gentilissimi, nella nostra camera c'era perfino un cucinotto con tanto di stoviglie. Aria condizionata, arredamento familiare, a due passi dall'inizio della zona pedonale del centro di Noto. Curioso vi fanno fare la colazione al chiosco bar di fronte al Duomo (davvero panoramico) o in un altro bar lì vicino, con una sorta di "buono pasto" da spendere!

Breakfast was served offsite in two possible in-town cafes: initially, the night we arrived, we could not find those places because the addresses we had been given by the B&B manager were illegible. We had to go back to the B&B to have those establishments placed on a map, and have their names repeated. Breakfast was very skimpy because it allowed only one croissant.

The room was in poor shape when we stayed there. Breakfast was at an inexpensive cafe in the middle of the city.

Very hard to find if you take the wrong entrance to town. It is well located and the rooftop terrace is a nice place to watch the sun go down.

The showercabin was VERY small. It was hard to move around. I couldn't reach my feet. We had the room on the ground floor, street side. This room is noisy. Kitchen and roofterrace are available for clients.

The owner gave us a warm welcome and could provide some excellent recommendations for restaurants and cafes in the surrounding area. If you like traditional sicilian (sea-) food - go there ! If you speak some basic italian communication is much easier, as owner does not speak foreign languages. Our suite in the villa was big and comfortable, with aircon and frigerator, terrasse and parking for our rental in front of the house, located in a quiet area. Walking distance to baroque Noto city. Overall: very recommendable.

Very good value for money. The location is very close to town center. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Free car parking just in front of the door. Only cash payment.

Owner is lovely, very keen to help though english not great. Accom very clean and well located. Breakfast voucher for cute cafe on square in town (200m) is very nice - sit outside under umbrella.

A great place to stay!! Clean and comfortable. Very kind and helpful owner. The bar where you have breakfast is in a lovely piazza. Highly recommended!

The B&B was a little difficult to find as Noto is a much larger town than we initially thought. Nevertheless, we found it on the second pass through town so I guess that's not too bad. The B2B was extremely clean and the rooms were large and comfortable. The heat worked very well and there was plenty of hot water. We were greated by either the owner or a staff member (it was unclear) who provided us with a great map of Noto, including the locations of numerous restaurants with comments (good food, delicious cake or not too expensive), all of which were in English, which was very very helpful. Noto is a lovely town and the B2B is just a couple of blocks from the Baroque downtown. The B&B did not serve breakfast. Instead, they gave us vouchers for a "roman" breakfast (rolls and coffee) at a nearby cafe. It worked out just fine. We were able to park our car on the street right outside of the B&B. We had a pleasant stay.
