Fantastic value for money for the Cote D'Azur, very convenient for public transport. A great host, very friendly dogs and the free internet access was a nice touch. The best continental breakfasts that I have ever had!

Villa Saphir surpassed what we expected in value. The help and support we got in settling in and getting orientated were excellent, the place and surrounds called for us to relax and enjoy ourselves, easy access to buses on the doorstep made getting around easy. the location being in easy walking distance to the beach, shops, station and markets was a great relief in working out how to get to any location. Staff and residents at the hotel were warm and welcoming and created a warm homey feel to the place, if you have a love for beautiful old things this is the place to be in as the decor has been kept in time with the building. Absolutely loved the place a definite to return to.

Landlady was very helpful - anytime we needed advice. Breakfast was big enough with lots of types of breads. We could use internet for free anytime. The only negative thing was the noice from the main street (especially during the night) and the absent of the air-condition. Overall we can recommend this accomodation.

My stay at Villa Saphir was very pleasant! It is a bit far from the beach. But very easy to reach Old Nice and beaches by bus which goes often and cost just 1 Euro. My room was big, decorated in Victorian style, bed comfortable. There was internet in the villa, kitchen if you want to cook yourself, fridge. Owner was very friendly and helpful. She gave me the map and explained everything, gave some great advices where to go and how to get there, showed books about places. Breakfast was included. I liked to have it on the balcony :) She has some nice home made jams and always fresh bread that i liked so much. There are 3 very friendly dogs in the villa, if you like animals you will really enjoy your morning breakfast :). My stay at Villa Saphir was very pleasant! I would recommend it to everyone !!! And of course happily return again :)

Annie was the loveliest, most warm-hearted lady who couldn't do enough for us. Villa Saphir is actually 2 separate buildings, both charming and quirky. Nice location with good bus service, although it is also possible to walk everywhere. Breakfast was pleasant and plentiful. Yes, Annie does have 2 beloved dogs who were clean and well behaved. Would happily recommend Villa Saphir to the budget-minded traveller.

Gate was shut when I arrived so a bit off putting as a welcome! Alittle far out and noisy as it is on a busy road but I did stay at the back of the B and B.A On a positive note great woman who run's it lovely dog's and great use of a bike!!! Also fab breakfast each morning and use of a full kitchen as Nice was so,so,so expensive but beautiful.

This B&B is perfect for people who wants to save some money being not far from the centre and the beach... 20 min by walk from the beach and 10 from the centre of Nice. The building is a tipical villa and the room was ok, the only thing was the bathroom that is too small. Good breakfast with very nice baguettes and jams. In general I'd say perfect match for the money you pay.

Should tell the travellers to take bus number 4 from TGV station to the Villa. The bus stop is just in front of the house. The breakfast is very good. The Madame is very nice and the public area with TV, kitchen, PC, Big refrigerator are great. Also free internet is available. I highly appretiate the hospitality that Villa Saphir offered during my 3 nights stay there.

The hospitality exceeded my expectations - much better than any posh, expensive hotel. The room was spacious and clean and Ms. Moreno was went out of her way to make me as comfortable as possible, giving me also a lot of practical information on Nice and the surrounding areas. Thank you, Anne!

We stayed at Villa Saphir for over a week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We originally booked for 2 nights, and then were up off into the alps. However, after a change of plan, we rang to see if we could return to Nice, and fortunately there was a room available for us. Annie made us so welcome, and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfasts were different to our usual fare, but she encouraged us to try the different cheeses etc. of the region, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. The villa is within very handy walking distance of the train station, #7 bus stops right outside the property, and it's only a 45min. walk to the promenade and the markets in 'old Nice.' The antiques market is on Mondays, but the general markets are other days. The colours, the goodies, the smells mmmm!!! Look for the artist 'finger painting' on little mirrors. Brilliant. Shops, cafes, patisseries, street markets are all within a 5 min. walk. So convenient. The kitchen facilities were handy. A fridge and computer for visitors was avail too. And to make it feel more like home, Bob and Leah the dogs, welcomed us. The shower/toilet facilities were a bit 'squeezy' but it wasn't an issue. We can't speak highly enough of our stay with Annie. She really went out of her way, we felt, to make our stay in Nice so enjoyable.

I traveled together with my family, daughter and husband, we had good time, Annie - the host - is wonderful, very kind and attentive to our needs and interests, we appreciated the food in the mornings and the house, although some people may regard the place as a little bit noisy and the toilets as not absolutele comfortable, but we think that was not important. A Nice place to stay in Nice! Even though a little bit far from the center, there are direct busses to it and the train station. Welcoming makes you feel at home.

The accomodation is simple but very clean. The wholy equipped kitchen and dining room are available at all times, as well as a terrace. The land lady was extremely helpful, gave us much useful information, leaflets and maps and moreover, told us a lot about the local area, the way of life and Franch culture in general. Her homely made and prepared French breakfast was just a delicious!

This establishment is a very poorly run sideline for the owner who is pretty incompetent at running a B&B. There is no reception so it's pure luck if she is there when you arrive. Our luck wasn't great and we had to wait around for her to turn up with no obvious signs for which property it is or even how to get in. Also street noise is pretty excessive making for a poor night's sleep. For the price it is definitely disappointing, avoid if possible.

The B&B is in on a main street and does not look very attractive from outside, but don't be put off! It's delightful inside. The landlady gave us a five-star welcome and a long cold drink (it was a very hot day!) and was helpful and friendly way beyond the call of duty in finding us a place to stow our heavy luggage so we didn't have to carry it up the stairs. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful, eaten on the terrace surrounded by trees. Animal lovers note: the landlady has two dogs, very friendly and well-behaved. There is free wi-fi Internet connection for guests.

The lady owner is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room is very small and basic but if you are like me, not too interested in the extra stuff in a standard 3 star hotel, just want a clean room and friendly staff and good vlue for money, this is the place! I specially enjoyed the breakfast time on the balcony in the morning and talking to the lady owner who told me a few things about Nice - a nice way to discover the beautiful city's history, food and people! I'd go back there again if I was to go to Nice again. The location of the place is a bit far from the city centre if you don't like walking, but there is bus right in front of the villa and only cost 1 Euro & takes 5 mins to the centre! There is also a wonderful fruit/veg. market near the villa, if you're interested in where the local people go to buy their daily food and wouldn't mind cooking for yourself sometime during your stay! There is also free internet for guests in the villa. Prepare to pay cash at the end of your stay if you don't want to pay extra charges for credit card transaction.

We had also the car parking in front of the home...the shower is not so hot....
