We stayed in a three bed room. The room was lovely. We were just missing a chest for stroing clothes and some hooks. We had a warm welcome and the place is very central. Only 7 min from the station and 10 min from the town centrer and beach.

I really loved my stay here. It has a personal approach, it is not as sterile and impersonal as hotels normally are but lovely and charming. The location is great, close to the city centre and the station, easy to reach by public transport.

Good place to stay in Nice, two blocks from train station & Blvd. des Anglais. Direct bus to airport. Run by a nice, young French woman who serves a great breakfast. Good TV and common frigo where I left drinks that no one touched. I would stay again.

We left early in the morning so we did not get much of a breakfast In fact it was very poor and spoilt overall impression of property We were charged for breakfast which we could not really find other than some bread and jam which I suppose is a continental breakfast... no tea or coffee served up in a laundry....but basically our fault cause we had left early. otherwise rooms were very nice with high ceilings and comfortable and close to railway station and easy to find. shared bathroom.

This was a nice place to stay. It's not the Ritz but you're not paying for the Ritz either! It was good value, very clean, simple and friendly. The neighbourhood is good and it's an easy 5-10 min walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, train station etc. It's nice to have a policy for people to be quiet at night because the rooms aren't that soundproof to what's happening in the hotel during the day - i.e. breakfast or hallway conversation. However the windows are good quality and block out most of the traffic noise plus the shutters keep it quite dark and cool in summer. Breakfast was simple but fresh and more than adequate. I would stay here again and definitely recommend it.

Rooms were ok, especially for the price we paid for. The problem only is... you cant even talk normally, you are required not to make any kind of noise. We were already whispering and still you are asked to keep quiet. No privacy. Very strict on any kind of noise. So difficult to stay in a place like this. Good thing, we only stayed for a night

the hotel is quite close to center town. There are two bathrooms for 4/5 double rooms. We had a room just close to the "hotel office" where there was one of the employer who sleep there during the night so no privacy at all! But for the price (there where a discount so just 45E) it was ok! For a night I suggest it!

Pros: 1. Central location 8 minutes from La Gare Nice Ville and 8 minutes from the Promnade des Anglais 2. Value for Money 3. Owners very friendly and helpful 4. Good security. The establishment is on the first floor and you need three keys from ground floor to finally gain access to your room Cons: 1. With the exception of Room Mozart, shared toilet and bathroom facilities (but you will know this if you have read the details/description carefully). I stayed for 7 nights, but next time would pay the extra for Room Mozart with its double bed and ensuite facilities 2. Perhaps it was my fault, but I was expecting some sort of B&B sign on the outside of the building. There is not one. Nice Home Sweet Home is on the first floor and there are 11 other establishments with Access Buzzers beside the front door. Initially I thought that I had got the wrong building and walked up and down the street. The front door is diagonally opposite the entrance to the underground Car Park Mozart on the Rue Rossini 3. There is a Notice Board on the front door of Nice Home Sweeet Home with notes about when the Owner will next be around to let you in, BUT THIS IS INSIDE THE BUILDING SO NOT THAT USEFUL IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE ON THE STREET If you arrive tired and not up to walking around looking for somewhere to eat, I would suggest you walk one block over to La Verdi which is situated on the corner of Rue Auber and Rue Verdi. I only saw French people there and the food and drink was reasonably priced as far as Nice is concerned and they sell Pelforth Blonde on tap, which can never be a bad thing.

Our choice was a very lucky one: spacious room with en-suite, interesting and original furniture, flat recently renovated in very good taste, good location near a park and a parking area (price in the average), nice couple the owners and very nice Miss Emilia at the reception: we did feel like home. Only one shortcoming, according to us:breakfast at 9 is too late for people who want to move early and go sightseeing; 8 o'clock would please most.

Perfect perfect perfect except for 3 things. Bathroom shower design causes moist situation and very musty smell...had to keep door closed to prevent mildew aroma out of sleeping area. We found the directions misleading from the train station. We turned left instead of right and ended up in a very 'seedy' area at night. Directions need clarification. The windows totally insulated the traffic noise outside but could not open for air because the traffic noise was deafening...maybe request quieter room in back opening to courtyard.

This was my first, but I hope not my last, stay at Home Sweet Home. I had 7 nights in a single room in April and loved it. Geneveve is very charming and helpful, she makes you feel at home. The place is aptly named, like your own little nest in Nice. There have been so many good reviews about Home Sweet Home that it is difficult to find anything to add. Sufficient to say is that on the morning I left I found my flight home cancelled due to the volcanic dust cloud. I then stayed in the Park Inn Hotel for the next 6 nights courtesy of Easyjet. Full marks to them. The Park Inn is a very nice Hotel but I would rather have been in Home Sweet Home.

We stayed 2 nights at Nice Home Sweet Home (sept 30-Oct 2). It has a good location, and it is easy to reach the main areas by foot. (You must visit The Russian Church - only a few minutes to walk) Our room was nice, spacious and clean, and we had a good night sleep in our bed! There are only two toilets/bathrooms,so if you want to shower in the morning it`s possible you must wait for your turn. This we felt was no problem. There is also a huge fridge available for the visitors, and you can buy cold drinks and wine - even champagne - at cheap prices! We rented a car during our stay in France, and we parked the car in Mozart car park just opposite Home Sweet Home. If you are interested in art - and have time enough - you must visit Fondation Maeght at St-Paul-de-Vence(You can also reach it by bus). A great experience !

The owner was very friendly and sat and chatted to the guests at breakfast. She also leant me a towel and beach mat to go off to the beach the next day. I thought it was a very good deal for a single room, nice, spacious, quirky. My room was a little noisier than others as I was on the street, but there wasn't much traffic at night and I bought earplugs anyway, so it wasn't a problem. It's a lovely old building. I had a very comfortable stay and felt very looked after. I would have liked to spend more than one night there.

The confimation mail contained this "Check-in: the rooms are available from 9 a.m. until 12.30 p.m". We took this to mean 30 minutes after midnight (we had never had to check in before 4 och 5 p.m. before), and arriving in the evening about 8 were lucky to meet a regular guest of the B&B who let us in and helped us. It's just gorgeous! It's not luxury, shared bathrooms and no internet, but rooms are spacious. in a quite living area five minutes from the train station and less than 10 minutes to the beach. You will have your own keys to the building, apartment and your room, you can use their kitchen, which makes you feel like living in a self catering apartment. They've only got one hour for breakfast, because they serve the breakfast only once for all the guests, so every body sits around a big dinning table, chatting.very social atmosphere. The stuffs are really warm, and make you feel like being invited to a friends' place. I will definitely come to this B&B again next time visiting Nice. But I don't recommend it to those on business trips as they don't have wifi.

Most of the time, the person encharged was a very young woman, absolutely unable to solve any problem. We waited two days for a man able enough to reprogram the TV set in order to be able to use it. The room service did not existed. We did our bed every day and the towels were not replaced. This place is a real gem. It is a unique B@B in Nice. It is located just two blocks from the sation and about a ten minute walk to Promenade de Anglais. The owners are very friendly but they are not there most of the time so it's a little like staying in an apartment where you are free to do you own thing. Use of the washing machine , drier and iron was a God send. Cold drinks including bottled water are sold at cost price. The rooms are quite spacious and the communial large breakfast table is geat for chatting to other guests in the morning. You would be hard pressed to find a better value place to stay in Nice. The only downside is the streets are very noisy outside the bedroom windows until about 5am in the morning, so you need to sleep with the windows closed. The other slightly worrying thing was there are no smoke alarms, fire extingushers or fire alams, But as you are only one floor up I guess you could always tie sheets to the balcony to climb down in case of emergency! But overall I really enjoyed my two week stay and met some amazing people. It certainly felt like Home Sweet Home and I will definately stay there again on my return to Nice.

I stayed in home sweet home from Thursday to Tuesday to compete in Ironman Nice. The location is fairly central and easy walking distance to most sites. The single room I had was quite small, basic but clean - the street outside was quite noisy until midnight - later at weekends. No tea, coffee making facilities in room. French TV. No bedside lamp or air conditioning. However, it is excellent value for money - owners are very friendly and really helpful - great to be able to use the kitchen to make something to eat. Breakfast is bread and jam tea or coffee - sitting at a big table with rest of guests. Very sociable. I would go back and I would recommend to others too!

Very pleasant bed and breakfast with large rooms and large shared bathroom. Single beds are not recommanded for very large people. The breakfast is very simple (bread, jam, juice, coffee) but very good. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. There is no TV in the single rooms and no internet connection but there are cybercafés around. You need to speak English because most of the guests are English speakers and everybody is chatting at breakfast.

We were there 6 nights and while on the one hand the welcoming was very positive and an additional guest was accommodated with email prior to this what was not made clear was that this meant no private bathroom. The two public bathrooms were iffy--in one the shower overflowed and the other was quite grotty--dirty trim around sink and dirty shower curtain. The bathrooms were our biggest complaint particularly considering this could have easily been cleaned up. The other was that breakfast was not available until 9 a.m. which is late considering many travellers were taking day trips. The breakfasts we were there for were quite acceptable with croissants, bread, jams, juice, coffee. The location is very convenient and a 10 minute walk to train station. In some ways it has a more hostel feel and is certainly not a bed and breakfast as it is thought of in North America.

I enjoyed my stay very much. Genevieve, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. It is rather small, very quiet and a very nice family atmosphere. The people that stay there come from many different backgrounds, so backpackers have breakfast together with bussiness men taking a rest between two flights and e.g. a elderly couple on vaccation. There is breakfast with all guests at a huge table every morning, which takes at least one hour as very many interesting conversations emerge between the very different guests. If I am in Nice again, this will be my first step when searching for accomodation.

I missed a label in front of the house. I thought I would be wrong, it is a house with doctors and only when you looked through the different bells you saw that you were right; in addition the owner said normally you should have asked me for my exact arrival and departure time. Small but charming B&B with home atmosphere. The location is also good, not so crowded area, but also not far from SNCF station and seaside. You can get hot water and cup from kitchen, also can get drink and use washer and dryer by paying a little money. Breakfast is simple but excellent, guests sit around the table, eat and talk together, but starting in 9am is actually too late. The only worse is the heater system doesn't work well in winter, at night, in the room is so cold. They don't accept credit card, I didn't know it previously, and I didn't prepare so much cash.

Price location and cleanliness were fine. A big improvement would be a comfortable public room for travellers to meet and socialise rather than everyone in their own room not talking as was the case. It was also very cold in the rooms the owner did turn the heating up a bit on request, it was still very cold. Would recommend a visit outside of winter months. There are two bathrooms to share between the rooms and a couple of mornings there was no hot water. My comments reflect the views of several fellow travellers staying at the same time.

Lovely place, central in the city. Everything within walking distance. Lovely staff and also friendly, quiet and nice guests. Regarding safety: when noone from the staff is sleeping at the premises, what safety would a girl have? (If someone should try to get into her room). My surname is Fowels-Landmark. (Capital L). We booked for 2 nights, but stayed for one week (Saturday to Saturday. Except for one night, when there was no available room. We left our luggage and returned next morning). Please, correct.

What a fantastic place this is. Better than the hotel I stayed at prior to arriving at Nice Home Sweet Home. The owner was very informative about the area and was always very helpful. Nice as a city, is noisy in terms of traffic and you can't ever get away from that. The B&B was quiet in terms of the other guests but being off two roads meant having loud traffic until after midnight. I would definately stay here again. It really was a gem.

We really enjoyed our stay at Nice and the location of this B&B was great...very close to the main train station, easy access from the airport since the buses drop you close by, and about a 7 minute leisurely walk to the beach. Also, the room was very large, bright and clean and spacious. This was our first experience with a B&B and we were so impressed. Gabrielle is very sweet and welcoming. Merci!
