Soggiorno Sansevero - Naples

If you don't book in the morning be aware to get the key at the cafe opersite the pallazzo.

Great location. The nicest room (large with vaulted ceilings and rather nice furniture)is the one meant for 4 people. The other ones are fine though. Breakfast is the poor side of the offer.

This is a very convenient location, and the hotel does an excellent job of marketing itself. It did not live up to our expectations. The staff was very friendly, the room spacious, and breakfast above average. On the other hand, they kept my passport for the entire 2 night stay (every other hotel handed it back in 2 or 3 minutes). One night a couple was ringing the outside doorbell when we arrived. We opened the door with our key, but couldn't find any staff anywhere in the hotel. The shower barely had hot water and the showerhead sprayed water outside the shower. The water pump outside our room made some noise, but not enough to disturb us. Overall, it was dissapointing for the money. If I were returning to Naples, I would look for something better, but if I couldn't find anything, I would stay here again.

Couln't fit us in to the Soggiorno Sansevero so we ended up booking a room in the sister hotel Palazzo D'Oria Dangri. This was a little bit more expensive but great location, on Via Toledo really close to Santa Chiara and all the major sites in the Centro Storico of Naples. The hotel restaurant provides a taste of real Neapolitan cuisine. No menu though. You take what's going on the night. Which was great, we didn't know what was going to come next. Excellent food though. For two of us it was only 35 euro, Phew! Really recommended.

Fairly modest accommodation in a grand, if somewhat run down Neapolitan building, with more than adequate breakfast and great location in the old town centre. This is not yet another hotel, but more like renting a flat in the heart of down-to-earth Naples. Room 5 has a very small bathroom and a noisy water pump just outside the window, but the view from the balcony (into a charming inner courtyard) will make you forget all the imperfections. Good value for money, a place to remember.

There was not always somebody at the reception desk, per exemple, an entire evening on the friday. Otherwise, a very gentle guy who was there on thursday gave me very good informations about the therms.

The area was frightening at night. Apparently the plaza is a meeting point for punks and drug addicts. My wife was verbally assaulted leaving her taxi by a drunk in front of the entrance. There is no sign for the hotel which is on the 7th floor of a multi story apartment building. The airconditioning didn't work. We couldn't leave the window open due to the noise from the drunks in the street. The Desk Clerk was friendly and helpful. The room was sparse but clean. I must say, it was a mistake for me to choose this hotel.

The Hotel is small but friendly. Well located and the staff are first class!

When we arrived, no one was on duty and we did not see anyone until next late morning. Room key was given by parking lot attendant and he did not speak English. I had to bother a guests from Germany to find out things which were nescessary. Otherwise it is very good hotel and we will use this hotel again. The hotel location is excellent.
