From the attic you can see the domes of the churches of Decumano Maggiore. You can also live the magic experience of seeing the Vesuvio, the sea, and the Vomero's Hill. Absolutely clean. The interior decoration is finally quite efficient: all white, simply but well equipped, flowers and plants, something between uncluttered, cosy and modern ikea style. The hotel itself is very quiet but as it is situated in the old city of Naples you will probably hear the Neapolitan atmosphere sometimes. Breakfast on the roof terrace is nice. The host was great: very helpful and very kind. I would recommend the hotel if you like simple but spotless places and nice people.

I have really enjoyed my stay at Zia Maria. It is at prime location (right opposite from San Lorenzo Maggiore) and within walking distance to all tourist attractions in the centro storico area, and yet it managed to retain a sense of peacefulness and quietness once you stepped into Zia Maria. The room and common area are clean and well-maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at Zia Maria again when I visit Naples again.

This is a very nice place after the initial shock of the the entry which is a dark and dank courtyard. Our room was bright and spacious and was completely decorated with Ikea products. We were promised a balcony but our room did not have one. The breakfast was decent, but nothing to write home about. The staff is very friendly but have limited English abilities (which is OK since I have limited Italian abilities.)

We loved the B&B - people were very pleasant, room was quite spacious, loved overlooking the square and over at the church - to hear the church bells right next to us - not obnoxious but pleasant. It was all quite nice - and all disguised behind a metal garage door!

zia maria is a wonderful b+b in all its details - definitely exceeding our expectations and its price range in all aspects. very comfortable beds, good bathrooms, airy, immaculately clean, spacious, quiet, elegant, wifi excellent, air conditioning good, home-made cake for breakfast. we recommend this highly as a naples base. we hope to return both to naples and zia maria as soon as we are able.

Nice and warm welcome and a wonderful bright room with view to one of the many churches and a nice square (not that quiet - be we enjoyed it very much - it was Napoli!). Unluckily the elevator was broken, when we wanted to leave...so we had to took the stairs from the 5th floor - but not that bad - we were helped to get a taxi, we got an exellent tip for dinner - and we had a phantastic view to the vesus while we had breakfast!!!!

Wonderful, quiet b&b on top floor of apartment building in the very center of the Centro Storico. Terrace with views, very comfortable room, wifi, great AC, walk to everything. My dream come true for staying in Napoli.

First time in Naples and Zia Maria was just the right place to start our travel to Italy. It has the best location, rooms are spacious and luminous and they have a computer for the use of the guests. It is on the 5th. floor of a building in the historical center, with elevator, and the owners are very helpful. Couldn't think of a better option for next time...

We felt almost at home with the excellent services and comfortable lodging at Zia Maria B&B. Maria welcomed us with open arms and explained every detail required for our trip. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious, almost like a haven of calm and tranquility amidst the chaotic streets below. Complete with Internet access, breakfast at the rooftop (where one oversees Mt Vesuvius and the Mediterranean sea), and friendly hosts, it may be the best B&B yet. Found right in the middle of centro storico, this place is a mere 2 mins walk to the famous Pizzeria Sorbillo, and surrounded by churches, markets, cafes, bars and trattorias. Very value for money. If you are looking for a safe place to stay in Napoli, yet having the most authentic Neapolitan experience at your doorstep, Zia Maria Home is the best to be.

We stayed for a very short -but intense- week-end in the season of May and it was very nice to have 2 rooms that communicated between each other. The views are fantastic. I presume there are very few rooms (4, 5, 6?). Breakfast is excellent. Design and interiors are best ever seen. Rooms were spacious and most comfortable. No wi-fi but a computer at your disposal for free 24h. Frankly, for me and family, we were very happy and very satisfied with this charming place in the heart of amazing city-town of Naples, placed in the historic ancient area with many eating, drinking, music and coffee spots at two steps distance. Also air conditioning. very glad to have discovered it for a 1st Napoli visit.

Very pretty place. Amazing location in the core of historical center, on a square with several churches or palaces. Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated in a very sober way. We had a great time there. Be cautious to properly announce the time you will arrive. We had to wait 30 minutes before someone came to open the door, as they expected us later.

A most enjoyable and memorable stay--New Year's Eve in Naples is an extraordinary experience and made particularly so by the warm welcome and excellent food of Tonia Brangi and her family. The location, in the heart of old Naples is extremely interesting, but not necessarily for the unadventurous

Our stay at Zia Maria was everything one could expect in a B &B located in a historic centre of an old city. The room was large and modern with free internet access and a good breakfast. The owner was very welcoming and helpful, even though he spoke little English and my poor Italian. Great location in the old part of town but a little tricky to find. I suspect the guy who sells papers in the shop, in the square ,gets lots of questions about where it is. Minor problem. Definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to stay in the old town. I felt very safe and would stay there for my next trip to Napoli.

First impression when you enter the building is awful. However, once you have found your way to the top floor where the hotel is, it's a very different picture. Location is prime, close to everything like Duomo, old town, quirky shops, quaint pizzerias, etc. Owners don't speak any English but more than make up for it in genuine Neapolitan warmth of service and almost family welcome.

Very special, beautiful, quiet place in the heart of Napoli. Room decoration very simple, stilish and tasteful. The owner was very friendly and did everything to make the stay for us and especially our three year old "bimba" agreeable. We especially enjoyed the breakfast on the terrace with beautiful view over the roofs of old Napoli to the sea and the Vesuvio. Will certainly come back there!

We can really recommend Zia Maria Home to all guests: in a very central and pleasant spot of the city, with a very warm welcome of Roberto and his daughter, beautifully renovated rooms: grand old building and 21th century interoir with lots of taste, a nice breakfast terrace, free limoncello and a beautiful view from your window. The only remark ight be, that the website doesn't show it as ity is: reality is better!

Zia Maria is well located right in the centre of all the sights including within walking distance to the greatest pizza place in town. It is very very clean, the bed comfortable and the shower wasn't tiny like others in Italy. Perhaps one of the best things about it is the service and the man that runs it. He provided us with a nice breakfast and was of great help even though we don't speak any italian!
