More than a B&B, it seems to be at home. Angelo, the owner and Dario, his son are very kind persons, helpful and useful source of tips and information about the possible tours in this wonderful city. The B&B is located in a quiet area near the city center. it is very very clean and provided with spacious rooms. Breakfast is abundant and always rich of fresh brioches. Definately to recommend and to come back soon!

An oasis of calm in the madness that is Naples, especially for the first time visitor. We were made most welcome from the start, breakfasts were good, and plentiful, and our hosts initial briefing and map of the area was most helpful and allowed us to get around easily and safely from the start.

The B&B is located at 2min walk from the Archelogical museum and metro station, and 10min walk from the city center. The B&B street seems to be very OK (safety,...) for the Naples standards. The B&B itself is located in a inner square protected from the street noice. Hosts are very welcoming: the father is very king and smiling but doesn't speak French/English; he is helped by his son who speaks English. The main negative point is the bed which we found very hard.

The location is not too far from the city center (old town) - you can reach it easily on foot or by bus. the room is really clean but a bit noisy. we stayed there in December and I must say that the heating system is not really well working. I suggest to wait a couple of hours before getting a shower after your roommate, just to avoid freezing! the breakfast is simply delicious!

The family who ran the hotel were the most gracious and hospitable hosts I have ever met. They knew restaurants, internet cafes, museums, transportation information and even allowed us to borrow an umbrella and change when we were soaked from the rain. They made wonderful recommendations and were as gracious as I could ever have hoped, given I brought my 6 year old son with me to see Pompeii. The other guests were families, business travelers, and couples who were very friendly and resourceful for our stay. I would recommend the B&B for location to the National Museum, Dante Piazza and train station. Breakfast was delicious and very typical Napoli with a personal touch. Loved the morning Napolese cafe! Wonderful!

Dario and Angelo were the perfect hosts. The bed and breakfast is just a short walk from the archeological museum and we found it extremely easy to get around. For those unfamiliar with Naples and the metro, note that while most city maps mark all metro stops with the same color, there are two different lines. To arrive at Terra Mia from Garibaldi without taking a cab, get on the metro at Garibaldi (blue line), and go one stop to Piazza Cavour (from binario 4). When you exit the station at Cavour, walk uphill (this was to the right in our case, but there may be different exits). The walk to Terra Mia does have a bit of an incline, so if you have a lot of luggage, you may want to hail a cab, which can be easily done at the cab stand either at Garibaldi or at Cavour (which will cost about half the price, ours was six euro with tip). Enjoy your time in Naples!

We are a family of four and are used to travelling and staying in small accomodations. We had a huge, clean, spacious street facing room which with double glazing and shutters blocked off most of the sound, we had comfortable beds and slept well. We enjoyed the area, as we liked the antiques, the national museum and a more local experience. Angelo was a competent, friendly and welcoming host and explained important, interesting landmarks and restaurants to visit. We walked everywhere and most things to see were not too far away. Breakfast was adequate with fresh bread and pastries and there was a fruit shop 50 m plus other small deli's if we needed more for the children. The value for money was excellent for a family of four. We would definitely stay here again next visit.

We stayed in Terra Mia for 3 nights in middle of April 2011. The B&B is walkable distance to the historical centre of Naples, not far from the underground station. It is advisable to look at google maps before you travel. The entrance door to the hotel is not very well marked and easily missed. The actual accommodation looks very nice, rooms are clean, more than spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately our room like most others had window onto the main busy road. Even after closing outside and inside shutters including soundproof PVC door/window the noise at night was difficult to ignore. And please be aware it never stops! The breakfast is very simple, basic choice of cereals, filled croissants, tea or coffee, some days yogurts, nothing fancy and a bit boring if you stay for few nights, forget healthy eating or having substantial breakfast to start your day. This is definitely something they should improve on. The staff is kind and frienly, basic english, helpful. Definitely listen to the owner of the hotel when it comes to restaurant recomendation! But whatever you do and wherever you eat you won't go hungry in Naples. Food is very good and compare to Amalfi coast half a price. Naples should be amazing place to visit. The City has very old history influenced by Greaks, Romans, Moors, many sites to explore, beautiful historical buildings, museums, churches, absolutely beautiful setting with the views of Vesuvius and pretty looking bay of Naples. Many narrow streets with amazing cake shops and places to sit and enjoy your afternoon cup of coffee or tea! Unfortunately you do need to use a lot of imagination to see the beauty underneath the peeling facades, piles of rubbish on the streets, constant noise while avoiding to be run over by motorbikes and cars. Don't dare to think they stop when you have a green light while on pedestrian crossing, you must force your way through! I would definitely not recommend coming to Naples with small children. The bed and breakfast is near the National Museum, so it is well located but in a steep and noisy street because of the traffic. The service is good and both the bathroom and the bedroom are clean. The bed is comfortable too and the landlord is very kind.

Correct property, very clean and with good service. But the best are the owners, Guido and Dario: competent, cooperative, always nice and available. My son is enthusiastic of football, and could watch Spanish league matches at the common area TV even with original comments! Only drawbacks: quite degradated area (typical Napolitan, by the way), although not unsafe.

Rooms were clean and spacous and the location very Italian!Even though i had my bag stolen from the Piazza Garibaldi! I had read all the warnings too! Stay awake! You cannot afford to be off guard in Napoli! Police and the Hotel were really supportive.5 star recommendation!

Very good b&b! Extremely clean! Nice people! The descriptions matches it totally! Pictures are correct! Only drawback is the noise outside on the street, but it was mentioned in the descprition and the windows keep the noise out of the interior very well! - I'm pretty sure I'll take this b&b again!

The best B&B hotel we had in Italy, great room with professional hotel service. Breakfast is good, employee are very hospitable. But the noise is inevitable coz it's near the road. i will recommend to my friends if they could tolerate the noise during night.

We stayed in this B&B 6 nights. The room was nice. The owner Angelo is very helpful. The area is closed to everywhere, but because of this location it is very loud. Specially in the nights when you want to sleep.I took my earplugs and then it was okey. The Wespa drivers and other cars are just crazy in Italy. We thank to Angelo and if I go to Naples again I will stay there again.

I have stayed in B&B's all over the world and would rate our stay at Terra Mia as among the top. Despite a few bumps in the road with our facilities (leaking water heater and no room TV) every effort was made to remediate the situations. Our host, Angelo, could not have been more helpful and was a pleasure. The location was just a couple blocks' walk from the Museo Archaelogico and was a good jumping off point for the Centro Storico. There were numerous bus routes nearby as well for getting to farther points in the city. All in all, I would give Terra Mia my highest recommendation.

A wonderful B&B with a great location in Napoli. We were welcomed ans shown to our rooms that were very nice and also very clean. They were also bigger than we expected. Location was good, and getting there was easy, although the street is a bit steep, which is something you might want to consider if you're travelling with older people. Breakfast was good. There was coffee, juice, milk, some buns, cereal, yoghurt, jam, honey, nutella and some different sweet Italian baked goods. The owners didn't speak that much english, but they were extremely helpful and with some of my poor italian we figured it all out.

Terra Mia is a lovely B&B run by a father and son who were welcoming and friendly throughout - their passion for the history of Naples is infectious and we were treated to a history lesson during breakfast on our last morning! The rooms are comfortable and clean (and a bonus for any sports fans, as they are also decorated with Italian football memorabilia), though can be a little noisy at night due to the main road outside. Although the street Terra Mia is just five minutes from the Archaeological Museum, its slightly run down character might make some guests nervous, though it is packed full of antique shops for you to browse on the walk into town and we had no problems whilst staying there. All in all, highly recommended as a city hotel which isn't in the thick of Naples, and where you get a friendly, personal service.

The review is based on one visit, but also my professional experience; my family has been working in the hotel/restaurant/bar business for about 40 years. 1. When checking out the info, we looked for a bed and breakfast as close to the museum as possible. The very good reviews of Terra Mia made us decide to go there. We were not disappointed, not at all. 2. Room are spotless, every day being cleaned and made tidy! 3. The owner and his youngest son will go out of their way to help, to inform and to make your stay as pleasant as possible. 4. The straat were Terra Mia is located, Via Salvator Rosa, is a very very busy street; people who know Naples, understand what we are talking about. Traffic in Naples is quite something! I can not recommend this B & B enough! Excellent, excellent!!

One of my favorite B&B's on my trip! The staff was AMAZING!!! So generous and helpful, even with the language barrier all our needs were met and exceeded - if I find myself in Napoli again I know exactly where I will lay my head.

Avoid Naples if possible, it's not the safest city especially at night. We tried to use the public transportation, but got frustrated and a bit scared so we took a taxi. The Hotel was amazing. The host was extremely nice and accommodating and the rooms were perfect. It was quite, safe and they had a wonderful breakfast the next morning. I would highly recommend staying here.

This was our first trip to Naples. At first we were somewhat overwhelmed with the bustle and crowds, so Terra Mia was a wonderful haven to come back to each day. The facilities are spotless and the service was excellent. We enjoyed the daily breakfast and received much needed advice from Angelo and his son Dario.

Excellent value in terms of quality and cost. Good location, close to centre and transport. Lovely welcome, room very clean, quiet and comfortable. For directions, should indicate to only take transport to Piazza Cavour and walk past museum up to Terra Mia and not change to the underground line 1 to Piazza Dante -this seems much further than Piazza Cavour.

Sparkling clean, huge room. Properly heated (December). Very quiet, although on a busy street. Nicely and tastefully renovated and decorated. Located in a 250yrs. old building, enhances the experience of this vibrant, beautiful and romantic city. Extremely warm welcome by owner. Above average continental breakfast.

I felt really welcome at Terra Mia, staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is ideal and rooms are quiet, which is a rare find in Naples. The breakfast is fairly generous, but of course very Italian and sweet(cappuccino, brioche and biscuits). I had my own bathroom and overall I felt more I was in a cosy hotel than in a B&B. Would definitely go there again.

Terra Mia is a charming and very reasonably priced little bed and breakfast on the second floor of an old building close to the National Museum of Archeology. Although on a busy street, our room was very quiet when the windows were closed and the air conditioning was very welcome in the heat of July. The B & B itself is light and airy and has a real family feel to it, especially given the warmth and graciousness of Dario the owner and his father, Angelo. They both did everything they could to make our stay a pleasant one. Angelo upgraded our room to a larger one when he saw the number of our suitcases and even gave us a little gift when we left. He made recommendations for restaurants, travel agendas, and made sure that we tried the local pastries, which he provided in the ample breakfast buffet. After leaving Naples we realized that we had left our passports at the B & B, and he forwarded them to us in Amalfi! It is obvious that Dario and Angelo take pride in their little hotel and they have a right to. We highly recommend this B & B for anyone who would like the chance to get to know the warmth and hospitality of the Neapolitan people.

We stayed for two nights in Terra Mia close (5 min walking distance) to the Archeological museum, in a street with many furniture making shops. The street is buzy and noizy (like any street in Napels), but spacy rooms are well isolated, or not exposed to the street at all. Very clean, proper breakfast, and a very friendly owner (speaks basic kind of English). I can recommend this B&B without any hesitation

This quality B&B was more like a nice hotel. The room was enormous with a large attached bathroom and a welcoming balcony overlooked the street below. This property also ranks highly for cleanliness, quietness and for friendliness (the owners were very welcoming and personable). The only downside was the location: in the brutal summer heat, the very long and inconvenient trek (by subway and by foot) to the B&B was less than thrilling. For the price and quality, though, it is a great find for Naples.

A really good find... we were delighted by our stay at the Terra mia bed and breakfast. The room was large and clear, the staff very helpful and friendly, and although the balcony overlooked a very busy street, the sound proof window extinguished all outside noises once it was closed. The bathroom was small but modern and kept impeccably clean. The breakfast was delicious and rich, with local pastries, cereals, yogurts, and a delicious foamy cappuccino. The location close to the National Museum of archeology and at the top of one the main shopping streets, via Toledo is very practical, and it was easy to walk to most places of interest. If you want to spend some time in this romantic city, we warmly recommend this place... The owner's son also has a good restaurant on the sea front right opposite the Castel de l'Ovo, and we enjoyed a lovely dinner there watching the sunset, and some local people taking pictures of special occasions on the water front.
