Bed and Breakfast La Pedamentina - Naples

The hotel was a bit hard to find. You must take some form of transport (Funicolare, Metro, Taxi) to the top of the hill near St. Elmo's Castle, then walk down a foot path called Via Pedementina. Do not bring large rolling luggage or you are in for a rough time. The house itself is a multi-tenant old farm house set on the side of a hill overlooking Naples. It is absolutely gorgeous. The owner was a very good host. He was always willing to give us tips on getting around Naples, how to get to specific sites, etc... A+ for service. Breakfast consists of a drink (Cappuccino, Espresso, Coffee, Tea, etc...), a croissant, and a cup of water. Our cappuccinos were very well made, but we always found breakfast to be lacking. Naples is a city designed for walking. Be prepared for it. The only way to and from the B&B is by the foot path. It takes about 5 minutes to ascent or descend the stair case. Plan ahead and be prepared to get some exercise. We loved this place and would recommend it to others.

Very romantic location; wonderful sight over Naples bay from the room's windows (especially on New Year's eve fireworks as in our case :-)

A wonderful stay. The residence is along a flight of stairs, so there is no driving up to it, but the location is gorgeous and very charming. The breakfast was uncommonly good.
