We stayed only one night. The room was excelent in everyway. Great service and a nice atmosphere, very quiet. Giuliano, the owner of the bed and breakfast made everythink possible to make us feel like at home. The room where we stayed was really spacious and everything was renovated this april. what we liked most was the beautiful garden where we had breakfast. My car was safe and basically right next to us.

you are searching for a cheap and nice bed and breakfast with great service and a nice atmosphere? - here it is! we stayed for 3 nights and it was fantastic! at first the bed and breakfast can be a bit difficult too find - but the neighborhood was friendly and we really liked the view down the hill. it's not far from the center (about 20-30 min) and you have a good public connection to the city center. giuliano, the owner of the bed and breakfast, gave us a lift a few times when we wanted to go to places which where difficult to reach or just if he had time for it. Moreover, he made us feel very welcome and got some insights of the culture and history of the city. the room where we stayed was really spacious and friendly, furthermore everything was renovated this april so our room and bathroom was really new which was great. what we liked most was the beautiful garden where we had breakfast in the morning and also spend some time in the evening. all in all, the atmosphere at bouganville was great and we will definitely stay there again when we come to naples.

The room that we stayed in was not La Bouganville Napoli, which had problems with the bathroom. The agent offered us a room instead of an apartment, which ended up being in a better location but the trade-off was that we had less room for our family of five. So, I can't review the B&B. The ratings that I gave are for the room. The agent was incredibly helpful and nice, spoke excellent English, and went out of his way to get us to the train station.

The welcoming provided by our host, Giusliano, was wonderful. He met as at the airport in the evening, and the next day, our only one in Naples, took us on a sightseeing tour based on what we said our interests were. We enjoyed his knowledge, enthusiasm, and helpfulness. He is now remodeling the rooms in which we stayed to upgrade the bathroom, adding one which will make the facilities more comfortable. We highly recommend this B&B. I don't think we could have done better in Naples.

Giuliano was very kind to us! we stayed one night only, but the room and toilet was top class! we reached the place 3 hours late, and despite the game between the close rivals(napoli vs roma) going on, Giuliano gave us a very warm welcome complete with coffee and the orientation of napoli itself. the following day, we were scheduled to leave for rome, and we wanted to visit the ruins of pompeii first. but when we realised our train was leaving in an hour's time(due to our oversight), Giuliano was kind enough to carry drop us and our bags to the nearby train station despite it being a last minute decision! salutes! my only grouse would be the location is a bit out of the way but the service and the facilities would definitely overcome the negatives! i would definitely recommend this place!

The owner was great, he had great suggestions and easy directions in one of Italy's least marked cities. I had a great time and would stay again.

Found it hard to get hold of the B&B by phone after a delay at Naples airport - so ended up arriving very late and had to wake up the guy to park our car which was annoying as we had said we'd have a car with us. They didn't have a travel cot for our baby - not the end of the world, but would have been better to know when we booked! Room spacious, but hot (no air con) and noisy as it faced the road. We were a bit unlucky - I think there were other rooms that faced the back of the house instead. Breakfast in the courtyard was lovely. Fine for our brief one night stay.

We stayed there for four days between our holidays in Rome and Amalfi. The owner Guiliano gave us a vert welcomed stay and leaving and helped us with transportation. He also helped us with maps and information about the city and interesting places to go. The location was good, even it wasn't in the centre of the city, with quiet surroundings and not so hot area because of more wind. The outside area was very good for relaxing. The Mergellina area was great with restaurants and shops. On the downside, it could have been more information about what funicolar was and the funicolar was closed and information about alternatives could have been better (where to buy tickets, what kind of tickets, timetable etc).

Our stop in Naples was overnight en route between Tivoli/Rome and the Amalfi Coast and therefore there was no need to go into the Town Centre even though this would have been easy with the funicular a short walk away. Instead we took the hotel recommendation and went to a local restaurant and enjoyed a fantastic meal and good wine for a good price. The outside area at the hotel is ideal for sitting, chilling, chatting and drinking wine. Our hosts were really lovely and extremely acccomodating. The room was clean, large and quiet. The fresh Brioche from the bakery down the road made for a delicious breakfast too. This is a friendly oasis in an otherwise extremely busy city. i.e Ideal for a stop over.

Our stay at La Bouganville was a huge part of our great time in Italy. Giuliano was not only a great host, cook, and tour guide, but we feel that we have a wonderful new friend in Italy. If you have the opportunity book a stay at La Bouganville you will not be disappointed. The Daultons, Daryl, Theresa and John.

Although my stay was brief I was made to feel extremely welcomed by Giuliano and his wife. It was truly a pleasure to meet them both. The room was very nice as was my private bathroom. For anyone travelling in the area I would not hesitate to recommend La Bouganville Bed & Breakfast.

the owner Giuliano Castaldo was wonderful. The original place that we had booked with him turned out to be unavailable. He tried to reach me by email, but I was not checking it while we were travelling. So, we showed up at the B&B and he was outside waiting for us. He gave us a brief tour of Naples, then brought us to a secondary location that his wife owned, and was actually more convenient to reach from the trains. He was very accomodating, very friendly. Breakfast was simple (pastry, cookies, tea, juice, etc). Thanks Giuliano!! Continue to follow your passion!! We really enjoyed seeing your city!! Your Friends from Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Our experience at La Bouganville Napoli was wonderful because the owner, Giuliano, was like visiting an old friend or relative. He is definitely in the right line of work and is always thinking of ways to provide better service - he is interested in what you think and what pleases you. He gave us great recommendations on what to see, how to get there, what to expect. He told us about a local restaurant that had good food and atmosphere. Every morning he gave us information that helped us and when we came home in the evening, we visited with him and shared our experiences. We also discussed politics and philosophy. We also ate at Don Salvatore in Mergellina, which was quite good. Many people speak English and public transportation is excellent. On Giuliano's recommendation we bought the Arte Card and were able to ride the transit systems and visit museums and monuments very cheaply. We will be back because we didn't have enough time to see everything. Don't miss Pompeii - it is spectacular.

Giuliano was a perfect host and helped us in every way to discover the city of Naples. La Bouganville is a very warm and charming B&B with a wonderful terrace that we enjoyed each evening. Quietness of the room was only affected by the windows being open and the infamous Naples sirens. The location was great even though it was not in the "Historic District" because it was a nice part of town and was easy to get where we wanted after we learned what a funicular was. There was only one resturant in the neighborhood which was very good, but we Americans had to adjust to the 8:00 PM opening of the resturant. I definitely recommend La Bouganville B&B!
