Located in the heart of the historical centre Domus Gemi is perfectly positioned for exploring Naples. Pasquale is an excellent host and is both helpful and friendly offering plenty of information on Naples and the surrounding areas to see. He loaned us a guidebook for the duration of our stay and his recommendations on restaurants and pizzerias were spot on. If we return to Naples, we will be booking again in Domus Gemi. Clean, comfortable and value for money.

To be honest, we arrived at night and it was our first stay in Naples. The neighborhood wasn’t what we expected, but the hospitality of Pascuale make us to feel welcomed. Next morning everything seemed better. We enjoy our stay.

For my first trip to Naples I decided to stay in a B and B right in the middle of the historical center; the real Naples! I practiced Italian with the owner (Pasquale) and his friends (Ciro and Enrico). The owner is very friendly and helped me at every opportunity. The room and bathroom was clean and the internet access reliable.

When you stay at Domus Gemi you are staying in a real Naples neighborhood. I initially booked around the train station, Piazza Garabaldi, and am so very glad I changed my mind and paid a little more to stay at DG. We walked for hours around this old, old section of Naples and never had one problem. We were two women walking around at night without any worries. This would not have been possible around the Garabaldi area where we felt unsafe even in the daytime. The DG is only about 20 minutes from Piazza Garabaldi but it is a world away. We only stayed for 3 nights but even in that short period of time we got to know several of the local residents from the pizzarias and the local delis. Our room was gigantic with a large king bed and two day beds. We had two balconies overlooking the square below. We had ac available but in mid June we had enough of a breeze that we did not have to use it. The rooms were very clean. The bathroom was large and there was ample hot water with excellent water pressure. The internet in the lobby was available for guest use 24/7. Breakfast was served at a lovely little cafe directly across the street with delicious pastries in the morning. There are some stairs to walk up but this was no bother for us. Pasquale carried our bags up and down and waited with us outside the morning we left while we waited for the taxi he arranged. Two thumbs way up for Pasquale and the Domus Gemi. Bravo!!!!

This B&B is very difficult to find but it's located in the very center of Napoli. It's just next to the reputable shopping street and from window we could take picture of attractive tourist spots. Even only a few staff there, they were so nice and helpful. The 2 well known pizza restaurant are located very closed to the B&B. Don't under-estimated at the first time you see the front door of the B&B, when you get inside, the room is ok and comfortable. You will be surprised.

Pasquale was very helpful in many ways, he brought our luggage up to the third floor (60 steps) and back down again when we left, he made good visit and restaurant suggestions (don't miss the pizza at Sorbillo's), he brought us to a nearby café for breakfast (could we take a second coffee ? Perhaps offering a second cup or a second pastry would be appreciated). Pasquale is a very charming host and Domus Gemi is a very comfortable B and B. We recommend. But our legs are getting old for so many steps (we are between 60 and 65).

Your are right in the thick of things here with plenty of hustle and bustle you expect from Naples. This is not everyone's cup of tea, especially the three flights of stairs, but for us it was great. This is in the center of the historic area and most places are within easy walking distance. Cafe's and restaurants abound and you will not get a more helpful host anywhere. Many thanks to Pasquale for looking after us so well

Really nice staff! Pasquale, who owns the B&B, was very gentle during our stay, giving us useful tips of places where to eat and visit. Although there is no lift to reach the 4th floor, he carried our luggage up to his place, offering us some water as we arrived!! Very nice location, in the heart of the historical center. Rooms are cosy and silent, even on Saturday evenings when the center is crowded.

Location in the middle of old Napels. Very noisy day and night and not easy to reach. Impossible with own car We did not know that we had to climb 3 stories high with no lift. owner very nice guy but can not speak even 1 word in English!

Friendly, welcoming and helpful. Pasqual and his friends helped us with printing boardingpasses etc. Can be tricky to find in the middle of old Naples. Nice and noisy surroundings. A little expensive but I guess this is the situation in every big town. For a B&B in Naples it´s worth the money.

In the city center of the "caotic" (but very tipical!) Naples! Very close to via San Gregorio Armeno (street of the nativity scene makers) and many fine "pizzerie". Highly recommended.

We were made very welcome by Pasquale and Ciro. Rooms are excellent and in the historic centre of Naples. This provides a wonderful environment to stay though a little noisy but we were not disturbed by this, it seemed part of the charm. Breakfast was at the cafe opposite, and was a slightly confusing arrangement, but most enjoyable. Pasquale kindly allowed us to leave our bags with him for several hours after we had checked out. I recommend Naples!

We weren't sure what to expect in Naples, but since it was a convenient stop on our way from Spain to Sorrento, we wanted to spend some time in the historic district. Arriving after 9pm thanks to Alitalia (boo!), we were let out a the end of Via dei Tribunali by our taxi who said "100m on the left"...and off we went. The photo on the website is of the church across the street, so we had to look for the house number (in the dark). After walking up to the 3rd floor, I found the entrance to Domus Gemi and Pasquale was waiting for us. He walked us down to the nearby Pizzeria del Presidente (named from Clinton's visit) for a late dinner. Our room was clean, quiet, and perfectly acceptable for us. In fact, it reminded me of my grandmother's house. The steps may not be good for some, but there are steps everywhere in Italy. As other reviews have said, Pasquale MAKES this work so well....even though he doesn't speak English and we spoke little Italian, it worked!! This was a great place to stay in the historic district; immersed in the culture. We easily walked to the seaport, and to the train station, but chose a 12euro taxi ride with our luggage and the heat.

The room was spotless, the pillows top quality and there were plenty of nice fluffy towels. The view out the window was right onto San Paulo Maggiore and the street outside was full of Neopolitan artisans. Excellent restaurants, not expensive, nearby. Pasquale was wonderful -- very hospitable, making us feel right at home. His suggestions of where to eat and what to see were perfect. Would recommend this to friends and hope to stay again someday. We had a wonderful time. Thanks Pasquale.

It is a very centrical hotel with both excellent views and excellent service!!Pasquale, the owner, is very gentle and always keen on giving advice and help. Besides, the hotel is located in the heart of the old (and most interesting) quarter of Napoli, and really close (5-minute walk) to the National Museum of Archaeology. We are a family of four and we shared a quadruple room, but, contrary to other places, it was big and spacious enough to make our stay very confortable!

Domus Gemi is a great B&B in an excellent location. Napoli Sotterranea is right across the street as is the lovely statue San Gaetano. The noise has nothing to do with the B&B--that's just Naples. Bring your earplugs and there is NO problem. Be sure this is where you want to be before booking your vacation. Naples grows on you--but it's not Rome. It's much more lively and earthy. At Domus Gemi, Pasquale is a delight and a warm soul, but you NEED to speak some Italian in this city. We would stay here again.

We had an excellent experience during our stay at Domus Gemi. The Bed and Breakfast owner, Pasquale, is fantastic! He went out of his way to help us find parking, carry our luggage, give us water upon our arrival, feed us well in the morning...and even personally walk us to our museum the next morning. You can't find service any better than this! Pasquale has renovated a place and named it in honor of his parents. The two rooms we stayed in were very clean and high quality. The flat screen TV was a plus. The bathroom was nice and the shower was fully functioning (something that was a bit rare during our stay at other locations) If you are in Napoli, I highly recommend staying at Domus Gemi!

The owner is a fantastic guest, the room are spacious and comfortable, on this side the only down side is that this B&B is at the third floor with no lift. It is a nice cosy nice where you can relax yourself and enjoy your time in Napoli, definitely a place to stay.
