Bed and Breakfast Bovio Suite - Naples

We booked this hotel to have a stay close to the harbor. That is what we got. Nothing more. Naples is not a charming city. As over all in Italy they draw your money out of your pocket. In general you get poor value for high cost. To visit Naples cost us extra as some friendly gentlemen slashed us a tire of the car already at the first traffic light after leaving the highway. If we would have stopped they allegedly robbed us. The rest of our stay was perceived under this impression.

Molto centrale in un palazzo d'epoca. Raggiungibili a piedi piazza Plebiscito e il molo Beverello per gite alle isole. Camera tripla e bagno spaziosi e puliti, purtroppo molto rumoroso (ci sono però delle stanze interne, forse sarebbe meglio chiedere quelle). Colazione semplice, personale cortese e disponibile.

Allez y les yeux fermés, les chambres sont spacieuses, très propres, et confortables. La salle de bain est également spacieuse, et la baignoire a une fonction jaccusi. L'accueil est de qualité. Seul bémol pour ceux que cela gène, la circulation étant très dense et bruyante à Naples (sauf le week-end) le bruit peut peut-être vous déranger, les chambres donnant sur la place. Cependant très certainement un des meilleurs rapport qualité prix pour Naples.

The main and worst problem about Bovio Hotel is the indications for arriving. There isn't any notice - advertising with the naming of the hotel outside in the street. It is really dificult to find it.

Great staff, excellent location; albeit a bit noisy until construction on the metro ends. (Just close the balcony doors and the noise disappears.) The only drawback is the lack of an in-room safe (which was advertised on this site); something I really hoped to have in Napoli. Nonetheless, we liked this hotel and would stay here again.

The location is good, 5 minutes away from the historical center and the harbour (very convenient to catch an early boat to Capri). The breakfast means just a croissant, juice and coffee, so I was a bit dissapointed at first, but they were delicious (best coffee I had in Italy, actually). There are several nice restaurants and pizza places around the Piazza and a supermarket just around the corner from the hotel entrance. the construction site for the subway is still open, so it's a bit of noise or at least this was the case with our room, which had a very large window towards the Piazza Bovio. The hotel is on the fourth floor of an old palace, there is marble everywere and the entrance looks a bit like a museum's. The room was spacious, clean and the service excellent. Overall it was a great stay and the people were very helpfull. Thank you Narcisa!

Bovio Suite is on the 4th floor of a grand, old building on a very busy, noisy thoroughfare. The rooms do not have double glazing, but some open onto a quiet, inner courtyard. The suite is large and has a jacuzzi, but is on the noisy side. Breakfast of coffee/tea, pastry, joghurt and fruit juice was of good quality. There are few restaurants close by and the main restaurant areas of borgo marina, St Lucia and Piazza Bellina are 25 to 30 minutes walk or 10 minutes taxi ride, as is the main railway station.

Perfectly located for central Naples. Staff really helpful. Rooms clean, spacious and comfortable. Excellent stay.

Centrally located B&B in Naples, no parking available despite saying there was in their brochure. Found it difficult to find a restaurant in the area.

The B&B was not easy to find by car. It is located on Piazza Bovio which unfortunately was undergoing major reconstruction work during our stay. The rooms are large, spacious and comfortable, but the street is a little noisy. Breakfast was superb, and we would stay here again.

The Bovio Suite is easy to find as it is on a major Piaza. It is a nice hotel and the staff was gracious and prompt. We loved our stay there and would recommend it. The price was good. The continental breakfast was modest but adequate. The coffee as in all of Italy was excellent.

I just loved this place! At first I was dissapointed because the piazzas in Corso Umberto I are currently under construction of the extended underground system. The noise levels during the day was high. However, I fell in love with Napoli and Bovio Suite after the first day. The hectic pace of living, the contrasts between modern/old and yes even the traffic makes this city one of my favorites and Bovio Suite is right in the centre of it. With huge rooms, stylishly decorated with antique furniture and very nice bathrooms, I loved this b&b. The view from the balcony, down the Corso Umberto is stunning. The staff is enthuisiastic and friendly, obviously enjoying their jobs and meeting new travellers. Boviou suite is currently under renovation, this does make for some dust during the day, but wow! it will look great once the old marble are restored. If you want to visit Napoli, this is probably the best place you can stay - centrally located in a good neighbourhood, spacious/stylish rooms at a good price, and the best breakfast coffee in Italy.
