Bed and Breakfast Bonapace Mergellina - Naples

We are a family of 5 and this was our first visit to Napoli centro. I initially was a bit anxious regarding the visit because we were traveling by car and you hear so many negative stories about Napoli and trying to negotiate the roads. A great feature of Bonapace Mergellina is its location. It is very easy to reach by car from Exit 8 off the tangenziale. Take along a printed copy of a map from Google or Mapquest just to be sure. For a small fee, the B+B provides a secure garage parking space. The B+B is located in a charming, older building with odd-shaped rooms and the need for 4-5 keys, but it is clean and secure. The best selling point of the B+B is its staff. Signora Bonapace and her husband are very friendly and helpful. Signora Carmella runs the hotel during the day and provides the breakfast. She makes her own breakfast breads and marmalades which are fantastic. The location of the B+B affords easy access by train, Metro, or walking (20 minutes) to centro. There are two restaurants ~ 5 minutes from the B+B that offer 10% discounts for guests. We visted during the high-price Christmas season and our cost was about 40 euros/person/night which is really quite reasonable for a B+B in a large city. In summary, I could highly recommend the Bonapace Mergellina.

I was very impressed with Bonapace. Carmela was lovely and very friendly - she always had a big smile whenever she met you. Also her homemade jam in the morning was delicious. The location near the Floridiana Park was great for jogging in the morning. Maybe some fresh fruit in the morning would be a good addition but that very minor.
