Bed and Breakfast L'Attico - Naples

Was a great place to stay, i got a good price on the room because i book early and was definitly worth it!! Was a beautiful room, some of the furnature was out of date but didnt matter as it was a great view! Was very loud when i opened the windows as the train station and a main road were right out side and even though it was the 8th floor it made quite a racket.. But for the price you pay its a lovely small place with ony a handful of rooms and the owners were lovely!! I do recoment this place! Great location!

Very very good accommodation. Basic (as the price suggests), but very comfortable, clean, welcoming, and in a great location. We also had an amazing view looking out to Mt Vesuvius. It was also a very easy walk to all of the sights, and the train station was just across the road for our trip to Pompeii.

We had an excellent stay at L'Attico B & B. Small, family run, the owner went out of his way to accomodate us in our requests and struck the right balance in friendliness and in giving us our privacy. The hotel is well described by the owner and guest comments - the area is not pretty to look at but we found it ideally located for trains, buses and for strolling about to various parts of the city. Had a great stay, very good value, highly recommend.

Right next to Termini but it's safe - the building has lots of security. Luigi is great - good advice on restaurants - nice man. Incredible value for the price. Room was very clean.

What a lovely hotel. Right near the train station - so convenient and I was surprised at how quiet the rooms were. Staff were helpful and welcoming. And Naples is such an interesting city.

Staff was very warm helpful and nice. Breakfast was very reasonable, surrounding was intimidating looking esp at night , but location was excellent, very close to metro

The gentle old man at the reception was very nice, honest and accommodating, and if only for him I will recommend this hotel value-for-money. Just close your eyes on the way up to the hotel so you won't faint out of horror...

In spite of the surroundings, the B&B offers excellent conditions at a very good price. Once in the B&B, you have everything, from AC and fridge, to a spotless room, cleaned thoroughly every day. As a plus, you are at a 1 minute distance from the railway station and from the place where the airport bus stops.

We paid the price for this hotel with necessary facilities, like elevator and air-condition that are extreamly important for our family. The location is not good, but close to train station. We stay there for two nights, and went to Poempei the next day we arrived. The yong men of the front desk are pretty nice to help us for necessary information we needed.

I was quite impressed by the cleanliness of the room, especially after arriving from an open dump outside. Naples had rubish pilled up everywhere and the building where the hotel is located doens´t look welcoming either - looks old and decaying. But - alas! - the hotel and the room we stayed were lovely. In our room there was clean bed linen, air conditioning and the windows were double glazing, which shut out all the noise from the train station and streets. The tv is rather small but who cares? There is a small table for breakfast - which is an optional item, but is huge, delicious and very good price for money, an armchair, wardrobe with hangers. The towels were big and spotlessly clean, and there were amenities such as soap and shampoo. The lady who were in charge didn´t speak English, but was very friendly and helpful. We got to the hotel very late at night, but there is a 24-hour cafe just outside the building. They had tasty pizzsa and drinks at that ungodly hour which was nice when you want to grab something to eat. On the following day we even bought sandwiches from the same place to take to our trip to Pompeii. All in all, I would highly recommend L´Attico for those who want to be in Naples. The surrondings are not nice, but it´s very close to the main train station and to the bus to the airport. A last information: the hotel is on th 8th floor, and on weekdays you have to pay 10 cents or so to use the lift.

An excellent place to stay in Naples, convenient and close to the station for day trips and buses into the city both. We will definitely stay here again when we return.

The owner(?) was a wonderful gentleman who made a taxi reservation for me and thoughtfully asked that the taxi be on time as I was leaving at 5am and was by myself. Although the area is seedy because of the train station I felt safe and walked to restaurant and convenience store in the early evening. Good location (across the street from the train station) tho area is a bit of a downer.

L´Attico Hotel was wonderful. We felt very welcome there. Owner and his wife were very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and we had enough space. Bus stop to airport siutated just near hotel. Hotel situates just near trainstation, but we actually enjoied this surronding. Seemed like something happened all the time. It might be noisy for people who are looking for silence. But we enjoyed it.

We stayed in a twin bed with a shared bathroom (both of which were really clean!). Very surprised with the spaciousness of the room since we only paid $35 Euros a night! For an extra $2.50 you can get a sumptuous breakfast delivered right to your room in the morning (coffee, juice, croissant and biscuits) The hotel is located on the 8th floor of a building (there is a lift- and the hotel provides a bunch of 10 cent coins for you to take it for free!). It is pretty secure - you need 3 keys to access everything. The building is right opposite the Napoli Centrale (train station) with access to subway/ railway lines. The area isn't fantastic (some interesting bakeries and restaurants) but I wouldn't recommend walking around after dark as some of the surrounding streets don't look very safe even in the daytime. The staff were very helpful in providing directions/ tips on how to get to Pompeii (basically the highlight of Naples). Overall we really enjoyed our stay at L'Attico!

Ok so lets just get the bad out of the way. It is about a block away from the main train station and as you all know those are usually the worst areas. It is just a mess, there are pickpockets at every corner and people trying to sell you stuff that won't take no for an answer. The good part is that it is close to the train station and that you will not be sight seeing in that area. Now that's is over with lets discuss all the good things. The room was very clean and spacious. We went ahead and paid extra 2.50 per person for breakfast which was well worth it. The man at the front desk was great. He drew out the most detailed map for us. He let us know the best routes to get to Pompei, Herculaneum, Vesuvius, Amalfi and much more. He put us on a great schedule and we loved it.

The B&B was clean and comfortable with extremely helpful staff and located precisely next to the central station in Naples. Although it is supposed to be a non smoking residence their was a lingering odour of "fag" in the air at various times of the early morning and late night. This was a little nauseous at times. However it may have been coming from elsewhere in the building as their ar many other occupants within. The local area appears to be unsavoury to say the least but perhaps these differences are just cultural. The general area is noisey as opposed to vibrant. Once accustomed there are some nice restaurants and bars but one always has a feeling of trepidation whilst walking about the place. Wonderful time at pompeii, herculaneum and Sorrento. The weather was not fantastic but that is the same the whole world over.

Our reservation was made for three persons, but one of us didn´t go. The owner consider our situation and discount one third of the rate, so we ask Venere to consider the owner of the B&B the same way.

Location for only one night stay is really great. Just few meters from railway station. Air condition was working and we had nice view on Vesuv. Room and bathrooms were really clean. Nice stay. Don't forget 10cents for lift :)

Bed & Breakfast L'Attico was an excellent place to stay in Naples. Even though it is very close to the train station it isn't too noisy. The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful with tourist information. The breakfast we had served in our room was value for money.

I would like to say thank you to the warm-hearted host and hostess of the hotel. It is a clean and comfortable and considerate hotel.

We spent 10 days touring Italy and stayed in B&Bs every night. Everything was great about this B&B - the service (breakfast brought in on a tray - all prepackaged food stuffs) and the staff. However, the location - though great because it's so very close to the train & bus terminals - is not good. We were in our room by dark with the doors and windows locked both nights. One negative: our credit cards were stolen (darn pickpocket!) and we mentioned it to the hotel manager (owner?) believing we'd receive some assistance from him. Instead, following a bit of sympathy, he told us that the credit card we'd used to book the room was only to "hold" it; he made us pay cash, something that was now limited since the CCs had been stolen. Live and learn!
